Wow! I love the long videos. I usually watch them twice because of all the great content. Thanks for demonstrating how you do your strip sets. I agree, that fold is terrible to work with no matter how much you iron it. I’m glad I’m not the only one who just cuts it off. I love the new “back from the quilter” segment. Thanks for all the work it takes to do a livestream. I hope you’re feeling better soon. Have a great weekend! Blessings and take care.
I've been on vacation last week. I just wanted to tell you Kimberly how much I have enjoyed this series. I have learned so much from you and your tips. I have been a self taught quilter for over 20 years. Participated in our local quilt shop's Saturday sampler for years and was surprised how much more I learned! Thank you, thank you, so much!!!!!! I loved it!
Thank you for spending the last 36+ weeks doing sewcialites , this was my first SAL and I kept up😊. Thank you for having the first set of blocks easy enough to get me hooked. The middle blocks difficult enough to keep it a challenge and then easy again so I wasn’t discouraged. Also I love your personal stories and mistakes, it keeps things real. Keep up the great work and great customer service 🥰. Looking forward to next SAL💕
There is so much great content every week! Would you ever consider sharing some sort of index to help us refer back to applicable livestreams in the future?
I take a picture with my phone , then turn it into black and white, I get a much better perspective on where too much dark is. Thank you so much for the long video, I so enjoy learning new things. Hope you feel better soon. What a trooper.
Great show! I am sewing the 6" quilt. I like most about your show: is your Honesty; Learning! Your Tips Sharing and Demonstrations makes me love your show. Thank you!
The pink top you are wearing is lovely on you. I have learnt so much following this series with you, I will definitely sew along with the next one. Thank you so much for all your work and efforts. ❤️🌸
I always look forward to watching your videos. I’ve learned a lot and enjoy sewing even more, now that my blocks are turning out much better. Thank you, Kimberly 🌸
I love the way you show your mistakes because it really, believe it or not, actually helps me to do better and know its ok to make mistakes.....thank you for being you
I sometimes watch twice! I love all the details you talk about on the new stuff, the trick and tips- they’re all precious gems that helps me be a better quilter.
Thank you. I like that you showed your oops stripset block. Personally, I think it’s important for you and other quilt makers and designers to show that you struggle at times and not all of your blocks come out perfect. I wish more would show their imperfect blocks. Btw, I work any extra fabrics and imperfect blocks into my backings. Makes them more interesting. Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks.
Thank you so much for the video today. My Kitty Corn fabric jelly roll was waiting for me when I returned home today! I can't wait to sew it up for my grandsons. Best wishes and I hope you feel better soon.
Did the xmas sew along after you showed it & I loved it, was my second quilt I made & learned to be fussy(I'm OCD also, runs in our family) from watching you...all my corners have to be right on &my ironing is same big thanks to our girl Kimberly Jolly
Oh Kimberly I feel for you. I’m fighting allergies and asthma right now and I didn’t even go on a walk outside. Had to go to doctor for breathing treatment plus he put me on steroids. I am some better but then had an air conditioner water leak problem in my apartment and that has not helped at all. Take care. I didn’t get to do Sewcialites but still feel like I leaned so much watching each week. Thanks.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ love FQS you’re such a trooper! I have learned so much that’s why I watch you and shop at FQS. I OWE ALL OF MY QUILTING KNOWLEDGE JOURNEY TO FQS. COVID TURNED ME INTO A QUILTER 🎉🎉👍🏽🤩🥳
Thank you so much for your tips. In sickness or in health your there. You should be home in bed. Im sure everyone new you were sick they would understand. Get well soon.
I like how the makers used florals - Folktake and Cider (by Basic Grey) - for the Lori Holt designed sewing machine blocks in their Sewcialites quilt...nice effect!
Just a suggestion: Because quilts are heavy... I'm thinking the type of hanger with the swinging arms (like the way Home Goods displays their rugs) might work for you. You could load the last arm with the Serendipty quilt and swing the rest of the arms to the left so it's visible as the background in every video. But, we you have multiple quilts to show, like today, load up the quilts and just swing them from left to right.
I loved the phone story! I won't have my quilt top done in time for the drawing. I am doing alot of hand embroidery on it too. I have no enjoyed doing this do much. It was my first SAL.
So sorry you are feeling under the weather. When I sew blocks together and find two that don’t match by size, I always measure to see which one is out. Never assume which one is smaller or larger?
Will there be a kit or fabric bundles of Fresh Fig Favorites to make the Seasonal Patchwork quilts by Fig Tree? I want to make all 3 quilts, but want to buy the fabric together to make them all three quilts. If there won’t be a kit, what fabrics would you buy to make the three quilts.
Kimberly mentioned she was going to do the Pat Sloan SAL, but reduce the size of the blocks ... is this as simple as reducing all measurements by 1/2, or is there a formula to follow?
Hello Shirley! Kimberly is considering changing to the Faultless Original Heavy starch because the version she is using right now is not giving her the results that she wants. She said her blocks are not as crisp as she would like them to be.
So I wonder if a rolling coat rack of something could help with the bigger quilts? I know someone was asking if you could have people hold it up, just a thought, I don’t care either way your doing great ♥️
Thank you so much Kimberley for my first QAL. I’ve learned so much with your tutorials. I’ve finished all 36 blocks for a Queen Size! I will send a picture when I’m done. Quick question...can linen fabric be used for backing? Thank you so so much!
Hello Gaetane! We can't recommend linen as a backing, but we haven't tried it. It seems quite lightweight and may not quilt easily. But if you are considering it, try quilting a test square to see how it does, or talk to your longarmer, if sending it out to be quilted.
At bedtime you need to take Robitussin DM Nighttime, but only take half of the recommended dose, you will sleep well and feel much better when you wake up. Hope you get to feeling better soon!
Kimberly, re the private story you shared-we all know that What Happens in Quilt Along Live, stays in Quilt Along. I hope you and Kevin feel better soon. Get on that allergy medicine and stay on it for the whole season!
Question for sew a long xmas in August...jelly roll or layer cake & yardage for back ground so we can figure out what fab lines we want to use???we know it's a secret, but give us a heads up for fab needs
Hello Fallen Angel! We will not be releasing any information until the fabric arrives but we will give you enough time to buy your fabric and stitch along with us.
Hello Brenda! Kimberly used the Summer Sweet collection by Sherri & Chelsi: www.fatquartershop.com/moda-fabrics/summer-sweet-sherri-and-chelsi-moda-fabrics And she used the Mama's Cottage collection by April Rosenthal for the Clementine quilt.
I felt so bad for Kimberly having to talk while her throat was obviously wreaking havoc on her!! When Kimberly creates her strip sets and adds a quarter inch to each strip, how do you figure out how much additional fabric will be needed for a pattern to make the quilt so you won't run out?

Thank you so much for your tips. In sickness or in health your there. You should be home in bed. Im sure everyone new you were sick they would understand. Get well soon.
Lol I loved your phone story. Beautiful little quilts. ❤️❤️
I love that we get to see all your 3" blocks for the chain piecing demo. You are a quilting rockstar!
I like how the makers used florals - Folktake and Cider (by Basic Grey) - for the Lori Holt designed sewing machine blocks in their Sewcialites quilt...nice effect!
Thanks for the strip set info. I am about to make some & now I feel confident in making them.
Another great show. Thank you for showing us all these tips and products.
Well Kimberly, your “crazy” is one of the reasons I watch🤩😜

Thank you Fat Quarter Shop for all you do !!!
I loved the phone story! I won't have my quilt top done in time for the drawing. I am doing alot of hand embroidery on it too. I have no enjoyed doing this do much. It was my first SAL.
I hope you post it and give some close ups of the embroidered areas. I’d love to see how people use embroidery work with their quilts.
I like winding bobbins too !
So sorry you are feeling under the weather. When I sew blocks together and find two that don’t match by size, I always measure to see which one is out. Never assume which one is smaller or larger?
The colors in the RBD blocks are wonderful!!
I like how you sew these blocks, these tiny blocks.🙂😀😃😄😁🙂🙂
That is really abeautiful quilt. I hope some day I can quilt lie you
Another fun sew and quilt chat! Thanks for posting this video!

I am making Sewcialites using my Batik Fat Quarter bundles from the club, what would you suggest as a background fabric?
How is the sashing and9 patch going to fit if you don’t do sashing in between your blocks?
Oh my, I like your blocks are so nice, so cute, are these the 3 inch ones or smaller?
Feel better
Hello Sarah! Kimberly showed the 3" blocks.
I always enjoy your videos!!
Kimberly mentioned she was going to do the Pat Sloan SAL, but reduce the size of the blocks ... is this as simple as reducing all measurements by 1/2, or is there a formula to follow?
Quotation by Zen Chic Sewcialites is definitely my favourite! P.S. Get well soon Kimberley 😊👍
Hope you feel better!
Thank you so much for all you teach us. 💜💜💜
You mentioned you were thinking of changing the starch you use. If you do, what are you changing to and why? Thank you
Hello Shirley! Kimberly is considering changing to the Faultless Original Heavy starch because the version she is using right now is not giving her the results that she wants. She said her blocks are not as crisp as she would like them to be.
Any pattern suggestions for Merry & Bright fabric?

I don't mind how you show your quilts. I get the total look of the quilt.
Is it ok to sew the 9” blocks across instead of going down the columns?
I always sew in rows. It's just the way my brain works. Lol
Kimberly, how much of each of the Prim prints did you end up purchasing for the RB Sew along? Thanks
Hello Nancy! Kimberly purchased 1.5 yards each except for the background which she purchased 4 yards of.
@@FatQuarterShopTX thanks!
Oh my goodness.... you look like and sound you should be home in bed to get well... we would understand💕💕
Kimberly, re the private story you shared-we all know that What Happens in Quilt Along Live, stays in Quilt Along. I hope you and Kevin feel better soon. Get on that allergy medicine and stay on it for the whole season!

Hi, Kimberly! I so hope you are feeling better. Also, can someone post a link to where you purchased the extension table for your Juki? Thank you!!!
Hello Cathy! Kimberly bought it here: www.sewsteady.com/product-category/sewing-tables-insets-inserts/
Thank you!!!
I know you told us at least once before, but one more time please, what is the name of Kimberly’s nail polish?
Hello Susan! Kimberly’s nail polish is OPI Cajun Shrimp
You need to go home as you are sick .I also miss lily very much she was a great asset to videos .🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧😷😷😷😷😷😴🤒🤒🤒🤒
Are the patterns still available for the 2016 quilt along?
Hello SL! Yes, it is available here: blog.fatquartershop.com/crossroads-quilt-along/
Great Demo!!! Thank you!
What collection did you use to make Bloomtopia and Clementine? Those will be my next project
You don’t seem to be very well tonight Kimberley. Hope you’re feeling better soon. 🇦🇺
You poor thing! I’m sorry you’re not feeling well 😢🙏🏼😘
Love my Kola cabinet
What is the size of the design board that you are using for putting all your squares ?
Hello Kim! Kimberly is using an 18" design board: www.fatquartershop.com/nsearch/?q=18%22+square+design+board
@@FatQuarterShopTX thanks
I felt so bad for Kimberly having to talk while her throat was obviously wreaking havoc on her!! When Kimberly creates her strip sets and adds a quarter inch to each strip, how do you figure out how much additional fabric will be needed for a pattern to make the quilt so you won't run out?
Thanks so much
The seam align glue is out of stock currently. Any idea when it’ll be back in?
Hello Libby! We should have more soon. Kimberly ordered more last week.
Thank you!
Get well soon ❤️
Love you Kimberly
I always put my phone in my waistband when I don’t have pockets. Glad im not the only one
Even in the phone instructions, it is recommended that you keep the phone 5mm away from body parts!!! Decreasing risk of health issues!
The two outside strips should be cut bigger but the center strip the size on the pattern. Less waste, but still bigger for cutting exact!
where can I find the second kitty corn pattern Kimberly showed
Hello Cindy! The quilt panel is available here: www.fatquartershop.com/kitty-corn-pre-packaged-quilt-panel
Yes, you sound like a doctor’s visit is in order. One question: Red Magnetic Pincushion
Allary #338A. Is this the one you use on camera?
Hello GK! No, it is not. Kimberly used a custom pincushion that is no longer available.
When is the kitty corn quilt kit suppose to be in?
I ve missed a few. I m missing Lilly. Is she ok?
Hello Amy! Lilly started a new job about a month ago.
When is the Halloween QAL starting?
Hello Mollie! We have not set a date yet due to fabric delays.
Why not make place-mats out of those flower blocks, that you're not sure where to put a quilt in your kitchen!!?
💛💛💛
💘
We sewed at the kitchen table, my father would find the strays by stepping on them! He was not pleased.
