That's so very kind of you, thank you so much! I'm glad I was able to tell the story of his life in a loving and respectful way, as that is exactly what I've always felt for him. And yes I agree completely, he was certainly one of a kind. You're so welcome, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Clearly you are the very best biograher/researcher I have ever seen. An immediate subscriber. I learned so much more about the man than ever before. The timelines of his films and relationships were most enlightening. Cary Grant elicited a full range of feelings in me so quickly and deeply that I never tire of watching each and every film he made all over again. Thank you.
Wow! Thank you so much! I’m deeply touched by your compliments and I’m so pleased you enjoyed the biography. ☺️❤️ I fully agree about Cary’s career. He always was and always will remain one of my favorites!
I never realised how wonderful and interesting Cary Grant would be. I love how well you have done his life justice. His telling of finding out his mother was still alive was heartbreaking. What happens to us as children affects us for the rest of our lives. I am so glad that he found true happiness in the end. Thank you so much for posting this. I am now a big fan of Cary Grant and just watched and enjoyed the bishops wife. I look forward to watching more work from this amazing man and all thanks to you. ❤️👍🇬🇧
My husband and I never let the Christmas season go by without watching, "The Bishop's Wife" at least once during the holidays. It's been a favorite of mine since I was 19. We love old movies, 1930's - 1950's, and when we see Cary Grant in the credits we know that we'll be watching it. We especially enjoy his movies when he was a little more mature. Thank God for all the pleasure he and his costars brought us. Always impeccably dressed and no profanity. When actors knew how to act! 😊
This is beautiful ! The best biography on Cary Grant I've ever watched , it's deeply informative in a respectful and warm way . He is one of my favourite actors as he was highly skilled in his craft and very versatile. Thank you for this , you've done Cart Grant a great service by a true insightful look at his life.😊
As an old Hollywood TH-cam channel myself, I really appreciated this and I’ll revisit it time and time again as I research future videos. Subscribed :)
thankyou so much for this, your honesty, love and gentleness shine through-so many Biographies lose any sense of humanity for the person who struggled, the person within, the one labelled "star" you remembered family/friends/faults flaws/pain and love-a remarkable person, who endured so much. I had read /knew much of this previously-but you balanced all with love, fairness and such tenderness...sorry i repeat i know! i am sure he would have loved this! thankyou
(@@NashaDean Sincerely my pleasure! I am a huge fan of 30/40's film and film Actors-many endured so much-escaping(for example Jewish Actors Germany,( E,G. Herbert Lom escaped Germany with his Fiancé her papers were incorrect and she was sent back to Germany, never made it out in time and died in the Camps-Can you imagine living with the guilt/regret) So many amazing people- I look forward to watching your other creations-thanks again, so much!
Ms Dean, This is one of the most comprehensive video biographies of CG that I have seen. I have read Diane's book and it too was amazing (and heartbreaking). You managed to tease apart his complexities and flaws by including writings of CG and his wives across time, and this is a level of detail that I truly appreciate. In the end, we are left with these three words: kind, gentle, warm. Thank you so much. New Sub❣
Thank you so much for your kind words, and the sub! I am so very grateful. I'm glad I accomplished my goal that I had going into making the biography, that people would come away truly knowing the real man (Archie Leach) behind the facade of Cary Grant, but also coming away with compassion, understanding and respect as I did. He was a flawed, deeply hurt human being who only wanted love, but had to learn how to love himself first. I'm so glad you enjoyed the biography and I hope you enjoy my future projects to come as well! Thank you again for these uplifting words. It means so much to know my biography has touched so many people. I'm deeply honored. ❤
What a great video! Very good research and tons of information. I've read several times that the man who changed Cary's hair was Leo McCarey, but who knows. The recorded message from Ingrid Bergman was pure love. Thinking now that it was the last time she would wish him a happy birthday brings me to tears, such a great friendship.
@@NashaDean As I always say: "Stay with the one that looks at you as Ingrid Bergman looks at Cary Grant in Notorious and stay with the one that looks at you as Cary Grant looks at Ingrid Bergman in Indiscreet". Acting, but love also.
Fantastic biography. I adore Cary Grant. He was so complex but the overall feeling that he gives me is warmth. One of his movies that seems to not get mentioned very much, is Suspicion. I thought he was outstanding in that movie. Thank you for the hard work that you put into this biography, it really shows. Thank you for sharing Cary Grant with us one more time.
Suspicion is one of my absolute favorites! And yes I agree his performance was absolutely outstanding. Thank you for your kind words, I'm deeply gratified. I'm thrilled you enjoyed the biography and I'm so glad I was able to give Cary the biography he deserved. It was a joy.
What an incredible and well researched documentary. I was aware of the beats of his life but you went into such detail it filled in a lot of blanks. Cary Grant was such an important part of my childhood, my Dad was a big fan and I was brought up watching his movies. Thank you for keeping him alive in a very honest and fair way
You are so very welcome..it was an honor making this bio. I too was raised on his movies and enjoyed watching them with my dad. Cary Grant holds a special place in my heart. I'm so glad you enjoyed the bio. Thank you so much for watching!❤
❤ wow thank you so much. It was just so enjoyable. I’ve seen all his movies. One of my favourites is arsenic and old lace. But he was amazing and anything that he tackled. So glad that’s the last few years of his life, he was able to make peace with himself. Rest in peace Cary❤
I sincerely appreciate your detailed and respectful documentation of Cary Grant. I knew some from listening to others but I must say yours is by far the more comprehensive and compassionate. We all face challenges but we are not all as famous as CG. I would not appreciate my life open to the public. It’s difficult enough how small town gossip can hurt families. I, for one, enjoyed every movie I have seen him in. He was incredibly handsome and talented. I think he was overlooked for awards because he refused to play the game and because he was very talented and handsome. Sometimes jealousy reaches farther than people realize. And now I am going to watch a Cary Grant movie. Thank you very much for your time, effort and compassion. We are always a work in progress.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad you found the biography enjoyable. I hope you have fun watching Cary’s movies! They’re always the best choice ☺️
This was so well done! You are so good at this, you SO need to do MORE of them! Please do more of them! I have subscribed and I await more with bated breath!! A blessed Christmas to you🎄and a magnificent 2024 xx Teresa❤🇦🇺

Just struggling with my mental health at the moment. But I promise to have more in 2024 without fail! The best of blessed Christmasses and a fabulous new year to you as well! xx right back atcha! -Nasha
I loved his movies as a teenager. There was a cinema near me called “The Silver Screen” where they showed a number of double features every week and edgier films late in the evening. You could buy a pass to see as many as you wanted for $5 a week . I idolized Katherine Hepburn then Audrey as well. I think George Clooney is the closest thing we have to Cary but I am glad he seems to have a happier life. Thank you for this wonderful video
I just read the comments and I want to add to the praise of this most excellent , in depth biography, the best I have ever seen. As everyone has said, you presented Mr. Grant's extraordinary albeit complicated life in a sensitive, caring way. The research, the presentation - Outstanding. Kudos to all who worked on this biography. ♥
Thank you so much! That really means a lot to me. This may surprise you, but I did all of the work on this biography on my own for the most part, the ladies I thanked in the end were kind enough to listen to me commiserate when my brain got too bogged down with information, and two of them were able to help me decide which information to include in the bio and what to leave out. But as far as the heavy lifting goes, it was a solo project. So the fact that it comes across as being a group effort is truly monumental to me. I’m very honored by your kindness. I’m so glad my aims to lovingly represent Cary Grant as the human being he truly was, was a successful endeavor, and that so many have found it enjoyable. Thank you, again! ☺️
@@NashaDean The fact that it was a solo project is even more impressive. I definitely subscribed to your channel. The fact that you are taking the time to thank us commenters speaks volume about your gracious character. ♥
Thank you so much, and you're very welcome. It was a rewarding experience, and I am proud I was able to accomplish remembering him as he should have been, and as i believe he would have wanted. ❤
Beautiful job! And a great Mae West imitation to boot! Thanks so much from a devoted fan of dearest Archie- the dreamy and supremely talented Cary Grant. You have a new subscriber here. Best wishes for the season and for your channel!
Excellent job filling in the blanks with the crossreferencing of biographies, very well done. Narrative voice doesn't meld with the flow & timbre of the movie...
Subscribed. Thumbs 👍🏼 This was excellent: clearly extensively researched, well-written, wonderfully edited, and oh, how I loved those photographs! Thank you for the best Cary Grant bio on TH-cam. Can't wait to see what else you've created.
There will never ever be another real star like Cary he was a absolute star in every way imaginable the film stars today just don't have IT like the Cary Grant of the 20th century RIP Cary you are sadly missed from the screen
Cary Grant. One of the greatest reinventions of self in personal and cinematic history. He fascinates me endlessly, as I came from a home like his and bootstrapped it, even changing my own identity and personal and geography. And in the end, Archie found peace. Peace can be found. Thank you for your great biography!
You’re very welcome. I’m so glad you escaped and found safety and peace! That’s something so many of us only dream of. I’m glad you enjoyed the biography! Thank you for your kind words! ❤️
From 1937-1940, Cary Grant starred in: The Awful Truth, Bringing Up Baby, Holiday, Gunga Din, Only Angels Have Wings, His Girl Friday, Arsenic and Old Lace, My Favorite Wife and The Philadelphia Story. No other actor has ever had a string of great films like Cary Grant.
@@dedratiger806 Love Arsenic & Old Lace and HIS GIRL FRIDAY. Usually it's 1 script page, 1 minute of film time. But the HGF dialogue was so rapid and so hilarious, that it was an 160 page script for a 92 minute film.
I loved him in Topper, 1937. Amazed that Hedda Hopper, who seemed to hate him, was in that movie. Loved the scene you showed with Hoagy Carmichael playing & singing Old Man Moon! 🎹🎵
Kudos to you for presenting a caring and intelligent biography of one of my favorite actors. I have subscribed and I look forward to viewing more content from your channel. 👏👍🙌
Excellent work! Wonderful research, presentation, and narration. Not only a story about Cary Grant, but about the dangers of chasing success -- and illusions -- in the 20th century.
SUCH a pleasure. And no mispronounced names. A lovely vocal pattern. Gentle and intelligent rendering of material I’ve heard before…but so thoughtfully done.
Bravo! Finally…not a whisper of clickbait!!! I love this documentary. My favorite film of Cary Grant’s is “Arsenic and Old Lace.” Comedy doesn’t get any better❣️
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Yes, I strive to keep my channel 100% clickbait free; I only present the truth to the best of my abilities depending on the truthfulness of my research. I love arsenic and old lace too! ❤️ thank you for your kind comment ☺️
This is an extremely interesting look into Grant’s Life, and those things/people which formed him. I’m about 3/4 through the biography, and just learned about Dr. Hartman’s early psychoanalytical treatments (‘50-60s?) of Patients, including CG, with a combined therapy composed of Psychedelic drugs and (talk therapy) psychoanalytics - a treatment that is only now being hailed as a breakthrough treatment for Those suffering from PTSD. (How cools is that?!) Having recently been informed about this (current) treatment possibility for Myself, I’ve learned that it now also includes a Group Therapy aspect - for those receiving treatment at the same time - as a crucial part. For Anyone struggling with extreme Trauma, PTSD and/or CPTSD… I would encourage them to look-into this option for Themselves; it’s relatively quick (though expensive), and is working-wonders for People such as traumatized Police-Officers, Fire-Fighters and armed-forces Veterans, as well as Others. Thank-You for uploading this!!
Wow how Interesting!!! I think I've heard a little about this. That's really fascinating! Thank you for sharing your research, and you're very welcome! Hope you enjoy the bio!😊
"You've changed!" That's the same thing my ex said to me as our marriage was going down the drain. It would be funny if it weren't so sad. Yes, I changed; I went to counseling; I attended Al-Anon; I grew up. Sounds like Dyan was much stronger than I was in that she was already grown up going into the marriage. Good for Dyan!!
There's a lot of details prior to the marriage that wasn't covered in the bio due to time constraints, but really, Dyan wasn't all that grown up going into the marriage. She was blindsided by Cary's behavior after the marriage took place, just as most abuse survivors are. Cary love bombed her during the time they were dating, told her he was "enamoured" of her, would call her and tell her he couldn't stop thinking about her, practically stalked her on a multitude of occasions, and made it very plain from second one that he wanted a seriously casual relationship with her. Meaning he wanted her to live with him and be his lover, but he didn't want to get married. But Dyan made it clear she didn't want to move forward with the relationship unless they were married as she had very traditional values. Cary eventually realized that he would lose her if they weren't married and he agreed, but the moment the engagement ring was on her finger, he began to change towards her. He became controlling and manipulative, but would continue to love bomb her until she was lulled back into a sense of security and felt safe again. He remained charming until after the wedding. The moment they said "I do" and it was legalized, he became a monster. Eventually, after they had been married for some time, and Dyan was coming to close to wanting a divorce, Cary intimated to his friend and publicist Stanley, " She will not leave this house until she is broken. " The years of trauma and abuse that he experienced as a child, plus the drugs and the affect they had on him, truly made Cary into a hurt person who hurt people. He never realized it was he who needed to change until after Dyan divorced him, and he was able to raise his daughter, and he realized that he could now give love rather than receive it. It changed him for the better. But he was an abysmal husband until Barbara Harris. And while it's true that he was not in his right mind at any point during his previous marriages and was unaware of his actions, it still doesn't excuse him at all for the monstrous things he did to his wives. It's good that he changed and eventually healed, but it was very late coming and he did a lot of damage to a lot of women before he finally did realize what had been happening. He definitely needed a much better therapist than Mort Hartman. The amount of damage that was done by Dr Hartman and his ilk is absolutely terrifying to think about.
It's amazing what the human spirit can endure and overcome. It is heartbreaking to realize the depth of his childhood trauma. One would never guess that the Cary Grant in film had demons. I am so happy to know that he rejoiced in being a father and that in his later years, his life ended happily. He had indeed become Cary Grant. What he put Ms Cannon through was chilling and her forgiveness and understanding speaks highly of her. Thank you for this excellent presentation.
Thank you so much for your kind comments! And I completely agree! He went through so much. It’s just a shame that his therapist wasn’t any real help. And it’s even more of a shame that there were no words for abuse or mental illness at that time. Not to diagnose anyone as I’m not a psychiatrist, but he screams borderline personality disorder to me. Which, would fit perfectly because he was both abused and neglected as a child and never had his needs met. Hence his strong abandonment issues. When BPD goes untreated it gets worse and can cause the sufferer to change drastically, which explains why he was sweet to one wife and awful to the others. The situations of his life and stressors at the time seem to have added to his mental struggles. With the right therapist and proper medication today, Cary probably would have healed so much sooner, and hurt no one. Maybe his first marriage could have worked out. It’s a true tragedy. He just wanted to be loved but he didn’t know how to love back. And yes Dyan does seem an incredible woman. I absolutely would not have forgiven cary after treatment like that and would have gone no contact, burnt bridges forever. And would have kept the child from him. Cary was fully dangerous during his marriage and divorce to Dyan, not just to Dyan but also to himself. Its truly miraculous that everything worked out well in the end. I’m glad you enjoyed the film, it was truly a roller coaster 🎢 to make but I enjoyed creating it and learning what I learned. Even tho it made me cry a lot lol
@NashaDean Thank you for responding. I agree with you about Ms Cannon's ability to forgive and that what CG probably suffered was BP. I too, most definitely cried over quite a bit of this. It's amazing that he was able to 'pretend' to such a high degree on film. Remarkable, really.
He was so wonderful. There really are no words to explain it! This biopic really shows how human he was, and how he grew and strove to become more. Cary Grant Forever!

Thanks for uploading this. Made me laugh though that just changing Cary's parting to the opposite side made him look slimmer. I'll have to try that and see if I look two dress sizes slimmer. lol
My Father would see Cary Grant in movies and say to himself "I know him, but how and where from. They keep on saying he was from Bristol and I am from Southampton". Once they said his actual name was Archibald Leash, my Father recognized that he really did know him while growing up in Southampton. In all the years that I have seen and read about Cary Grant, yours is the first mention of Southampton. Thank you for confirming that what my Father said was accurate.
Please note for your research - he was from Bristol which is in the South West of England, not London and did not have a cockney accent. Cockney is from the East end of London. Thank you and great video! 😊
Thank you for the information, any information in the biography that is incorrect was due to the material I had for research. I'll be sure to correct it if I do any future videos on Cary. Glad you enjoyed it!😊
⬜️🔳🟧🟫📽🎬 Thank you for this exceptional film documentary on C.G. life: without hesitation, it's one of the best I have ever seen, a rich triangulation recounting the epicenters of his myriad incarnations and trajectories. Wonderful.
Wow, as a Cary Grant fan, I was shocked by this bio. His off screen persona is so alien to his on screen one, he was what is now considered a domestic abuser, controlling, narcissistic. It does not diminish his films which are great, but as a person, he is a let down - his upbringing, although sad, should not be an excuse. He did redeem himself a little by being a good dad. I wonder if he might have been a different person if he had had children earlier in his life, where his focus could have been channelled towards others rather than himself.
Agreed 100%, except that I dont believe explaining his childhood trauma is an excuse or should be considered one..it is, however, an explanation of what created the monster within him that he didn't learn to conquer until he became a father. His daughter taught him how to heal, which was what he needed most. The quack "therapist" he had in Dr. Hartman certainly didnt help him heal, in fact, hartman enabled his trauma and his behaviors towards Diane as well. Jennifer and Barbara (Harris), made him realize he had to love others in order to be loved back. And that's what healed him and made him change into a loving, kind and gentle man in his elderly years. It's a shame it took him over 70 years of hurting others and hurting himself even further in the hurting of the others before he realized that. I agree, I was disappointed when i was doing the research for the bio. But I perservered because all I wanted to do going into making this biography was for the world to know who Archie Leach truly was, the face behind the mask of Cary Grant. Some of the truth wasn't pretty as you know. But it was necessary to be told for people to truly know him and I feel that I accomplished that, so while it was disappointing learning the truth of his real personality, I feel rewarded in the final production. I'm very disappointed in his behaviors prior to meeting Barbara Harris and beginning his healing process and redemption. While I'm not saying I condone his early behavior at all, and while making a positive change in the future doesn't excuse past abuses, I have to say I'm not disappointed in the healed Archie Leach, who realized abuse and control was no way to treat others, especially those you love. That Archie Leach I have compassion for.
In the early 80s my parents built a beautiful house, much like the one in Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. To this day, that is one of our family's favourite go to movies. "It's a ledge...".
My favorite actor ever since pre-teen to current days. The 10 films were selected by National Film registry by the Library of Congress as culturally significant - were my favorite 10 films - except for one which was also superior - Suspicion A+++ And he was selected as #2 after Humphrey Bogart in Golden Age of Hollywood. Actually to me he was #1 can't remember more than 2 films by Bogart that I liked.
Great work here. I appreciate that you took the time to delve into his wives' lives as well. But Barbara Hutton looked so frail - almost elderly next to Cary. Was she much older than him?
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! As to your question, Barbara Hutton was 8 years younger than Cary, but looked much older due to her eating disorder. She was anorexic, I believe, all of her life; and that is why she looks so frail. Hope this helps 🙂
Best indepth documentary to date that i've seen on Mr Leach, thank you. The TV 📺 drama on ITV X (here in 🇬🇧) was quite good & actor Jason Isaacs did a very good proformance as Mr Archie Leach. R.I.E.P 🕊 🤍
@@NashaDean I watched it yesterday on one of those streaming sites. Jason Isaac is fantastic & it's a really good series, some of the script is questionable & the old scenes changed for dramatic purposes can be annoying but it's really very good.
I feel so sorry for the pain he went through about his dear mum. He sounds like a deep man but I’ll never be able to accept his sending the dogs away. Just like his father did Elsie. If I was in Diane’s position I would have given him an ultimatum of either bringing back the pets or I would be leaving. He was a troubled soul. I’m also very sorry for what he went through at the hands of the gossipy columnists set out to ruin his rep. Great actor.
I completely agree about the dogs, and of his treatment of Dyan. She didn’t realize she was being abused until several years later, which is typical, I know; but I’m glad she did finally leave because Cary was becoming very dangerous at that point. Who knows what he would have done to her if she’d stayed. His behavior was absolutely despicable, and unforgivable.
"People Will Talk" and "Penny Serenade" are 2 of my most favorite Cary Grant films. While neither are "sexy" per se, his performance in both are, as always, memorable. ❤
Oh yes indeed. I worked on putting the video together 14 hours a day for 3 weeks. And that was just the compilation of the video part. The audio and writing and recording and research took longer. All told it was four and a half months in the making. It was a lot of work. But sooo worth it!
Doris Day is a fantastic actress, any female lead who could star in a sex comedy with Rock Hudson & make it look plausible, deserves more than just flowers. She should've won an Oscar.
@@NashaDean This upload is really good, you've done a wonderful job. I've just watched Archie so I wanted to know the real story. I won't spoil Archie for you but you've given a much more accurate account of his early years in Bristol. Thank you & well done.
Thank you very much! Yes, I've seen Archie and I was very confused as to why they changed the most dramatic and heartbreaking parts of his life when they were dramatic and heartbreaking enough as they actually happened. But in a sense I'm grateful, as the show has brought many more viewers to my biography, and I'm very pleased so many are enjoying it so much and finding it helpful. I'm so glad you've enjoyed it as well, thank you so much for your kind words!😊
He tells the story that it was his mother who took him out to eat & to the to movies...so, I’m a bit confused by this different scenario. He said he wished there were more of these times, I remember. 🤔🤔🤔
Yes I have read that account as well. It's very confusing. Perhaps some of those memories were fabrications for comfort or perhaps not. From my research I found more of the stories with his father so I went with that line of narration. But it is indeed confusing.
@@NashaDean I’m amazed at how much you found out about his father! Glad Cary didn’t want to end up like his father & made better choices. He, his daughter, and Barbara Harris seemed to have great years together. 😊
I agree, and yes I was amazed too! When I tell you I sobbed like a baby for two days straight while researching the information about his dad, I do not exaggerate!! It was GUT WRENCHING. The love hate relationship they had was so visceral. So sad. 😔
@@NashaDean ... quite painful listening in parts. Have you seen the TV 📺 drama "Archie" starring actor Jason Isaacs as Mr Archie Leach? It's on channel ITV X here in 🇬🇧
I havent seen it as yet but I'm anxiously waiting for it to drop on britbox. I'm very excited about the series! And yes, some spots are very hard to listen to. I cried quite a lot making this bio. 🥺
I have never seen a Cary Grant movie i did not love. All of them i have qatched more than once. Just qatched Charade again. What a handsime man at any age.
Hello and thank you for your comment! In answer to your question, the reason Arsenic and Old Lace is never mentioned, is primarily because I only had so much time alotted for the documentary. I only wanted it to run for an hour and 44 minutes. The original version was one hour and 55, so this version is cut way down to fit the time constraint. But the other reasons was because it didn’t come up much in my research, as I was trying to focus on his life moreso than just his career; and lastly, I didn’t include it because of all of the films Cary Grant did, it was the one film he hated. He was ashamed of Arsenic and Old Lace. Felt his performance wasn’t good enough, or too over the top. Of course we know this is absolute rubbish. Arsenic and Old Lace is a masterpiece and his performance was superb. But as he didn’t like it, and I was trying to fit more of his life into the documentary, I chose to exclude it. Hope this answers your question. 🙂
Carey went to great lengths to make his co stars fall in love with him. How could you not? Hard to hear how insecure and hard on himself he was, from childhood traumas. Huge fan of his genius once quipping...."Everyone wants to be Carey Grant. I do, too!!"
If any of what is said here about his and Dyan Cannon's relationship is even remotely true it really goes to show how much a pretty face can get away with. If this guy was a fat bald man he'd be getting crucified in the comments.

thankyou so much for this, your honesty, love and gentleness shine through-so many Biographies lose any sense of humanity for the person who struggled, the person within, the one labelled "star" you remembered family/friends/faults flaws/pain and love-a remarkable person, who endured so much. I had read /knew much of this previously-but you balanced all with love, fairness and such tenderness...sorry i repeat i know! i am sure he would have loved this! thankyou
And thank you so much as well, for your kindness!
This means so much to me,

Thank you so much! Yes I agree, they had a very sweet friendship. They adored each other.
@@NashaDean As I always say: "Stay with the one that looks at you as Ingrid Bergman looks at Cary Grant in Notorious and stay with the one that looks at you as Cary Grant looks at Ingrid Bergman in Indiscreet". Acting, but love also.
Agreed! They adored each other and it was very obvious. ❤

So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!❤

I LOVE hearing you laugh. My husband loved to laugh and make others laugh. No one could make me laugh as he did, and you are helping fill that void.

The Very Best Bio EVER!
WOW!
Awww! Thank you so very much!😊I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Agreed! 100%!
Arsenic and Old Lace is my favorite Cary Grant movie. Thank you for the informative biography on his life.

@@dedratiger806 Love Arsenic & Old Lace and HIS GIRL FRIDAY. Usually it's 1 script page, 1 minute of film time. But the HGF dialogue was so rapid and so hilarious, that it was an 160 page script for a 92 minute film.
This was wonderful. VERY thorough, and your voice is a bliss to listen to.

(How cools is that?!)
Having recently been informed about this (current) treatment possibility for Myself, I’ve learned that it now also includes a Group Therapy aspect - for those receiving treatment at the same time - as a crucial part.
The years of trauma and abuse that he experienced as a child, plus the drugs and the affect they had on him, truly made Cary into a hurt person who hurt people.
Many thanks for this intriguing, well researched and presented documentary xx❤❤
You're so welcome, and thank you for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊
It's amazing what the human spirit can endure and overcome.
@MarilynFromTarotClarity I wholly agree. He had amazing talent!
He was so wonderful. There really are no words to explain it! This biopic really shows how human he was, and how he grew and strove to become more. Cary Grant Forever!

You're very welcome!😊
R.I.P. TO CARY GRANT. THE HUMAN WHO CREATED HIS OWN PERSONA !!!! GREAT DOCUMENTARY, FROM, U.K. (2024).
In the early 80s my parents built a beautiful house, much like the one in Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. To this day, that is one of our family's favourite go to movies. "It's a ledge...".
I love that so much! How very cool!! Thank you for sharing that!
I completely agree!

Great biography thank you,!

This was very good. ❤🎉😊
Thank you so much!!!❤️☺️
That man was beautiful til the day he died!
This is really interesting my mother loved all these people thanks
You’re so very welcome, and thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Those two gossip columnists where vilest people, famous for character assassinations.

PERFECT THANKS FROM GREECE
You're welcome!
Thank you for telling me more about him
My pleasure ☺️
Why is Arsenic and Old Lace never mentioned?
Excellent!!
Thank you so much! 🥰
Carey went to great lengths to make his co stars fall in love with him.
How could you not?
Hard to hear how insecure and hard on himself he was, from childhood traumas.
Huge fan of his genius once quipping...."Everyone wants to be Carey Grant.
I do, too!!"
Cary is a legend!
Make a video about Joan Crawford, pleaseeeeee
Bravo 🎩🎩
Thank you very much!
Beauty is always complicated , would it be beauty if it was nothing less?
Love this!❤️
@@NashaDean , thank you .I look forward to seeing more of your well researched presentations
Thank you so much!😊
If any of what is said here about his and Dyan Cannon's relationship is even remotely true it really goes to show how much a pretty face can get away with. If this guy was a fat bald man he'd be getting crucified in the comments.
That is a valid argument.
My favorite Cary Grant movie 🍿 is Arsenic and Old Lace
The movie was okay, but I felt some parts were a bit long-winded. I wish there were more images from his movies.
Sorry you were disappointed, but I appreciate you watching to the end. 🙂
Being new to Hollywood, and being tight with money, what better way to save money than invest in property with someone else until you are able to earn enough money to buy somewhere of your own,
Right? They were very shrewd businessmen.

Excellent video, ,but ..... 11.38 mins. Please note British people pronounce it Nor -ich. with a short o, not Noarwich! Many British place names are not pronounced as they are spelt, so American TH-camrs, please double-check first.
Thank you, I've been corrected on this many times and have made note to pronounce it correctly in future videos. 🙂
