Here an interesting sidenote about the Damage Values of Samus' Arsenal:
As soon as she obtains the Plasma Beam, the damage of each Beam stays the same as the wide beam, but the Plasma Beam deals "Damage per Frame" due to his ability of passing through enemies, meaning under specific circumstances the Plasma Beam would deal more damage to an enemy than a Super Missile/Ice Missile, like for example in the case of Ridley.
He is huge and has a huge Hitbox, Therefore the Plasma Beam/Plasma-Wave-Beam takes more frames to pass through Ridley and Therefore it deals an immense ammount of damage
