Dead/Dying Bodies (both Human and Alien) have always been a prevalent part in the whole Metroid Series (save for Metroid NES and Metroid II: Return of Samus, but their Hardware was so primitive at the time, so they don't count against the Narrative that the Metroid Series was trying to make since Super Metroid). That's not covering the other Disturbing Topics the Series has also covered either. Point being, Metroid has always been Dark. Dead bodies are nothing new to this Series.

Little Timmy seeing a dead body on the SNES is a far cry from reading things like “death caused by removal of internal organs” or “this corpse has been partially eaten.” Idk what to tell you if the 16-bit corpse in Super Metroid actually spooked you as much as reading a space pirate autopsy report 😂😂 Sounds like you haven’t actually played the games thoroughly though if you missed those scans

Ignoring that I didn't grow up with any of the early Metroid Titles, and that my first Metroid Game was Prime on GameCube (I who loved doing the Scans of the Prime Trilogy, by the way), I just wanted to show that I acknowledged how dark the whole Metroid Series can be. Even if I concede that the Prime Trilogy was the Darkest in the whole Series (I mean, I get it. 1 had the "Great Poison" (Phazon) that was making most of the Wildlife extremely hostile. 2 had Dimension-Hopping Shadow Monsters (called Ing by the way) that made the Planet they invaded (Aether) a Death Trap, especially for a group of Galactic Federation Troops that were Trapped and exterminated by these Shadow Beasts that can possess the Bodies of whatever Host they want to, against their will on top of that (some beings (like the Luminoth) had to Self-Terminate just to prevent their Bodies from being used by these Evil Shadow Beings). That's not even getting into the Dimensional War between the Luminoth and the Ing, which had been going on for 25 Years. And as for 3, all I can say is Phaaze. It's the thing that's responsible for all that's happening throughout the Entire Series, including the Phazon Corruption of three Bounty Hunters who were Heroes to many. Mind you, it's been years since I've played the Prime Trilogy, so I'm just going off of Memory) that doesn't mean the rest of the Series isn't Dark. The Manga is another Example on how dark this Series can get. Point being, don't bullshit someone who loved Scanning in the Prime Series by saying that they didn't do enough Scanning for the Data Logs.

Tip for new players: super missiles are extremely powerful, you should use them for pretty much every mini boss and full boss as they are the most efficient way to deal damage.
The Flaahgra was so easy with gyro controls! You could actually hit the Botrom tips on the sun panels from any angle without locking on, you're only required to be directly behind each one IF you rely on the Lock On! A little trick I learned from the Prime Trilogy collection!
Something that I like bout watching videos on this game is I don't think I've ever seen a no damage run. Makes me feel better about getting my ass handed to me by the Omega Pirate a few times before figuring it out.
Is there a boss fight called the worm? I remember reading a Chozo lore saying that if you have all 12 artifacts you can fight the worm. It is Flaahgra? Because when I entered the ramber of Flaaahgra all the were are some specters and one of the artifacts to collect. Was it a glitch. Did the game glitch me out of the boss fight??
I still can’t believe what they got away with in a Nintendo game. The scans of the dead/dying pirates on the frigate are BRUTAL 💀

No, the worm mentioned in the chozo lore is Metroid Prime, the final boss of the game. The great poison mentioned in the same logs is phazon
And the chozo ghosts just mean you're on the right place to collect one of the artifacts
