The scariest thing I've learned about love is that someone's love for you can make you love and like yourself more. What frightens me is that in the past, misdirected love has done the opposite for me.
This is something I'm working on as I grow. Above all else am grateful to be growing and learning while partnered with an awesome person!

Shan, as a man I completely disagree, to say that there is no educational component; it is for the individual on the receiving end themselves to come to that conclusion. The fact of the matter is there is much to learn from this video.
This video you made shows a sense of awakening that perhaps people tend to disregard on a daily basis. You’re showing and putting out to the world of what a genuine love could be especially to those that might lack it.
Your awakened senses, your ability to make yourself transparent to the whole world SHOWS, how the balance of someone else can bring harmony and tranquility into ones restless life.
Keep doing what you’re doing, love and live as honest as possible. You’re healing and spreading those traits to others including myself. I can say that I’ve learn much from you and am thankful to have you as a healer on this planet.

The scariest part about love is being apologetically and unapologetically you and hoping the person will love you through it.
What Not To Do At a Stoplight this is such a true statement. If someone laughs at your pain (relationship/friendship), they gotta go! There’s not time for that. I wouldn’t date a man that isn’t able to be vulnerable, empathetic and compassionate. Those characteristics are vital for understanding the human experience. We see what deflection, projection and repression has done to us.

What if just if I told you the scariest thing the person who loving you right person in your entire (ppl called it love of your life) but you fail to actually love him or to receive love from him or her ie not loving yourself because you didn't even accept you yourself to begin with that person. Would you say that even scarier basically you're your worst self in turn rejecting yourself even to begin with. And didn't even gave yourself a chance to felt love, in the very end you found there's a void that person who love you to death take us away but instead of that you decided to let go-some ppl even killed themselves for tragic reason. Don't you think the other person you with have to put up and hold the burden that he or she didn't even have to do. And that person is self-sabotage himself and they waiting for their death and you hope for the slightly hope in the future of not losing them.
There isn't much to be afraid of loving the wrong person but losing yourself is the best way break you into broke pieces. I'll just let you have the thought about that one huh :)

You made me cry so hard, Shannon. I'm very young, 25 years old. I've been in love with the same man for 7 years now. We grew up together, we became adults together, we learned how to love from each other's love. We even separated for a year and a half because I needed to go away (to Europe for school) and he has always been SO supportive of me. Even after all of these years, all the ups and downs, I love him more and more every day. And I am also so grateful and feel so lucky to have him. I just left a toxic relationship that went on for almost 2 years. It's been off and on, and he was always super possessive, can't manage his time, and immature. I've lost many friends, trust, and hope because of him. But he was one of my bests. He taught me that I wasn't as perfect as I thought I was. He was sweet when we werent mad at eachother. I just wanted to be free. I miss him dearly, but I know it's for the best. Can you talk about toxic relationships? I don't know what love is anymore. I feel like my heart had turned off. The other day he did the simplest thing, ( we have the same water bottle) my top was broken and his isn’t. Your video hits close to home. My partner is the only one who can look at me in a baggy tshirt or in granny panties and with no makeup on/messy hair and call me perfect. He's the only one who has seen me as *me*, as in the girl who is vulnerable and scared of commitment and overly critical of herself. He accepts me on the inside but also on the outside whether I am dolled up or not. Sometimes I ask myself if I warrant this kind of acceptance and unconditional love... he makes me feel whole again. I realize neither one of us are perfect but we help each other improve. I'm more patient now and he is more attentive and works on his own self improvement.
Right now I feel like super shitty because there is someone I always wanted to be a part of my life and we even had plans to do Valentine’s Day plans and it feels like he’s pushing me away. He doesn’t talk to me much or want to hang and it really hurts but this video reminded me there may be someone better for me down the road somewhere

This video is beautiful and hits hard. I'm 26 years old and for some reason this holiday is hitting me hard this year. Normally I'd be at home with my dad and he'd buy me chocolates. But I currently I live abroad for work. So it's a bit weird to not see him. I am interested in someone but of course they don't know. I really needed to see this video, like a dire need. First and foremost, congratulations to you and your partner! You seem like you are at peace and I believe that that is how true love should be, it should bring you peace and it is obvious that you have found that with Jared! Second, I have been chasing and entertaining broken people for so long that I believe I can't be attracted to good people. I was in love with him and got just tired of the fighting with him, him not owning up to nothing, childishness after fights. I love him so much but I love me more to walk away!
