I have a question to ask I have an electric guitar and i cant afford to buy a new audio interface, and normally connecting the guitar causes latency will it overcome the latency issue pls lemme know
Would this work external devices like MainStage and automating patches. I can do 1 patch per song with a dummy clip. But when I export the MIDI file and load it back over into session it does not work. Would appreciate any help you can give me.
Hi, thanks for uploading this video. I'm using Amplitube 4 with Ableton live 9. Whenever I play guitar, I hear both the dry signal (clean guitar) as well as the effect sound coming from amplitube, Is there any way to get rid of this problem? I am using scarlett 2i2. Thanks again!
Hey man, there's a chance you have Direct Monitor on the Focusrite 2i2 itself on the ON setting when you should take that off if you just want to hear the signal processed by Amplitube. Also, I think setting the monitor setting in Ableton for that track to Auto instead of In should help! Let me know if that works!
Hey there, what DAW (recording application) are you using? Ableton, Garageband, Pro Tools, Logic, or something else? I can try to help but it'll depend on what DAW you use!
Super Like for you man! but I have a question, how can you do multiple scenes (songs) in the same session? I cannot find the way to set the lenght of the scenes and separate them. Thanks in advance!.
Hey man, you can add scenes in Ableton by using the shortcut (command or option i) The scene length actually goes on forever but the midi or audio clips in that scene can have a set start and end time. I hope that makes sense but if I didn't answer your question, Lynda.com has great resources on setting up Ableton that I'd highly recommend! Let me know!
w1wang thanks for The response! After a lot of experimentation that's exactly what I did. Automate within the clips. But, your answer is very much appreciated!
Cool stuff dude! I'm an Amplitube 4 user too, but I can't get it to sound as good as your patches! May I ask if you could share your presets please? It'd give me some insight as to how to dial in tones using Amplitube.
Very useful. I was wondering if you've routed the signal out to a guitar cabinet using Amplitube as the head? Seeing the cabinet needs power, I'd need a basic pre-amp and maybe a re-amp box?
+John LaFosse hey man. I was actually recording this whole video with in ears but you should check out Atomic Amps' CLR monitors. You can go out from your audio interface directly into it and it sounds and feels great!
Gave it a quick gander. It must have an amp head built in. Looks like it could be a solution.Must be a lunchbox solution out there too to go direct to a guitar cab with DI and reamp boxes. I'm thinking if I can find a simple amplifier guts with no reverb, maybe a simple EQ I can program change with a laptop and ableton. In recording instances, I will review to Reason just to use the Scream 4 unit with Amplitube. Bit complicated but it sounds warm and feedback settings are pretty good. Not a far of the line 6 stuff.
Ah. Check out the Electro Harmonix 44 Magnum power amp. It's a tiny pedal that is also a guitar amp head that you can use with Amplitube into a guitar cabinet. Be careful to take the cab sim off in Amplitube though otherwise you'll have two cabs run serial in your signal chain!
Hi there, I noticed you have the Epiphone Custom Pro Alpine White. I have the same one, though without tremolo. So I was wondering if you added it later or it was already incorporated and if added later please tell me which bridge and tremolo you picked cause it looks awesome!
Hey Matthew i have a problem,my guitar rig is doing just fine on It's own I can launch it and the output is fine and i can play but when i launch it as a VST plugin in ableton, the program doesn't recognize the output.please help?
Hey so I'm kinda confused by the question. Are you saying Amplitube is processing the audio but you're not able to adjust the parameters of the plugin? If that's the case, make sure to open the edit window for the plugin so you can see the app inside your DAW. Let me know if that helps or if I can help further!
Well I'm kinda a beginner but I think my question was totally off topic. I don't have anything to do with an aplitude. I only had problems setting up my guitar rig. When I launch guitar rig on desktop it's doing just fine. But,when I launch it in ableton, it doesn't recognize my inputs, nor guitar, nor vocal. So it is difficult to record .
Hey sorry for the late reply. So does Ableton recognize your guitar or vocal if Guitar Rig isn't loaded on that audio track? If not, make sure you have the track record enabled and that you have Monitor set to Auto or In!
Hey man I don't know much about IAC but i think you configure it from this link: help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/209774225-Using-virtual-MIDI-buses-in-Live And then under MIDI in Amplitube select the right interface? I'm not too sure to be frank but let me know if that helps. If not, contact the IK multimedia support team! They'll get you sorted out!
Recently i encounter a problem that my amplitube can work on a DAW, but when it is opened on standalone mode, there is no input and any sound. Hope u can help me solve it.
CWKIT hey this sounds like you need to go to audio midi preferences (command a on Mac) and make sure your audio interface and the correct input are selected. Have you tried that? If that's not the issue I would contact IK as their support team is phenomenal!
I am using a window notebook. Also I try to setup the audio mini on amplitube. When I choose "Directsound", there will be signal from my 2i2. However, when I go back to the ASIO option, the signal will be gone.
Check if you are monitoring the guitar track while playing. That red button with a black circle in the right within the yellow Amplitube track in the video should be marked. In your session you would check that box at your current guitar track (that may not be called ¨Amplitube¨ as his)
Franck Franck hey so the AmpliTube is on a separate track that my guitar is going through. Ezdrummer is on another track that’s just supposed to give musical context so that the automatic preset switching is in time with a “backing track”. There is no AmpliTube on ezdrummer.
I love you matthew wang
But how do you set Amplitube as a plug in? I'm really lost please help

I see you have live settings on video. I don't have it in my Amplitude 4? What's wrong

w1wang It worked! lol, yes turning off the Direct Monitor on Scarlett did the trick! Thank you very much! Subbed. :)
Awesome! Glad it worked and thanks for subbing! Hope you have a great day and feel free to ask any and all questions guitar / music tech related!
w1wang You're welcome.
YOURE BRILIANT
Nice video. Thanks for sharing your methods.
How to I add amplitube as a plug-in in the first place?
I have no idea what Im doing, I just want to get an amp sound and record guitar.

my ableton is giving me half dry signal and half wet signal. how to get the full fx
Is it possible to uninstall the guitar rigs that are not purchased?
Can i use the same method for bias fx ?
I believe you can with the same method but just check in the manual to see if it receives midi PC messages!
