Since slicing got a overall nerf they should have allowed us to carry more ammo of it. That 60 shots even with spare shot goes very quick. On level 80+ investigations I have to restock at least twice.
are you not bringing the materials with you to craft more?

Really with all this randomness like charms and qurio crafting we should just get used to Sunbreak build videos being just priority lists of skills.
Agreed. Once you've made it to end game the specific gear for a build is almost useless information. The skill loadout is what makes the build.
Only to a point armor matters immensely still because of the point tiers armors have and some are just going to be better than others.
What a priority list is useful for is useful for is if our can’t fit everything from a build in for knowing what is more important. Still Bert important to show what armor is see, what the talisman should look like and what decks you used. Way to many possibilities with armor skill augments to make it reasonable to figure out how somebody fit stuff together.
@@SS2LP thats what the rise armor builder is for. Plug in all your talismans, plug in all the skills you want to have (prioritylist would be good here) and press search.
You will get every armor combination which leads to the skills listed together with what talisman you have.
Sometimes you just have that random charm in there which benefits you more than like a 3-2-1 talisman.
@@DerMotze Nope those cannot account for random skills in armor that’s why build videos need to show everything. Builders are only good for helping an individual make a set not reverse engineer one.
Want to thank you for actually posting builds with 0 augmented armor and only giving recommendations for the armor augments to improve it. I know TU1 hasn't been out that long, but I have grown tired of looking at build videos because most of them don't do a budget build and a min/max build, and most of them are using armor augments and highly recommend having those augments on the armor. Even the document for the current meta builds also show augmented armor, and without those augments or the equivalent, those build lists/guides because worthless.
I feel the problem is that many people look at the augments as another part on making a build rather than what I presume ANG is doing, and approach it when presenting a build as what it is an augment to a finished build.

@@slayer31397 He shows a no charm talisman with no augments, and a god charm with no augments. Most build videos show only a single build, with augments/god charms and highly recommend having those.

OMG I love this gun, been using it fairly since base rise, and FINALLY seeing it get the praise and recognition it deserves makes me very pleased.
For me, i actually have finding great success for my slicing build using the zinogre lbg. While seregios was great due to have 4 in the clip, I did feel a little limited with ammo ouside of slicing which was too much for me to look away from, even though it has high affinity than zinogre. Even though zinogre is more stationary due to the nature of its rapid fire slicing reload, i found it more reliable with extra ammo to use in case of an emergency, like RF pierce thunder and RF normal 2. And now with augments, I was able to upgrade the rampage slot to 3 which fitted in Kushala soul, making my affinity shoot up to 95%. One crit eye jewel seals the deal and leaves attack boost 3 and after rolling for augments, reached 4. This is just how I approached it but I can see why Izuchi is much more comfortable and reliable 😁
How was Sergio's limited it has all the best raw lv 3 ammo with decent/good clip sizes. The only thing that sucks is no walk and shoot but outside of that it's great gun with major support.
@@elliottbetancourt6914 thats very true. For me, its limiting as if Im using a RF ammo, I look at all the ammos I can RF to use as back up/ auxiliary ammo. Seregios is amazing at RF slicing and has great single fire ammos but when my personal build revolves around RF ammos, it feels a bit restrictive but in the end its all personal preference and seregios is still an amazing lbg
@@squishedluigi1833 yeah but the limit has to do with what you can carry. If you can have true spare shot like in mh ice borne or carry double what you have you would not need the other ammos and remember they nerfed this ammo too.
@@elliottbetancourt6914 yeah that is also true. I run spare shot 3 plus extra materials for ammo but even on my best days, I found that certain monsters need a bit more. As I said, its preference since Im very certain that Seregios can bully ALOT of monsters with just RF slicing and its single fire ammos. But for me, I prefer more RF options. That’s all
@@squishedluigi1833 I agree with you and you can also use zino for rapid fire. It has three options for rapid: slice, normal 2 and pierce thunder . I know thunder has to be built with element but same could be said with pierce or normal using their shot type decors for more damage. And like Sergios gun zino has more raw and better affinity when u upgrade rampage decor. The sad thing is single shot elements even with both piece and normal element shots with spare shot can struggle a bit. That's why pierce element is starting to shine in this game even phemeto (TH-camr) acknowledged this for his recent builds on guns. Rapid fire ammos consume less ammo and deal good damage when all shots hit and on investigations it's ridiculous at lv 100. We are lucky have camps because old school MH there is no extra ammo outside of what's at base and if you have friends/teammates bring ammo for you.
Back in 4U i used to make God Charms, basically legal Max Charms with 3 slots for a variety of weapons and for some friends too. What WAS over the top is that I also had Guild Quest Skill Decos, which allowed me to make a set that had Evade Lancing and Guard Lancing with both Steady Hand and Honed Blade. Turning Lance into a True Top tier weapon for me.
I still prefer seregios lbg for rf slicing. With augment, it has a 20raw+5aff/15raw+10aff advantage over izuchi since you need rampage slot upgrade for the latter. The 1 reload speed difference neutralized the extra 1-slot. Stationary shooting need some getting used to, but since you don't need to manage critical distance with slicing it is not too bad. The backup rf pierce 1 is irrelevent imo. If I want to play rf pierce I would use a rf pierce build instead. (Personally used spread 3 as backup since I have some spread up in the set, but only when the monster is pretty much dead already and restocking didn't make sense.)
I don't find stationary shooting to be much on an issue, you can sidestep and slide out of danger if you're not just braindead mashing. That being said, yeah I would rather just single fire pierce and spread 3's as backup ammo with Steve. If I really want more utility ammo options with tolerable backups when maining rapid-slice, I use Zinny
Flow up, Made this build used it for 5 runs it's a great fun play style. Also like your RAPID FIRE PIERCE 2 great build. Converted this build for RAPID FIRE NORMAL 2 used the fine kamura crossbow
this gun has limited ammo but it is a fast LBG, and normal 2 you can shoot all day long barrel and tune up Lv 2 a casual long range fast LBG.

anw i use a mod that can see dmg deal and in that quest u deal 48k dmg out of 108k health of the aurora som and that huge tbh ;P

For base game I almost exclusively ran slicing builds because the damage was insane and tails tails tails
God Talismans are really only useful for Speedrunners anyway. As long as you can clear the content, then you're good.

But yeah op i get what you say. Imo Ang is the best MH content creator out there. I only use bowguns sparingly really but still watch most of his vids and use his builds as a base for sure. Crazy talismans and augments aside, he identifies with common player a bit more than most. Also clarity is a big plus. And lack of spreadsheets to prove a point. The vids aren't bloated and he seems like a cool dude.
@@yggdra1477 Yea i just might. I've heard the name but never watched any vids that im aware of. i just like the bow so much i dont wanna feel bad about how terrible i am compared to these pros. Don't feel that way about lbgs or hbgs because their my "idc, stay away from me and just die" weapon alternatives 🤣 so these vids are perfect for that. formulas for max cheese, please and thank you!
@@Raptchur so my other reply to you seems to have vanished into the ether. and i already forgot everything i said. but Angs format definitely rules. presenting the skill prioritization but encouraging the use of the builder really is the best of both worlds. dont have to rely on having to roll exacts talismans or exact decos. that builder is a god send, but these vids will always help point in the right direction for the reccommended weapons and skills. also, i must be insane because my current bow build definitely uses Dodge Bolt without Evade extender and it is my favorite against afflicted. Dang near use the build as a melee build. For a second I was comfier at cutting tails with it than the LS 🤣 If i get hit with the affliction, I'm usually able to self heal with the melee damage from a few dodge bolt and lunges. its so fun 😊

I knew this will came up the second I see why using Seregios or zinogre where izuchi you can fire on the move and better deco slot.
Sergio's has spread 3, pierce 3 and normal 3 decent clip size on them all and i know it's not walk shoot but great back up ammo. Worst case scenario take nullberries to lower effect of frenzy for bloodlust. Either way great vid. I will update my set but stick with Sergios gun. I hope you will do an update video on the royal lbg and make a vid including the royal hbg. I like both guns and I make two elements for each set so I have like 6 different combos for both guns. If izuichi could run critical fire power and still retain fastest reload and low recoil I would be like ok but it cannot. It's nice to have different guns for diverse builds and fun but if that's the case might as well say zino lbg is useful too. Zino has rapid lv2 normal, good/great clip size 3 normals, decent to good/ pierce ammos, rapid fire thunder pierce, better raw, has stat ammo para/exhaust, and only has more affinity when u upgrade rampage slot with kushala.
seregios indeed has pierce 3 , normal 3 and spread 3 but it doesnt actually get damage bonus from rapid fire up and it is like you said not walk and shoot - I usually try and go for comfiness in the builds i release. :D I'll see what i can do with the guns that you said.

The best slicing guns seem to be one's where the ammo available flows synergistically.
Zinogre's best options get the rapid fire bonus boost, are easy to build around, and you get utility shots.
Izuchi has superior mobility, a fat clip of Pierce 1 to space out slice shots, and KO and poison.
Magnamalo has various ammos to play with, and a lot of sticky. Elder's Grace has literally everything, and can be fun for jumping clusters in between various elements.
Steve has the great slicing options, but even the lvl 3 shots don't seem that strong without any specific buffs, especially in anomaly quests. It's just not ammo efficient, but maybe it's a skill issue on my part 😆

Had one question on it. You said that peak performance works with bloodlust, but even with a Gourmet Fish, your health is not full. Unless it counts the red health as still being full for peak performance?

Its not, angbata has a sticky\cluster build on the channel. The machina hbg lets you fire sticky 3 and has a unique ability to fire clusters like a shotgun instead of crouching over and aiming. Its very fun and still very meta I think. Most of my hunts with it are under 8 mins. But that's because I'm not super efficient.
0:15 please teach this to my 3 LBG randoms who 5 carted on an afficted basarios+ normal khezu (quest was lv 38), i was using a more protective HBG set with sticky+ cluster plus occasional wyvern (they did not get blown away by my clusters), there was really no reason that a 5 cart shouldve happened here tbh

@@shiyagakuori5473 yeah that was by far the most embarrassing co op ive had. none of the carts were mine either. i very rarely cart even on endgame quests and when i do its never more than once per game (usually bad RNG or unexpected negative timing)

Question: Why marksman? Crit firepower doesn't affect Slicing damage?
CF only effects the standard Normal/Spread/Pierce ammos, so you'd use Marksman while Slicing, and depending on your build you might be able to scroll swap to CF when you run out depending on what your backup ammos are. It's probably not worth juggling given two big damage up sources require a specific scroll and the shifts in critical distance might not jive with what you want.

Early on i did a slicing rapid fire LBG, it is nice, and i choose Regios only for the racist deco, but with the update, i think ill switch the gun :)
I miss slicing ammo I dont own a good enough pc or a switch to play Rise so I'm still on MHW. . .wish they would revert the nerfs now that the game is done being developed
Given how much beef the high level afflicted monster carry, the nerfs are no longer merited in my opinion. At the very least they should let us carry the same stacks of 60 + 60 berries the other major ammo types get to carry

i tried this as soon as i saw the video. i'm enjoying this better than the seregios build. but I've noticed something in this video. why is your recoil on slicing ammo is at LOW while on my end it's still on HIGH. I already have my recoil down to level 3 and is using silencer. am I missing something?
Switch skill? Critical firepower add two penalty to recoil, and critical firepower does not increase the damage of slicing ammo

How important is ammo up in this set? I was hoping I could replace this for more dips.
Well it is a dps skill as it lowers your reloading time over the duration of the quest quite a bit. Especially as it has a lower clip size than Seregios'

Mostly because I currently have fastest on my reload time in slicing ammo with spare shot 3 with my current build. Thank you for the info tho.

Tbh I hate how the RNG has affected build videos becoming a less clearly defined set. That being said, I used modded Talismans, but not modded Augments.
I sincerely believe that the augment sytem is fair RNG and fun RNG.
