I think all the Easter Eggs are there for clues on what is going to happen. Ro died in the TNG episode, and she was brought back Each one could be a clue that this season will tie in all 4 series from TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager for a reason. We know the Star Trek:Renegades which is a fan film, had five characters original that were on board. Walter Koenig played Admiral Chekov, Tim Russ as Admiral Tuvok, Robert Picardo as Dr. Zimmerman who created the hologram doctor, Cirroc Lofton as Jake Sisco and Richard Herd as Admiral Owen Paris. I have a feeling that CBS finally accepted it as cannon. This season of Picard about Raffi, Jack Crusher, Worf, Ro and them are like the characters from The Renegade movie pilot. It was pretty good because it reminds me a lot about the characters getting inside and steal stuff. And that the season turns out to be that the whole TNG crew have become Renegades right now along with 7 of 9, some aspects of Kirk and Scotty from the OS and Worf and the Changlings as part of Deep Space 9. Tuvok in the Renegades movie is in charge of Section 31. Captain Lexxa Singh, the leader of the Renegades, and a direct descendant of Khan Noonien Singh. Manu Intiraymi reprised his role from Voyager as the Brunali former Borg, Icheb. Now, I have a feeling that this season of Picard have taken some ideas from Renegades which seems to also lead to something major coming that would see more cast members from all four shows to come.
It’s not bad writing. Stop it. They have too have someone change dude. It’s boring with out it. It’s okay for you to not like it but bad writing not even close.
He's a father. That always supercedes everything. It makes you overprotective, but it comes at a price. I'd let the entire world burn to protect my children for 5 more minutes. It's not rational, but it is human.
@@TravelsTTG it is bad writing. everyone barking at Picard. Left and right. Plus. If it was great writing the fan base would be enormous and in the conventions people would be flocking the tables and buying merchandise. They do not. They are spewing out so much trek to see if things stick and still no true fan base has developed from NuTrek soooo wrong!!!! In 50 years people will see be playing the true optimistic beautifully written trek and this garbage will be sidelined.
Just saw the trailer for Episode 7. Vadic talks to the skull and she is anxious. Then the skull gets angry with her incompetence, tortures her and threatens her entire species. Now Vadic is terrified with tears in her eyes. It's chilling view.
If you remove all the fan service the episode is like half as long. I don't mind a few easter eggs, but this episode felt like, "Remember this? What about this?" I am sad because they used Moriarty as a nostalgia bomb rather than the only known program that can best Data, and by extension Lore and everyone else inside that head. Poor Brent Spiner. He has tried to retire Data more times than I can count.
if they fix the kirk death they will have fixed the long thing i could never forgive the franchise for.. Mind you i dont mind that he died, i mind how he died.. Give the man the ending he deserves
Are we just going to ignore the fact that the Daystrom Institute has a Genesis Device? An upgraded one at that, the first thing Riker looked at was the Genesis II.
There's always a chance Ro was beamed out by the changelings right before the shuttle blows up because they wanted to make the Titan think she was killed 🤷
I thought Moiraty would be used much like Hannibal Lector, where the crew would consult him to figure out what a criminal genius like Vadic's next move would be as it takes a great mind to know one. Also I think Jack has a Pau Wraith in him like Dukat that the changlings want to steal from him. I think this because the woman in his dreams that tells him to find her sounds like Kira and I'm going to guess the way to rid himself of the wraith is to have Sisko remove it in the DS9 wormhole.
If you remember in the tng episodes he was in though, he stated he wasn't like Doyle wrote him in terms of evil. Just very smart and clever and sophisticated. I mean, Picard outsmarted him both times so he was never that big of a threat and wouldn't have really any knowledge Picard wouldn't already have.
Data did upload all his memories up to Nemesis into B4, but it didn't take. So the information was in him, but it's not Data. Hey it's science fiction.😂 You can rip apart even the best episodes of any good old Trek. Everything mentioned this season is explained later in the show, next episode & will be by seasons end. Terry & his team really thought this through, unlike Kurtzman & Goldsmith in PS1 & 2. The other thing is most (not all) of the memberberries & ship porn actually have a purpose to the story or will.😉Great review!
Remember the cardinal rule of the Founders to not kill each other? When Vadic's sidekick killed one of their other (presumably) Changeling crewmember for objecting to their plans, that tells me that these Changelings truly are diferrent from their DS9 era counterparts. And that is worrying.
@@TravelsTTG Subtitles refer to their clicking sound as "Changeling Speak". The Changelings that Jack killed aboard the Titan communed via clicking sound. Safe to assume they're Changelings
But in that synthetic person, Data's consciousness is there even before he died in that computer and was turned off, so he doesn't remember this, because this part of his consciousness didn't experience it! So you could say it's like Will alias Thomas Riker. Same Person but different experiences and memories
best part ???...... Attack Tribbles!! Now that's a scary idea. Behold the Destroyer of Worlds. You could let them loose on a Xenomorph planet and they'd wipe em out.
Only issue I had was the reality of transporting between star systems was not fully addressed he shouldn't take 90 seconds to warp from the institute to fleet museum that should have been some time dilation to address that solid episode kind of sad It will be coming to an end soon let's hope they keep the same formula going forward
I was doubtful. I consider myself a huge Trekkie but NuTrek has been a disaster. But this season deserves credit. I may have some little complaints here and there but overall I am impressed. Only crap I hate is having to wait for the next episode. I wanna binge it all lol

fully disagree - it was nice fanservice but beside that - total flat , like a beach - episode : enforced characterbuilding ... felt more like a farytail, somehow more like starwars with it fantastic storys. i was honestly disappointed. some scenes served well, like awesome villain scene at beginning and end (which you dont have mentioned at all)
I didn't like the villain scene- just senseless violence that's not really impressive or well thought out. Just got slightly irritated and shot a grunt (10/10 writing).

yea, i cried, seeing that flashback riker/data clip. damn this show always sucks me back in. i love these characters so much.
