I’m so glad the homeowner decided to get the help to finally take it to the next level and call it “ Done”. Yes, micro organizing is good but sometimes we get lost in it. I can really understand why you enjoyed working in this space! So much room and yes the Ikea cabinets and shelves are the best! You really did a fantastic job of organizing all her stuff! I was amazed at all the leftover containers! That old wood table is to die for! I love it! I feel pretty lucky to have the space I have for my craft room......a bedroom downstairs that is about 10 x 12. I also have 2 of the Ikea glass door cabinets like your client does and I have all my yarn stored in them. Except for one shelf at the bottom that holds some of my card making supplies. Thank you to you and your client for letting us see this wonderful transformation!
I think this is your best one yet! An idea for the hidden storage cabinet: the homeowner could install a long pull out drawer for access to everything. This type of storage is often used in the basement storage of RV's and the drawer/trays run the full width of the RV!

Beautiful job. For CD;s, I love to put them in a cd binder. So easy to flip through the pages and find what you are looking for. And you can have a binder for music, one for movies, one for exercise videos, etc. They work beautifully
Wow! I must say, I am so envious.... I have a huge craft room, and can’t seam to organize it, it has been an ongoing process ( 2 yrs and 2 months at this house... ).... I’m sure I have too many supplies, and after watching this, I might just have too many storage containers, that are not being utilized properly. I know I don’t have my “ likes with likes” sorted very well. Beautiful!
Love how you organized this craft area. It really looks great, but, more important, it looks like it will work well. The only thing I (personal preference) would change is the orientation of the desk in the craft area. I would want to have the window in the front of the desk to catch the natural light. Great job!
I normally would too.... but that grand desk just NEEDED to be the center of attention - and since that room has so much light, we agreed it was ok. :)
At first I dismissed this video because I could not relate with my small sewing room/office and tiny budget. BUT - the concepts work for tiny spaces too! As I cleaned out my micro-closet, I found lots of storage containers that were empty or an inefficient use of space. I have been decluttering like crazy, now I think I'll stop to measure and plan out the space. Don't be put off by this lady's dream space, TRUST THE PROCESS and be grateful for what you have!!

The table that was left behind by a former resident is one of my dreams-come-true! Solid wood with personality---time to do a furniture makeover! It would become my cutting table for laying out & cutting out sewing patterns & maybe my crafting table too! The "after" pictures showed a well-organized place with well-defined, activity-specific areas but each part of a deliberately-cohesive whole. WOW! I can hardly believe I said all of that because it EXACTLY describes what I have been trying to accomplish in my own space! I AM GETTING THERE, slowly but surely. Great job, girl! Be proud! 🤗🤗🤗

Amazing! I so wish you could come to my home and help me get organized!!! I'm absolutely stuck, it took me three weeks to clean one drawer in my kitchen...and it wasn't even a big drawer. I am frozen with indecision and readily admit I can't do it alone.
Don't worry about purging... just play a game of beat the timer - set it for 15-20 min and see how many "like" items you can get together! When the timer is done, you will be AMAZED at how much you got done! Then... if you want, you can let some of the duplicates go. Later that day, or the next day, do it again! Eventually you will get through everything in that drawer/closet. This will be the starting point to see how much space you need for each category, so you can put things away. xoxoxo
Wow I love it , great job, I have a small craft room which I was cramming sewing and craft supplies together, but when my daughter moved out I got to use her space for a sewing room, now I need to reorganize my craft room to fit everything that's left better, that is going to be my project for this year
I loved this! I m going to tackle our small second bedroom that has many uses. The bigger closet has my craft supplies plus extra needed storage for change of shoes, coats office supplies. I sew burial gowns for infants from wedding gown/Prom dresses etc but only during the winter months. And last year spent time making masks. Like to sew 18 inch doll clothes, embroider and counted cross stitch. My husband has a very small closet for his music things, guitars and etc. We have guitars displayed on the wall. Also in there are organized yearly tax records (much can be shredded to compress) and I have obtain smaller files to transfer to. Have our printer in there on a great stand with supplies below. My husband has his very old 3 ft tall record player (doesn't work!)/radio that he played twice in the 15 yrs we are married! I can't get him to throw out. (It's going back in the garage!!) A couple years ago he bought a nice new record player also. But the great thing about this small room is we had someone build us a Murphy Bed! Then after the bed was build, he built customized shelving on both sides. When the bed is up it looks like 2 closet doors. The whole thing and wall is made from Oak and so beautiful. So I will take pictures of my before and after. I plan to start Wed Jan 27th as it is 1 day I don't have to go ANYWHERE! I'm posting this as a commitment! I love your ideas and videos. You are the Best and most Sensible organizer I have ever listened to! Keep up the Great work!

When I saw the dvd collection I had to tell you about something I found. They are called DVD Sox you can get them at The Container Store or a similar at Home Depot. I was able to put 800 DVD that took up one wall in my house into small bins in a a cabinet. I also used the free software Eric’s movie database to catalog them
