I literally just found you. I just retired and I’ve been a crater, quilter, cross-stitcher, I knit, I crochet, I used to china paint, scrapbook, and make cards. For the last two years or more I gifted hundreds of dollars worth of paper, card stock, rubber stamps and do dahs to make room for a long arm quilting machine. There is still a boat load in my room though it’s much less. I want to turn the space into a multi unit room for all my crafting, and add two desks so I can have friends join me for sewing and crafting. Finding you has already made a difference in how I’m visualizing the room. It’s not much larger than your garage studio. The largest piece I have to worry about is the long arm which takes up 6 feet by 4 feet of floor space and must be accessible on at least three sides. I’ve created a floor plan for the existing furniture and added two desks to use as crafting stations. One of the walls is mute as it’s a closet, and it is stuffed full with Christmas decoration and boxes of porcelain horse s I used to collect. They have been boxed for years, provide my with no joy and so my plan is to move them out, unbox an photo them then post for sale on eBay or some other platform.. They need to bring joy to someone else. There are only a few I’ll keep. Anyway I digress, your videos are helping me decide how to organize the room and I’ve realized I need to rethink some of the furniture and how I’ll use it. I’m making notes as I watch your video of things to check in too. Thank you for the information, practical examples and most of all the inspiration.

What I loved the most was seeing how you screwed the bookshelves together and also seeing how you used brackets on the back side. And then the trim! Oh that really made them lovely!!
Your room looks wonderful! I can't get over how much larger the area appears after your reorganization. I always learn so many tips from your videos, and this was no exception. Love how you put the decorative wood pieces added to the fronts of the book cases.

I started binge watching your videos while in my craftroom. So what did I do? Yup, cleaned and organized my crafty space. Your voice is so soothing , your words very encouraging. Love the pics of Domino! Thanks for all your hard work & your candor about your troubles. Helps us all realize we all have our struggles.
Lastly, I put out a pile of garbage & several boxes of stuff from my craftroom to my church thrift store. You are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy for you and the joy a couple of feet of working space gave you. Your studio is warm and charming, just like you. Noreen, you put yourself 'out there' in such a sincere, honest way. You speak to my heart. I live in a 650 square foot one bedroom apartment. My bedroom and craft share one space. You are so encouraging to me. Your videos on depression have blessed me as well. I hope you have found some level of acceptance of your depression within those close to you. My family, brother, cousins, etc., only ask why I am depressed--I have a place to live, a car, etc. It's not about those things. They will just never understand. You will reach your goal of great transportation for traveling across the country soon. My goal is not so lofty but nearly impossible--a Cricut or other similar machine, new or used. I did that with an arrangement of hanging baskets. I had them arranged perfectly and I knew I'd never get them back that way without a visual reminder.👍🏻

I think you've proven that if you can create such an efficient and beautiful workspace in a corner of a garage, nearly anyone can do something similar in whatever space they can find. Love your new space and so looking forward to your video on what to do with memory items. I'm on day 5 of a major craft room clean out and have binged watched your videos throughout. This room had become a catch all for the last 10 years and it was way past due! During this i have come across photos and memory items that I just don't know what to do with or how to store them. Thank you so much for the motivation and ideas (i now think about foam core for everything).
😆 I love that!!! I sometimes go online to find an organizer... only to duplicate it with foam core! It's an amazing material!

I had watched one of your previous videos it included you installing the gutters for extra space. I was so turned on by your whole organized area, I went downstairs and reorganized several shelves in my crafting closet. When we built this home I wanted the closet in the 3rd guest room downstairs to be my craft closet. I had all my sewing stuff on the left hand side, and my stamping, soap making, floral arranging and cross stitching, I was doing on the right. I've started doing some different sewing items so I decided I needed to redo some of the shelves, thank you for your ideas being a boost for me. Love your new arrangement it's certainly gives you more room to move around and do things.

What an amazing transformation with a minimally sized space. I’ve followed your tutorials many times when re-organizing my rooms. I’ve finally put “ all “ the items needed together in their own rooms!
Now I have a totally two dedicated rooms......
One is my design studio.....I am a tailor and finally have room to design and consult!
One is my creative studio......I make journals and books and all things paper related......so now it is so much easier for me😊
I still have a lot of what I call “ internal “ organization to do. I placed the containers on the shelves to judge the spaces needed and at a later time will sort and cull the contents.....until then everything is pleasing to my eye☺️
I treated myself to a trip to ikea for some storage supplies......so will be working on that next. I did take a pictures of the before chaos......😂🤣😅 and cannot wait to share it afterwards on your Facebook group.
When I first looked at “ ALL “ the stuff.....muddled and piled and in such a mess......I honestly wanted to closed the door.......forget it🤨
Nope......did not do that.......many struggles.....potty words 🤬....etc.......later........my storage shelves and bookshelves were rearranged and ready for the fun to begin.
I’m so happy that every time I was unsure of how I really wanted something to be placed.....yep......I searched on your tutorials and there it was.....a solution for me to follow......not so much to copy you but to use your suggestions [ and let me share here....... ].........and your tutorials have truly been a blessing.....

Looks wonderful, I have a craft room and it is my refuge on many days. Everybody needs a little space to call their own for gathering your thoughts and rejuvenating their own soul; I am very thankful for my space, thank you for sharing yours and being such an inspiration to women everywhere.

It good to rearrange often; you find hidden treasures. When I run out of room on my table, I straighten up and rearrange. Of course I will lose certain items for awhile but they show up again as treasures. 🤣 lol

I have come to realize that we often need to "live" with our spaces a while before we can "see" better ways of organizing them. I have been slowly decluttering this year and what has helped me is reminding myself to let go of things that no longer serve me. I used to be very into scrapbooking when my son was younger and have 3 huge Sterilite storage containers, a bookcase, an armoire, and a desk (with a hutch) that are full of supplies! I haven't used any of this stuff in years but I keep holding on to them. They take up so much space and I would like to have a dedicated open space to do yoga. You have inspired me to let go and give myself some more breathing space! Thank you, Norrine.

Tomorrow is garbage pick-up for big items and it's already on the curb! Who knows, maybe someone else will see it and grab it for their craft area? 😆

I’ve been trying to put a workspace together this past year. Being a power wheelchair user I need a work table that my footplate and my legs can fit under even when elevated. I just ordered a six foot long workbench and can’t wait for it to be delivered. Right now I’m using my kitchen table propped up on canned peaches so the table is higher allowing me to rest my arms on the table, keeping my spinal cord and neck straight and I’m not working bent over which can become extremely painful. Can’t wait to put everything together.

@@TheCraftyOrganizer Yes I did. Then I moved all of my storage unit into it. I’m trying to bring in a box or two each week. It’s going slow. I’ve had some new health challenges so working alone I can only get so much done. I did sell some things, (way too cheaply). I arrange as I go so I’m rearranging frequently but I know it will com together. My goal right now is to create and sell some valentines cards locally. Great to hear from you, Norrine. If any of your followers are like me in that they don’t have many friends close by and would like a new friend, feel free to pass along my contact info. Very nicely done. Don't you worry about your stuff getting dirty or stolen, since you're in a garage? You're right, it's always a mess before it gets better. I know from putting up Christmas decorations and the monumental task of putting everything away. Thank you for sharing.
In my neighborhood, the garages are set back on the property behind the house. So I am safe inside a gate. Now... the dirt is an entirely different thing!!! LOL I have to clean regularly (weekly) I am SURE you could see I'd taken a couple weeks off in the video! 😆 I don't mind dusting though.... it's not much worse than the dust in my house. :)

Norrine, I love it. I’m like you, an organized space makes me feel better. My favorite is as always the way you store items, the turquoise boxes, file holders , and glass jars. Beautiful , and clean and organized. I guess my next favorite is your peg board area. I don’t have that in my home office because I associated it with my old space that was a cold unfinished basement. You’ve made me re-think that. Happy New Year.
Oh, if you have time to fall down a rabbit hole... look at peg boards on Pinterest!!! Some of them are SO STINKING CUTE!!!! They become these art focal points of a room!

My home also is small. My husband and I purchased a 12x32’ double-lofted barn which we divided equally with a wall between. He has half for his drum studio and I have the other for what I call craft-room south.

The little extra space you gave yourself makes a big difference, turning the table made it seem more open too. I so miss having a craft room, now having a craft corner. The positive is it makes me think about buying things since space is such a premium. This is probably heresy to many, but here goes: I wish I hadn't bought my Ikea Kallax unit. I'm finding I miss my bookcases. None of my paper holders fit and the Alex drawers are no bargain either. The bright side is they look good in the living room! I look forward to more vids from you.
Can you do a switch?? Use the Kallax in a different area and bring bookcases back to your craft corner?? I love moving things around to use as different things. My dresser has been in my room, used as a TV Stand, as a buffet... LOL Just know, It's ok to change the intended purpose!
