Just making sure it's not a typo, the recipe for birria requires 10 bay leaves? In the video it just seems like a handful. I actually just made this recipe this week, although I had to use california chiles as guajillo wasn't available. Still turned out delicious.

I made mine in the slow cooker yesterday. I did 2 hours on high and then came back and flipped. Set the timer for 4 hour on low. After that I put the chiles, onion and carrots into the blender and whirled away. This made magic with the broth!!😍😋 My family tore it up.

Ok, what had happened was... I had to send someone I knew had no clue how to find the chillies you were talking about to the store to get the chillis needed for this recipe. So I just told them to get jalapenos.I used the ones in the crock pot for the sauce. OMG good. Because of the heat index I cut the chillies in half and made the sauce. It came out outrageously good. It wasn't the beautiful reddish color in the video but, the flavor was crazy good. I saw this posted from a restaurant and really wanted to make it. Your recipe is incredible. In these coid times those of us that love variety are always looking ways to make incredible food. Beanie weanie gets old incredibly quick. Thank you.

Just made this recipe today and HOLY S&@T this was some fantastic Birria. Had the best birra tacos last week from a food truck, so it made me want to try it since i found nice Chuck Roast on sale. These were as good if not better. Crockpot was super easy too. Watch her video for the instapot as well. I blended the chopped up guajilos and onions and poured it back in for last hour like she did and wow.

Im sorry but im a little confused on the whole garlic. Do you leave it on with the whole skin and peel or whats the prep for the whole garlic bulb??
@@elizakristinehernandez8660 whole cloves should be fine. The slow cooking will soften them almost to the point they break apart while stirring.

If you don’t have the Chile’s blended up to cut the time down. Do we just put one dried chile in the crockpot with the other ingridients?
I would boil them separately until they are soft, then blend them and add the chile sauce as if it were the powder. Have a lovely day 💕

Just made this recipe today and HOLY S&@T this was some fantastic Birria. Had the best birra tacos last week from a food truck, so it made me want to try it since i found nice Chuck Roast on sale. These were as good if not better. Crockpot was super easy too. Watch her video for the instapot as well. I blended the chopped up guajilos and onions and poured it back in for last hour like she did and wow.

Yeah, no kidding!! I had my soùs chef (niece) assisting me and I tend to be quite bossy and ran her out the kitchen...but there was tacos at the end so she was happy 😂

I would imagine a similar recipe would work? Maybe just less liquid and less time? I usually cook chuck for 40 min-1hr.
