    I just realized what a clever parallel the thumbnail is; Gates with 5.25" floppy drives, you with stitch transfer tools, and both devices largely obsolete.

    Just perfect, thank you. I have a knitmaster bulky 155 and an LK150, both of which I've used quite a bit. I also own a knitmaster 700 and ribber. I've had them all for a good 20 or more years. I've just attached the ribber bed to my standard gauge knitmaster 700, both of which I've spent some time cleaning and servicing.. I've never used the ribber and only just started getting to grips with the main bed. The standard gauge, for some reason, fills me with dread and the ribber terrifies me. But I'm getting on now and feel it's time I gritted my teeth and made the most of them, particularly as I've just bought a whole load of 2/3ply cashmere.
    I did a search for cut and sew machine knitting to avoid shaping and came across your video. As I said, perfect, because you made it look easy to knit a whole jumper with the ribber, something I thought would be uber difficult and doubt I would ever have attempted. You made it look quite easy. I really must give it a go.

    Love cut and sew, I use it on patterned garments as it is easier the cranking back the card and getting mis patterning and of course on English rib and racked designs, this method is way much easier for me. Thank you for your great videos 👌

    Im totally new to machine knitting but your perfect explanation gives me the confidence that I could manage to make such a sweater, too (if I indeed manage it, is a different question 😅😅) So, thank you & keep up the good work! ❤

    I love how you always seem so calm and collected working on your projects.. I only started doing machine knitting for a few months and made loads of mistakes and it drove me bunkers... that ever happened to you? :)

    I absolutely love your channel. I made this sweater (sort of) and it worked. Have you considered having a Ravelry account? I would really like to see other sweaters made from your patterns.

      I have been thinking about getting one. Are they easy to use?

    • @jabbaa6500
      @jabbaa6500 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KnitFactoryImpl Yes they are easy to use, very little learning curve.There are neckline templates over at Knit It Now for cut and sews. Easy enough to shape the neckline on the machine if one wishes. Great job! I've been a knitting machine teacher and doing so for years. Your vids are clear and simple for the novice to follow along. When you can (LOL) do a video for a top down raglan with pattern generator, they are so easy and fast to make.

    Newbie to using a pattern generator: how do you know how much ease to add? And for the body stiches do you do a swatch in rib?

    Do you prefer seaming by hand versus on the machine? There is a more efficient (read: lazier) way to cast off seams as well.

    Thank you very much for providing the patterns on your website. I think that in the current Drop shoulder cut and sew neckline sweater pattern a RC000 is missing in the Sleeve calculation after transfer all stitches to the main bed or the final RC should be increased by the number of ribbing rows. The body RC is ok. Can you please check this. Thank you very much.

    Great job on this one too! I've been wondering about cut and sew necklines as I will be working on dbj patterns soon. I wasn't sure how exactly you'd get rid of the cut edge. But now I see I'll need a surger. Do you know what model you use and does the knit material ever get stuck? Anyways the sweater looks great and the material looks soft. Definitely got a new subscriber and inspired me to start my own channel!

    I tried sewing some open weave for the first time the other day and my sewing machine ate it, sucked it into the bobbin. I also tried with paper under it… So now I’m here

    Do you ever do knitting patterns from the 40's? Im working on the Lavenda rainbow jumper and i wonder if you could slip stitches time effectively

      That's interesting. It's this one right? www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rainbow-jumper-4
      It looks like they're slipping 2 stitches. I don't think you could do exactly this on the machine but you could get something close.
