    Hello, I'm a beginner in Blender. I made a mistake when I tried to transform the cube. I selected the Front view and noticed that it didn't have the division that I expected. I mean, at around 0:14 seconds into the video, many squares appeared - I think this might be a different type of view or something like that. On the other hand, I took my second step with scaling, but when I tried to select the cube, I didn't fully select it and ended up not having the whole octagon. It''s strange because I pressed 'C' like you showed, and I selected the vertices just like you demonstrated, but it still didn't work.

    • @RohrbachJewelryDesign
      @RohrbachJewelryDesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In edit mode select a vertex and input the tilt in the N tab... To see the tilt you must be beveling some curve from geometry in curve properties and don't use a circle 😄 circles don't tilt

    There's a built-in blender Addon that has procedural diamonds for use by just shift-A & select... I think extra object addon..

    • @RohrbachJewelryDesign
      @RohrbachJewelryDesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even though what you mention is correct, the diamonds you'll find there are incorrectly faceted, for jewelers like us, that's a big deal. So like many times, when you think you are bringing a solutions, you are just rapidly creating a problem. Oh and also, while making that mistake, you are taking away all the fun! ( and learning! )

      @@embiidobi7287 thank you. Jewelry is hard because it's about very small things that seem to amount to nothing, but in the end adds to the entire jewel. And it's hard to explain these small things in cool or interesting ways 👍🏼 great that you can look into diamond cutting and faceting, it's very pretty
