Russia didn’t say they would capture Ukraine in a few days or months, that was western propaganda. Russia didn’t say they wanted to capture the whole of Ukraine, they went in with only 190,000 to face 600,000 Ukrainian troops, so it would be impossible. I am Ukrainian-American that has experienced some loss in this senseless war. I don’t mean to sound unappreciative, but if America (and Germany) had provided the right weaponry, in the right quantities, and IN A MORE EXPEDITIOUS MANNER, Ukraine would be in a much different situation today. But that opportunity has passed and we are now at a point where the best Ukraine can hope for is to defend what they have left. That is unless America and the EU makes a 90-degree pivot and decides to go all-in with weaponry. But some are afraid it will anger Putin??? Ukraine “winning” this war and Putin NOT becoming angry are two very mutually exclusive outcomes - you can’t achieve the first without infuriating the latter.

I gave Ukraine 2 weeks to hold on to Kyiv, and one month to stay alive. If Ukraine could pass these milestones, I figured, then Ukraine's survival was guaranteed. As long as Ukraine can keep the northwestern Lviv corridor open and NATO can keep pumping supplies, and any technical staff Kyiv needs, then, Ukrainian independence - far more important than reclaiming the nation - is assured. Even if Russia can take over the east and south, if Ukraine has independence and control over the Black Sea, Kyiv will have won a strategic victory.
Nance is entertaining as hell. Cheerleaders like him are necessary at times like this. He may overreach at times, but all of that is understandable during wartime. This gas station vodka story is great. I think it’s important to make fun of the enemy. Russians, in general, don’t have much of a sense of humor and in the end I think that will cost them. i second this , and i'm a yank myself! We are effing up, putting one or 1.5 hands of each Ukrainian behind their backs. In vietnam, in some ways it can be said we sometimes had a hand tied behind our backs, but that idea is also overexaggerated usually in anaylsis of the Vietnam war, which WAS a catastrophe in so many ways, AND all of us know that some allied troops and some americans committed war crimes that were never accounted for. The vietnamese have every right to resent the living fk out of us, and ppl not low in the comm party there made me feel it when i was visiting the country in the late '90's, and was briefly hosted for a day by a professor and medical doctor there. Saigon really woke me up in a way that Cambodia didn't even, though it did too of course, e.g. their beautiful memorial which is a pagoda with glass walls and skulls of the genocide neatly stacked inside in the thousands. Cambodia is a place any american or ozzie or canuck should go if possible So gorgeous too and the ppl are really wonderful, dramatically differnt from neighboring countries' ppl. Anyway, i want those under 40 today to realize that over the next 15 years there may be serious political issues in the west, and serious war in various spots & those could be major wars. There's only two ways to deal with that, one domestic, one foreign ,and the foreign one is both diplomatic and /but mostly military prepardeness, and that means we need to get cooking. U.S. military already is doing the work to prepare, and it takes time! We need to step on the gas! (petrol)

i second this , and i'm a yank myself! We are effing up, putting one or 1.5 hands of each Ukrainian behind their backs. In vietnam, in some ways it can be said we sometimes had a hand tied behind our backs, but that idea is also overexaggerated usually in anaylsis of the Vietnam war, which WAS a catastrophe in so many ways, AND all of us know that some allied troops and some americans committed war crimes that were never accounted for. The vietnamese have every right to resent the living fk out of us, and ppl not low in the comm party there made me feel it when i was visiting the country in the late '90's, and was briefly hosted for a day by a professor and medical doctor there. Saigon really woke me up in a way that Cambodia didn't even, though it did too of course, e.g. their beautiful memorial which is a pagoda with glass walls and skulls of the genocide neatly stacked inside in the thousands. Cambodia is a place any american or ozzie or canuck should go if possible So gorgeous too and the ppl are really wonderful, dramatically differnt from neighboring countries' ppl. Anyway, i want those under 40 today to realize that over the next 15 years there may be serious political issues in the west, and serious war in various spots & those could be major wars. There's only two ways to deal with that, one domestic, one foreign ,and the foreign one is both diplomatic and /but mostly military prepardeness, and that means we need to get cooking. U.S. military already is doing the work to prepare, and it takes time! We need to step on the gas! (petrol)

The aid comes from the government, the volunteer support from the citizens. A particular citizen has only a limited impact on their government's actions, but is control of what their personally do. Bravo to Malcolm who made his citizen choice.
But doesn’t it look like absolute weakness of American democracy system??? To shut down military help for fighting country in the middle of war???😮😮😮. I’m sorry, but USA was the country, which signed Budapest memorandum with Ukraine, promised security, instead Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons. Who will trust such a USA friendship after such betrayal 😢😢😢????
