- hello beautiful friends and welcome to the awaited star sweater tutorial! i used mainly red heart yarn for this project (hobby lobby yarn was the cream), but i couldn't really calculate how much exactly because i use whatever i have left in my stash. next project i will calculate for you guys better, i hear you in the comments!! :)

Also depends on how loose you crochet or what yarn you use ! for my first one ( made with a 4 mm hook) i used 70 chains and my newest one (with a 6 mm hook) I used "only" 55 chains :)
starting today!! currently 8:50 pm the 18th of november 2023 and since im a very stubborn little twelve year old ( 12 years and five months , mind) , im pretty sure i wont be able to finish this before the new year , ill keep you guys updated , wish me luckkkk (btw this is just for fun , SO HAVE SOME PATIENTICE PEOPLEE)

@@noor-sp4es hey😭 i’m not really sure what to answer as i’m a beginner but i can roughly tell you, for the main base color/ stripes, i used like 1-1.5 ball of yarn of 100gm , and for other two colors i roughly used 1 yarn ball of 100gm each, hope this helps 😅🙏

Did you add an extra chain on your foundation chain? It looks like you put your first stitch in the second chain from your hook so I am not sure how you still have the same amount of stitches. Thank you

@@AncelAlberto Steam blocking is always optional but it definitely makes for a less stiff sweater, if you don't wanna steam block there are other alternatives!

Love it making mine in primary colors so main color is red for panels, star is yellow, and red, yellow and blue for sleeves (just some color inspo 4 U lol)

Okay guys, I did it and it is one of the cutest sweater I've ever crocheted !!! ❤️❤️❤️
I made it using white and two different shades of pink.
For anyone wondering I used about 270g of yarns for my two panels and sleeves and 80g for my two other colours.
BTW, I did 31 rows for my panels and 12 rows of each colours for my sleeves.

You’ll need two skeins of the dark brown or whatever color you’ll do as the main color. I found this out the hard way lol

I’m making this right now, just starting on the sleeves. I changed up the pattern a little bit and decided to make the main front panels striped, and the bottom hem of the sweater is kinda lettuce-hemed

immm not the person who made this, but since its been 3 days 😭, i would chain from one shoulder to the other to measure!! and arm length, you just keep going until satisfaction (try it on as you crochet)

I just made it!! It’s so pretty tho the star is kinda wonky loll, for the main color i needed 2 skeins and since i only used two colors, the second color i only needed 1 skein
and it took me 11 days to finish

hi, i’m making this sweater right now too haha! just make more rows onto your front and back panels :) she did 24 rows but you can make more than that if u want to achieve the look you want

If u don’t have a 5.75 mm hook I think it’s best if u use the 5.5 hook if u want✨🌸@@ayeshaarshad2763
neither do i, but i’m using a 6mm hook because i want a mesh type look almost, but 5m or 5.5 can work, just the stitches may be tighter :) hope that helps!

i dont know if i really like having the star kind of "popping out" of it because it's stitched on, so do you think using a pixel grid and directly crocheting a star with a different colour is a good idea?
Not her but I also crochet and I'd say you can defo crochet the star with a graph but make sure it doesn't look a little odd bc you'll be doing double crochets so it might be hard to make the star shape and might end up bigger but you can always not cut the yarn strands and frog whatever you don't like

I’m curious why you sewed on the sleeves instead of doing slip-stitches. Is it less bulky?
i just copied what i did exactly in the first black and white sweater that i made, basically just to try out both methods and it worked great either way, so you could totally sew the top instead of doing slip stitches!! i just followed the notes i made for the other sweater. neither method is that bulky so i use both a lot 🫶🏼

depends on the yarn you use
if you weave in the ends/attach the pieces correctly and securely aslong as the yarn says its machine washable and dryable it should be ok
