    Looks like the piston over extended into the head, excess play in connecting rod bearing or wrist pin.

    The 4.6 or 281 Ford motor is not a hotrod motor from the factory,with only 231 hp in average,it a good motor that holds up with very little maintaince, my has 241000 on it,it burns clean,and after looking inside the cylinders with my scope,the top of the pistons were clean,very little carbon,used no oil,and no leaks.

      hmm thats weird for not being a hotrod motor it seem to have came in a muscle car, not only that the block is almost identical to the 4v that came in the mach one and cobra, and shares the same architecture as the newer coyote. I beat the piss out of it Im not too upset it was a matter of time! glad to hear yours is still running well.

      I remember replacing mine. I’m like all the bolts are out this thing should just fall off. 4lb sledge didn’t do anything then I figured out it slides in and out 🤦‍♂️ really shocked nothing broke.

    100% dropped something down the spark plug hole. These engines are indestructible

    If I remember correctly the typhoon intakes made less power than the oem P.i intake

      thats a real possibility but i bought it mainly because the all aluminum design stops from having the plastic intake breaking issues

      @@skid_valve I got one for the same reason back around 2015 or 16. Now they're almost impossible to find for less than an arm and a leg.

    That kinda damage is normally and usually from detonation

    • @skid_valve
      @skid_valve  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yeah detonation is defiantly a possibility

    You were running lean. Your tuning. Intake leak maybe.
    Looks like it gave it ring wash too. Why the top of your pistons had a little section that had no carbon build up on them right at the walls.
    And you had a good amount of fun with it.🤣

    • @skid_valve
      @skid_valve  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Id agree but its like the ring was crushed, afrs were fine there was no weird break up or anything my only conclusion is something fell in but idk
