Disclaimer I am in no way affiliated or sponsored by harbor freight, they did not do anything to get me to review this tool its purely of my own accord all views are my own.
Recently decided to up my game doing piping and pickup this bench top band saw stand, that makes it usable like a chop saw and vertical band saw. I have to say this is one of my new favorites so sit back as I explain why.

One of the sorry-ist video recordings I have ever seen in this genre. Two thumbs down!
Mine still in the box 😅
This is so cringe. Can you moan more? 🫦
look at those cars sitting level as hell in 90 degree turns try that after you leave the club running from cops . this is turn car engineering i would put my mom in that car . mom gas on the right brake in the middle us go to walmart.
like dale said rubbing is racing or leave it on the trailer for a show queen
love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you sold that intake manifold yet? Id be interested in it.
I sold it a while ago sorry
So you not doing what you were suppose to is his mistake?
Previous owners mistake was not protecting the circuit from this very thing with a fuse I just knocked the leads over while I was working with the brake switch
detonation
Just had this happen to me. Glad you’re making videos teaching me how to potentially fix my 01. That tick turned into a bad low end knock so it probably slipped timing. Looking at a aluminum block online to swap in with new rods and pistons. Keep posting and I’ll build mine right behind your journey.
😂...hell yea we do...
You didnt wanna have derek do it for ya lol jk inside jk lol
This install is pre-fpdm?
Correct
Nice video. I'm welding my diff this weekend so this is perfect
just weld the two side gears to the carrier and not over the teeth.
@@AA-tb4ffwhy it’s not gonna hurt it and will help spread the load out
If you do that and the weld brakes, the gears will just free wheel and spin like it’s an open diff again. It can also be re-welded if the way you’ve done it breaks the whole carriers toast that’s why you don’t weld over the teeth.
@@AA-tb4ff if your weld breaks 1. It wasn’t hot enough and you didn’t get enough penetration 2. You didn’t weld it thoroughly enough to distribute the load 3. You didn’t do a good enough job. Once you weld a diff it’s not gonna be reverted back to stock that is permanent, and if anything breaks it’s gonna be the ring and pinion at which that point it’s still gonna free wheel. But if whatever you did is strong enough to break the ring and pinion then you have other bigger issues
@@skid_valve If you weld the two side gears to the carrier with out welding over the teeth and the weld breaks it will just crack down the weld letting the gears spin and yes revert right back to a working open differential. But if it’s welded good it won’t break, you ll break axle shafts before the weld breaks. Also the amount of heat you put into those gears and carrier weakens them
3.46 ratio on the BMW diff
You were running lean. Your tuning. Intake leak maybe. Looks like it gave it ring wash too. Why the top of your pistons had a little section that had no carbon build up on them right at the walls. And you had a good amount of fun with it.🤣
Id agree but its like the ring was crushed, afrs were fine there was no weird break up or anything my only conclusion is something fell in but idk
100% dropped something down the spark plug hole. These engines are indestructible
Its the only thing i can think happened just weird it didn't mark up the cylinder more
For anyone doing this the Ford manual states DO NOT use a impact gun to tighten the pinion bolt.
states it but yet my rear is together just fine, the rotational resistance is well within spec. I find it almost impossible to get the washer to crush with just torque wrench. ps ive done like 3 other diffs since this the same way and they all are still going strong!
Know how to wire it on a 96 gt? I don’t have the fpdm there
unfortunately I don't
Nice job. Just remember no compression will spin also lol
oh yeah no compression would but the likely hood of that is extremely know and you'd easily know if you had the plugs in and it still spun easy
FINALLY TIME!
stoked to find other drift stang youtubers. I just picked up an s197 and a whole ton of parts for it to hopefully build a wicked seat time car. Nice vid man
You’re welds are ass
post up any tips and tricks yall have!
Id rather be a skid valve than a skid marcus😂😂😂
Did you get your block back from the machine shop?
never took it there
Good evening. I’m in the process of completing my LS bench harness but I’m confused and need your help. I’m going by your instructions step by step and up to the point where you give the instructions of connecting a wire from the last prong on the switched switch to the blue connector (ignition) and another wire to the 12 volt ignition wire on the OBD port. There’s only 4 wires used on the OBD port...2 ground, 1 data wire and 1 constant. My question is where is the wire for the 12 volt ignition on the OBD...that’s the only part I’m stuck on. Thank you very much for your help.
iirc its pin one on the ob2 connector that is ignition power
Is that the Triton engine found in some Econoline vans?
nope 4.6 2v that was put in crown vics and mustang gt's
F150 to
You definitely need more credit for how much you know about these 8.8 and all the little tips I really do appreciate it. You’re a smart young man.
yeah I unfortunately went through a few issues and now rebuild them on the regular for friends. I learn a little more every time.
I have a older non pi engine that just recently has a spun bearing
Nice wheel with a really stupid graphic on it.
Um merica says otherwise
good thing its on my car not yours lol
Hell yea as a sn95 owner I’m glad I was your 500 subscriber I recently crashed mines and have new plans hope on learning and following with yours along as well
right on hope its going well and thanks for the sub im gonna start regularly posting here soon
My guess excessive rpm Piston kissed bottom of the head and kablooey
Timing thrown off these are interfaces engines
its on stock limiter so idk what could have happened other then something falling in
That water pump is no joke!
I remember replacing mine. I’m like all the bolts are out this thing should just fall off. 4lb sledge didn’t do anything then I figured out it slides in and out 🤦♂️ really shocked nothing broke.
If I remember correctly the typhoon intakes made less power than the oem P.i intake
thats a real possibility but i bought it mainly because the all aluminum design stops from having the plastic intake breaking issues
@@skid_valve I got one for the same reason back around 2015 or 16. Now they're almost impossible to find for less than an arm and a leg.
Super proud of you my boy! Great job!
Greqt job my dude, you should be proud. 95% of ppl would of walked away when that rain came.you kept all your fingers and toes at the end of the day too so that’s definitely a plus
Still confused about the switch. witch wire is the switch wire on the obd port according to you diagram theres two but theres only one
That kinda damage is normally and usually from detonation
yeah detonation is defiantly a possibility
@@skid_valvetest the fuel injectors, one might be failing or gummed up
Cars coming along cant wait to see ya back out there !!!!
Same this footage is actually old I’ve got drastically more done
Sucks the dry ice didn’t do it. Looking good though!!
Yeah it’s weird I think the sound deading ford used is different then what most manufacturers use that the dry ice works on
We get the forklift operator (if the vehicle wasn't quite right) to lift it so we can put two wheels horizontally far enough back that we can cut the frame (Diablo Auto Dismantling blades are outstanding) and the torsion bars sag holding it in space. We usually put three or four wheels as far back as possible inside Suburbans etc as a counterweight to keep them from tipping forward (which no longer matters after pulling the engine). We use plastic flywheel locking tools to prevent engine rotating when removing flex plate bolts since unlike metal tools they do not need to be bolted in place which wastes time. We always get the harnesses and ECU. I save blue connectors to make bench flashing harnesses (super easy) then use OBDX adapters and LSDroid or other soft to reflash the ECU.
I know it's been a couple months sense this video was uploaded, but I installed my caster bolts differently.
Really, how so? I was following full tilt boogies guide.
Dude I just go water like you Did you have any issues? Really wasn't as much though lol
No, didn't have any issues
Ive pulled trans and a few rear axles--pure back breakers. An engine im sure is a bit more work love the clip. Good work!!
How much did u pay for it
The fact that it was all in tact and not wrecked would have scared me. Thinking that it was probably a motor issue as to why it was in the salvage yard
had some pretty sever rear end damage, but like I said if it spins it wins everything else can be fixed with a bit of work
Could also just be a bad trans
Great video glad the car is coming along !!!!
Thanks 👍
I have a 03 Cobra that I just bought a Lethal Performance BAP for my car. Do you know if there are any differences between these two BAP's or any differences between installing a BAP on a 2v vs a 03 Cobra?
functionally the install should be the same install and all but I cant guarantee anything
@@skid_valve The FPDM's should be the same and I do believe the VMP and Lethal units are basically identical, so I assume it'll be the same. Thanks for the video, very informative.
