    Wait,what?! I should've picked up spare blower belts when I bought my kit.$250 is insane!

    Watch that belt tension close when you warm it up. It will get way tighter than you think. When it is cold you need to have slack. Some people spit their balancers off the front of the crank because they set the belt cold and don't check it hot. That slack you just showed is what you want when it's hot. I got lucky when I set mine up that I kept checking it.

      Had a customer at a shop I worked at years ago who insisted on running his belt way too tight to get that whine. He broke two forged crank shaft snouts clean off then wanted a SBC crank with a BBC snout ffs. He would not believe us that the belt could break the crank. Don’t use a cast balancer either. I personally prefer no balancer and use a drive hub only.

      @@FlatBroke612 You're right. The way I set mine is with about an inch of slack when it's hot. There is no need to have it so tight you can play a tune on it. It's a cog belt not a v belt.
