  • This is Why The NEW 2024 Subaru Forester is A Game Changer!!
Brace yourself for a seismic shift in the crossover SUV landscape with the 2024 Subaru Forester. With its unstoppable all-wheel drive, game-changing safety features, and tech-savvy upgrades, it's time to embark on a thrilling new chapter of automotive excellence.
    Mild-mannered, with a possible twist …
Under the hood, you'll find a 2.5-liter flat-four-cylinder engine churning out 182 horsepower. Now, that's not exactly going to set your hair on fire, but it's enough to get the job done. And with a towing capacity of 1500 pounds, it's not afraid to get its hands dirty either.
The power is channeled through a continuously variable automatic transmission, or CVT for short, and delivered to Subaru's legendary all-wheel-drive system. It's a combination that ensures you'll have plenty of traction in all sorts of conditions.
It's not going to set any speed records, but hey, it's not trying to be a sports car. It's aimed at meeting the needs of everyday buyers who value practicality and versatility.
It's an SUV that focuses on delivering a competent driving experience. The handling is solid, providing you with confidence on the road. The ride is compliant and refined, ensuring you'll be comfortable on those long journeys. The steering is accurate, giving you a sense of control, and the brakes are up to the task of emergency stops.
So, while the Forester may not be the most exciting thing to drive, it's a practical choice that ticks the boxes for reliability, versatility, and all-weather capability.
That said, while in the good ol' US of A, the Forester is equipped with a 2.5-liter flat-four engine that can muster up a rather modest 182 horses, in other countries, they get a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that's capable of pumping out a much more respectable 250 horsepower. It's like trading in your lethargic house cat for a fierce jungle predator.
Let's take a moment to mourn the loss of the Subaru WRX STI. It was destined for greatness, but its life span was shorter than a mayfly on a caffeine rush. But here's the twist. The turbocharged 2.5-liter engine from the WRX STI could potentially find its way into the new Forester. Imagine that! Injecting an extra 25 horses into its veins, bringing the total power output to a juicy 275. It's like transforming your mild-mannered librarian into a bodybuilder jacked up on protein shakes and testosterone!
And let me tell you, those extra horses would certainly make a compelling case for ditching the current 2.0-liter turbocharged engine used in the overseas models. The Forester would have the punch to match its rugged appearance, ready to pounce on the open road like a tiger on the prowl.
If Subaru decides to unleash that turbocharged beast into the Forester, we'll witness a transformation worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster.
    That legendary AWD…
Let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we? Back in the good old days, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and people made questionable fashion choices, Subaru gave you the option to choose between front-wheel drive or the mighty four-wheel drive.
Subaru decided to simplify things for the modern era. They've created a system that's always in four-wheel drive, or as they like to call it, all-wheel drive. It's like having a personal army of traction at your command, ready to conquer any road surface.
This all-wheel-drive system isn't your ordinary run-of-the-mill four-wheel drive. No, it's been sprinkled with a touch of wizardry and advanced technology. You see, today's Subaru’s have the ability to send torque to the wheels that need it most, like a magician conjuring rabbits out of a hat. When a tire slips on ice, these clever sensors detect the mischief and swiftly transfer more torque to that wheel, giving it the power to grip the road like an Olympic gymnast on a balance beam.
The interior is something to behold - and experience!
The cabin of the Forester is a place of simplicity and functionality, devoid of unnecessary frills. The driving position is spot-on, providing a commanding view of the world around you. It's like sitting in a director's chair, overseeing the grand spectacle of the open road.
Inside, luxury touches abound. Caramel-colored leather adorns the seats, door panels, and dash, giving an air of sophistication. The textured plastic trim that embraces the rest of the cabin exudes a sense of high quality. And let's not forget the gloss-black plastic on the center stack and the chromed and matte-metallic plastic trims. They spruce things up like a well-dressed gentleman at a fancy party.

Collected my first Forester 2 weeks ago. Unlike previous SUVs, this thing feels like a working vehicle and not just a small car on stilts. It's almost truck like in its solid planted on the road feel and yet is quite comfortable even for that. You wouldn't call it a farm vehicle but it offers the robustness to do a bit of work if required, and still retains enough plushness for everyday driving comfort. I think I'm going to enjoy the thing a great deal.

I am a Forester owner since 2011, and now still driving my 2018 forester (2.5i, unfortunately). If Subaru doesn't bring back XT on forester, I will probably give up forester and have a look at Cayenne.

Clickbait. All vehicles shown in this video are 2023, not 2024 as stated in the Title and by the narrator.
