The Canadian Limited comes with pretty much the same features of this US model but we also get Rear Heated Seats (2 settings), power passenger seat plus facial recognition for seat and driver attention. It is one down from our Premier (US=Touring). I have one and I thought Subaru couldn't do any better then my 2011 Forester, I was wrong this generation of Forester and the Limited in particular is outstanding.
I love Subaru Forester. I drove my aunts 2020 forester premium and its amazing! Doesnt have a sunroof tho but man the overall driving experience and ride quality is top notch. The interior is very airy and heck of a lot more space than a CX-5.
Just picked up a 2024 Subaru Forester Sport earlier in the week. Traded in my Civic Sport Touring 6MT for it. Dealerships in my area are offering up to $4k off MSRP.
Dang, what a great deal! I hope you enjoy it.
On the outback, they're going as far as $4,500 or 1.9% financing. Oh, I am in Massachusetts.
@@m3rdpwrwill they not offer 1.9% financing if you negotiate below MSRP?
@@joannecarrillo8441 We did our own financing, not the dealer. We bought a 2023 with low miles, for $10,000 less than the same optioned 2024. I pick it up tomorrow.
great review.very informative, no fluff. thank you !!
Of course! I’m glad you liked it, and thanks for watching! This is the general style of all my more formal review videos.

Thanks for your review.. I have a 2023 forester (same color, ja) and is a beauty, so happy with it ! Off road is fantastic. Subaru=quality.
That’s awesome! I’m glad you’re enjoying it, and thanks for watching!
Great review! My sister-in-law recently leased a 2024 Forester Limited in Magnetite Gray and she loves it!!
Thank you, and I’m glad she’s enjoying hers! 🙂
The AWD system is better than all other AWD systems, economy SUV or otherwise.
i’ve been doing research for 2+ months on this car. we just put a down payment yesterday for a 24 forester limited. should have it by 5/7-8. your video was pretty informative. got myself familiar with the car before even going for a test drive. originally was looking at the forester wilderness in blue, but the gas mikeage was a killer for us. looking forward to be driving around in the limited. thanks for the video.
That’s very exciting! Thanks for watching. 🙂
Did you see (during your research) all the issues with the windshields on these, also the Outbacks? So many cracked windshield that there is a class action lawsuit (recently settled). This has been going on for years, why can't Subaru use better glass for cryin out loud?
Nice vehicle. Very safe; I know someone who was hit and totalled and walked away. My son in law has an older one and loves it; he wants to upgrade and update to the Wilderness model.
I’m so glad to hear that! They definitely seem to hold up well in accidents!
I have a 2023 Forester Limited and love it so far. Not as many options as the one you’re reviewing (no heated steering wheel, no navigation system, just to name a couple, but not deal breakers for me). Don’t really need the heated steering wheel and for navigation I just use google maps and connect to Apple CarPlay.
I mentioned this in your 2023 Forester Limited review but I was in an accident about 5 months ago. I was driving a 2016 Subaru Impreza at the time and walked away without major injuries, but the car was totaled. I test drove the Crosstrek and the Forester and felt the outward visibility was better in the Forester. I would have preferred the Premium trim but they didn’t have any on the lot with options I wanted, so went with the Limited that they had on the lot.
I’m glad you’re still enjoying it! I think you made a good call and those extra features are only further luxuries that it really doesn’t need.
👍🏻👍🏻 I see some deals for the Forester at our local dealer. I think sales may be sluggish as people may be holding off for the 2025 redesign. We do love the latest, greatest.
I love saving money and would grab a 24 if the price is right.
I’m assuming the new generation with start making it to dealers by June as Subaru often seems to release new generations of their cars in early summer. But I guess we’ll see, hopefully these Forester deals keep getting better until then. 🙂
Absolutely love our 24 sport but will probably trade up to the wilderness before the 24 models are gone. Want a wilderness but want to keep physical buttons myself
It’s a shame auto makers think infotainment screen controlled HVAC buttons are what the majority want. 🤦♂️😅
Thank you for your review. I need towing capacity for jet ski’s, a smaller pontoon boat and a 6x10 landscape trailer so 1500# will not do it. Maybe the wilderness forester or an outback onyx? Little scared with the leather, lots of people complain of tears, cracks.
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching. I’ve personally not heard any issues with the leather. I would think the bigger concern is if the Subaru CVT would enjoy frequent towing. The Wilderness models at least come with tranny coolers. Best of luck in whatever you decide!
I’m seem to debating about Mazda or Subaru. I guess about CVT as you mentioned and also long-term if I decide to keep it I’m just a little confused right now which to get I was looking into the Mazda, CX 50 or CX 70 and on Subaru The outback wilderness What is your opinion about these two vehicles? Thanks also great video.
If you’re planning to keep it beyond the powertrain warranty and not getting an extension I would definitely test drive and consider the Mazdas. I haven’t researched the brand new 70 yet because I don’t have one to video, but hopefully in a few weeks. The CX-50 is cool and looks good, but I honestly like the CX-5 more. And Mazdas AWD seems close to as good as Subarus in mild snow as I found out in my winter testing videos. Tires also matter a lot and I still have like 5 of those winter driving videos to share. But I’m impressed with both. Mazda definitely has a solid powertrain though!
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 appreciate your honesty and advice. 💪🏼💪🏼👍🏻👍🏻
I own two (2) Forester TURBO models and love them. The Foresters without the TURBO are in desperate need of power.
I bet those are fun! Thanks for watching. 🙂
Please do review of 2024 Subaru Impreza
I’ve actually done reviews of all the 2024 Impreza trim levels. But they were earlier summer before I figured out some better editing. 🤷♂️😅
Wish they had a black seat option for the Crimson Limited.
That would be cool!
The star constellation depicted in the logo, is the Subaru.
Nice! Thanks for sharing.
Actually the emblem prominently incorporates an illustration of the Pleiades star constellation.
Ack-shully the logo depicts the Pleiades star cluster, located in the Taurus constellation.
You are correct, the most negative feature about the Forester is its one-engine offering... the standard engine is far too anemic for my tastes... other than that the car would be perfect for me in every way... I understand they will offer a hybrid in the 2025 model... hopefully, it will have more hp and torque... Subaru also needs to reintroduce the turbo as an option, as they previously did, and then discontinued it... excellent review.
Absolutely! Thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. 🙂
If you have Turbo, the car will spend more gasoline which is not good
@@vinhdao7582 Then if having a turbo is bad because it uses more gas then Subaru should stop making them completely but, they still make them for their Outback plus, they make a naturally aspirated Boxer engine that puts out 228 hp in the BRZ that could be put into the Forester. People who have turbocharged engines are not revving their engines all the time. They mostly use the turbos when it is necessary and prudent for the moment. Mazda offers turbos on almost every model. Subaru used to offer turbos on the Forester and for some unknown reason stopped offering them. Moreover, why haven't they offered a hybrid if they are so concerned about you saving gas? They could get more hp and torque with the hybrid and not lose fuel economy. In fact, they could gain fuel economy while also gaining hp and torque.
I watched another YT channel where the guy did a comparison between the 24 & the 25 and one of the things that popped up was the 2025 required premium fuel. Can anyone confirm that?
That’s strange, especially since even the turbo Subarus are tuned for 87. 🧐 I haven’t looked into this or heard about it yet.
What is your thought about the comfort of the seats on the forester limited? We found that the cloth seats were a lot more comfortable. We also drove the Outback and their seats seemed more comfortable, with cloth beating leather, but both beating the leather seats of the Forester. Thoughts? We drive several hours on various trips so comfort on long rides is important.
I’ve only owned cloth and startex seats in my own Subarus, which is do think are very comfortable for my build. But when I’ve driven many models with leather seats for shorter durations I’ve never felt they were any less comfortable. Seat comfort is kind of subjective, best of luck in whatever you decide! 🙂
Love it in Crimson Red
It’s a fantastic color in person!
Still can't believe that Subaru doesn't make an XT option like the Outback does. Won't upgrade from my 2018 XT Touring until they do. 🤦♂️🤷♂️🙄
Yeah, it’s a shame!
Agree…. I have the 3.6 Outback and won’t give up the power so still waiting to upgrade
Subaru CHOOSES to not offer a decent transmission/transaxle in a platform that begs for it.
Because of this bias against such a reasonable and understandable need on such a good offroad platform, there is no chance I would even consider buying one.
Is it OK to do oil changes and tire rotation every 5,000 miles instead of every 6 months? I drive 3-5k per year only.
I of course have to recommend whatever the vehicles instruction manual says, which I would assume 6k or 6 months, but changing it more frequently is never a bad thing. The oil breaks down through use but also age so I wouldn’t often push past the recommended intervals, especially while it’s under warranty incase you ever need to prove it’s been Mai trained for a warranty claim. 🙂
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208For me that means doing two oil changes per year. That sounds excessive. I’m having buyers remorse.
Light upgrades are awesome to blind everyone else on the road
