How to fix a Burnt out LED DRL for under $20

- I know this is a common problem on many GM vehicles, but the same concept applies for other manufacturers. I was annoyed when my DRL burnt out and it looked like the car was winking. After researching on forums and seeing everyone's response was to replace the headlight I figured I would look into it more myself. This module is only $15 used on eBay - they are more expensive new (~$40 I think). I bet the people that replaced their headlights knew about this first!
What exactly did you sertch up on eBay to find that part

the inside of my light got water in it. The light intermittently works but as of today is completely off. Do you think it’ll come back on when it dries? What would need to be fixed if not? What part would need to be replaced? Please help

You should put new sealant around your light before replacing the board. Should work fine after.
Did the DRL just go out or the whole headlight bulbs and turn signal. My DRL just went out but the rest work.
What was the exact search on eBay or part number...? For that light board.

Hey ! I have an Audi A4 B8.5 and my drivers side DRL is more yellowish compare to left one which is white. I wonder if your method could fix that ? Like with "Burnt out" did you meant completely not working LED DRL or just yellowish ? Thanks
Did you find a solution? I'm running into the same problem with my B8.5. It was in an accident and was repaired, but the headlight on that side has turned yellowish. A new headlight with AFS can easily runs 1k+ and I'm not ready to dump that much into fixing it yet.
@@arnold17 Hey ;) No I don't think you can fix this issue unless buying a new headlight. Where I live I see many Audi's having his issue. Anyway I recently sold my B8.5 and got mercedes w205 which doesn't have this problems.

Dont you need to change the led strip?
I think I need to do this on my Audi, if I change the control module will it have to be programmed?
I was also thinking to check if it is the problem by taking out the control module on the working side and fitting it on the other side - will that mess up the programming?

Not true all Camaro headlights. Only the cheap headlights have the module underneath.

Hi bro I’ve had something similar happen to my Audi s3 66plate day time running light the lower portion of the day time running light has turned yellowish. I don’t want to spend a 1k just to get a new headlight
Get the modules for the light and change that should be fine after

They go out for a reason. And this fix will hit a lot of garage’s daily pocket change.
What you’re failing to add, is your time taking apart the front of the car just to get through the headlight and then reassembling. That’s worth money as well.
You don't have to dissemble to get to the headlight 😂, talking 2 mins max prep
Look up the video of the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, where the guy has to take the bumper off I don’t have the number of it but he has to take the entire bumper off to get to the headlight. And this was at a dealer.@@MrManiac2591

Are you saying that that is what the part he is describing is? I was told by a reputable independent repair shop that that module controlled the entire headlight on my 2018 Audi Q5. They told me I had to replace the entire headlight which was going to cost me $1500. I’m not sure what to believe.
@MrDutchentre the ballast behind your fog light is the sa the 1 attached to the bottom of your head light,I removed my bumper which was easier than I thought it would be to take the headlight out and sure enough their it was attached at the bottom.( I ordered the part from Amazon for 12.95). My eyebrow is working fine now the old one had corrosion around the plug .
Easy and cheap fix I promise. The dealership quoted me 1500 to fix it.
