  • I decided to get rid of the long giraffe neck handlebar stem that comes on the lectricXP and installed BMX handlebars.

    Great minds think alike, I made the exact same mistake. Loose the shims and the lock tight and get the right size knuckle for the handle bars. By doing so you can easily loosen the 4 Allen screws and still fold down the handle bars if needed. Center the bars, adjust your reach, tighten it all down and ride. May you have many safe miles my brother.✌What, no Ebike emojis😯

      Thank you, and yes I should do so. I ended up raising the bar up a couple inches and moved the bars back a bit to adjust my reach. Now its much better, just cant fold it in. I still like the BMX bars better than the stock bar by far. Ride safe!

    The way a quill stem works is that it is height adjustable, like a seat post. As long as the wedge part is completely inside the head tube you are good. So you could raise that quill stem up at least an inch or two and retighten it. Hope this helps.

    I want to do my st. I'm 63" the handlebars are high for especially going up steep hills where I have to pedal. I always get stuck and almost drop the bike. I could probably pedal out of it with lower handle bar and over all maneuver the bike better. Thanks for the mod now I see it looks good on the st I'm going to do mine👍. You have a new subscriber.

    Hey bro, when you replaced the brakes and used the ones you linked in your dual setup video, which lines did you use? When I click the link it’s only the calipers.

    • @FrankiesWorld

      You use the stock lines. The calipers are hydraulic but they are activated using your stock cable lines.

    Longer stem to fix the bendy knees with BMX handle bars? More upright sitting position.
    Waiting for my new bike to arrive.
    And no one have mounted a bit longer stem with BMX style. Wonder how that could look?

    • @FrankiesWorld
      @FrankiesWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had wondered that myself. Also at the same time thought it may have voided the whole point of making the stem shorter but who knows.

    • @rickardkevaanranta7808
      @rickardkevaanranta7808 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My theory is that you won't need that long giraffe looking stem like the original.
      Because the BMX bars itselfs has some height, maybe 50% height of the giraffe looking set-up??
      Now add a bit longer stem and you will almost have the same height as the original.
      I'm just speculating because I've never seen these bikes live 🤓.

Loving my first ebike and now my wife and son want one. Working on figuring out what I'll get them. I have a mid drive bufang 750w and I'm thinking front hub motor for my wife and 12 yr old son's bikes, just to save some money.

      @prodesign8189 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FrankiesWorld I love it, but I wish I hadn't bought the rear rack/battery setup, especially with a light framed MTB. Makes the rear so heavy that getting on the bike the front wheel wants to heave when tipping the bike. Going to replace with a mid frame mount battery. The 750 provides plenty of help getting around hills here in western NY and I'm very pleased with it. Now my wife and I have been watching bike packing vids the last few days. At 52 yrs old, we are ready to do some exploring with our son this summer.

      @@prodesign8189 I feel the same away about having my second battery and controller mounted on the rear rack. I’ve been thinking of other ways to mount it. If I could I would remove the rear rack all together since I don’t really need it for anything besides holding the second battery and controller.
