As always, a great video, Tony! Interested in doing a crabbing video from a boat? I might be heading out for some crabs this week or next. Let me know. My boat, my gas, my treat. In St. Auggie area. It would be fun!
@@CrabbingWithTony - Sounds good. I "think" I know where you've been crabbing. Might be interesting to try some other spots. I can buzz up on the boat to pick you up to make it easier for you.
Every time I watch your videos I find myself thinking about how much I loved living there. I spent a lot of time doing just what you do. Thanks and keep posting.
I been trying to get out there and start crabbing you gotta take me out there im in jax fl also never tried the crabbing just usually fish@CrabbingWithTony
I used to crab in Galveston and Houston with chicken on the string and rod and reel. your videos took me down memory lane and had my mouth watering 😂 keep em coming
Hi Tony! Wowser! What a great day of crabbing. I'm sure it will be a great season for you. Those crabbies will keep on eating and get nice and big and rusty the way you like them. Great fun watching you catch them on a gorgeous blue sky day! Till next time, have a wonderful week.
Subscribed. I grew up crabbing in southern Maryland; with string and a chicken neck. Crabs were more plentiful back then. Could only keep the males. Best crabcake recipe is on the Old Bay Seafood Seasoning can, altho now you have to find it on their website. I live in the panhandle of Florida, around the Destin area now. Like your channel!
In Maryland, they climb sideways out of the metal ring nets before I can even yank the string up 😅. Yours don’t even wanna leave. Lol Do you still use the collapsible box traps too? I may have to try the floaties.
Great video. Love the non-stop action. Cant wait to see that spot later in the season. What do the floats do? I may have to try them. And how do you attach them?
Great video! Would it be a violation if you put all the little ones in a seperate bucket and throw them back when your finished crabbing? I was thinking the same little ones just kept going back to chicken heaven.
@LilTonyDaddy22 nope I have the same set up as u ring nets with cut mullet zip tied to it and it does well but we share one of the same spots together and that the one I'm not gonna give it up but it's goff u kno up the street from where u was today
Always thankful Tony when you let us tag along! Looks like it's going to be a great season of crabbing!
I think so. Thanks!

Awesome day yo!
Thanks!
I love when the crabs are this desperate for food, you can catch a lot really fast. Only thing is they are usually really light.
Correct!
Those crabs are meaty! Now, I want some. 😩 keep up the good work!
Thank you, I will
Hi Tony, you definitely had a lot of action which is what you wanted, a lot were hollow, but overall, I think you had a spectacular day. Take care!!!!
Thanks
I laughed out loud when that one crab threw your zip ties at you...LOL
I know right.

@martieflagg4671 That's what's up! Crabs definitely aren't plentiful like back then. The beautiful Destin area. Cool. Thanks for supporting!
Nice catch!! Omg...soooooo many!! 😊
Thanks!
Nice job! Can't wait till June, going to go crabbing then!
That's perfect timing!
HAvent seen crab on the bite like that in a long while. Nice haul there bud!
Thanks!
Do you eat soft shell crabs? The way you fried the hard crabs is the way we fry our soft crabs in Maryland.❤
No one sells softies here. I would eat them though.
Love your channel I’m in Orlando but born in Melbourne Fl and we went crabbing growing up and still do 😊
Melbourne is a good place for crabbing. I say that about all the coastal cities as I drive down to Miami. So Many creeks and Intracoastal Waterways.
Man a lot of those craps look like they need some milk 😆😆😆😆😆 but all in all it look like a good day 😁👍👍👍✌️
Yep.

@@CrabbingWithTony What is the purpose of the floats?
Can you link which floats to get? I saw weighted ones and non weighted ones and it’s kind of confusing for me. Much appreciated.
Tony you ain’t afraid of no gator 🐊
Definitely gonna keep my distance if I come across one.
Love your videos! Getting ready to buy my first crabbing trap from you description, any spot recommendations in Jacksonville that I can try?
@@melindamyers6311 Jim King Boat Ramp, or behind Browns Creek Fish Camp on Heckscher.
@@CrabbingWithTony thank you!
What do the floaters help do with the trap, keep the triple line up?never tried them, but I might
Yeah sometimes the lines will flip the crabs out. Yep.
When can we expect a Catch Clean and Cook video
Very soon.
🦀😊
Serious question. Why did you throw so many back?
I like the bigger crabs. So I release the smaller ones. Thanks.
@@CrabbingWithTony word. When I catch some smalls, I typically keep them for bait/gumbo
Great video! Would it be a violation if you put all the little ones in a seperate bucket and throw them back when your finished crabbing? I was thinking the same little ones just kept going back to chicken heaven.
Thanks, and good question. I'm sure some do. Not trippin about it. They tend to move with the tide also. Just bring more chicken.
👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks!
U ever thought about crabbing at Nassau sound off there 🌉
I have before, but the current was hell that day. I might try to handling over there 1 day. Have you?
@LilTonyDaddy22 going to two spots tomorrow Mayport area and a Lil road side bridge off girvin
@TankRoss904 yeah I've thought about that girvin spot, but I've never done it. You gonna chicken on a string it?
@LilTonyDaddy22 nope I have the same set up as u ring nets with cut mullet zip tied to it and it does well but we share one of the same spots together and that the one I'm not gonna give it up but it's goff u kno up the street from where u was today
Why do you measure them
I know I don't have to. I like to see the sizes. Plus, I don't keep under 5. I know it's no size limit in Florida, but it's wack to keep lil Crabs.
Doing the right thing to keep the crab population up.... even when there might not be a minimum.... besides... not much meat in the small ones.
Does Nick have a TH-cam channel
@@tivonjones6523 no
Mmm
You should make another channel where you eat them and maybe give a crime story i watch your wife channel
