We all need to start catching, hunting and growing our own food, so we never forget where food comes from, which is the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Great job Jared catching and cooking those Crabs I know Jack had a Ball eating them like always enjoyed the video keep them coming thanks for entertaining us love it 👍🏽💯🔥
Jared all your plates are missing is a simple hollandaise sauce or some sort of gravy…you pattern a signature sauce like that buddy and you’re gonna have people beating down your door for your food. My advice is ask a local chef to guest spot a catch clean and cook to get his experience and friendship to help elevate your cooking. Before too long you’re gonna be a rich TH-cam sensation! Keep it up friend.
A few years back I was down in Perdido and we caught a late season Jimmy run. Big, old Jimmies, mean as Hell and some monsters among them - over 7 1/2 inches and I take them seriously - all on a hand line. And even though they were old and some were yellow-bellies, they had the sweetest backfin I ever tasted and they were loaded with it. We also netted a few swimming doublers. When they separated, I released the sook. Felt bad about breaking up the honeymoon!
The reason it's smokeless is because there is so many ventilation holes, the more ventilation, the more flame, but it will burn wood faster because of the air, the bigger the flame, the less smoke.
This is my childhood here. The only difference is that everything he is keeping we would have tossed back. we would catch a bussell baskett FULL of 8 inch point to point in an afternoon,
I always thought old nasty chicken was the best bait for Blue Crab here in Maryland. I did an experiment with older chicken vs fresh chicken on 1200 ft trotlines placed about 25 ft. apart on several occasions and found that the fresh chicken outperformed the smelly by about 5 to 1.
Bro, I love your vids. I’m from uptown New Orleans, but I’ve spent a lot of time in the parish a few years back with some friends. You might know my guys, Tracy and Darryl, we call Darryl D Money, he’s a DJ and he’s actually from Luling. I’m just getting back into fishing, I love seafood and it’s just relaxing just to get on the water. Keep sharing your stories bro, I’m learning a lot from your vids. Keep teaching those boys how to do it, like seeing the little learning those valuable lessons. ✌️
Nice mess of crabs that you caught. I really like that fire pit I bet a couple of young Nutria would cook great on it. You know us Cajun’s Just Love to eat wildlife keep up with the great videos.👍
Greetings from Vancouver Canada, I love using Chicken but instead of using legs and expensive parts ask the butcher for the scraps left over after cutting the chicken , a lot of butchers sell the scraps for soups in big bags very cheap , they work very well
How many crabs are you allowed to have. I watch your videos all the time here in Pennsylvania. Be safe, God bless to you and your family Ken from Pennsylvania.
One of my favorites with asparagus is take three and wrap them with a thin slice of bacon. When the bacon is cooked so is the asparagus. And on natural wood!
have you tried crab patties with the zattarains crab cake mix? we like to use crappie with the mix here in TX.. You can use any kind of fish, and its a great taste.
My brother.. You speak my language. I'm looking to put together a trip to your neck of the woods for a few a my buds in mid January. What can we look tk get into as far as shrimping, crabbing, fishing and hunting. Probably stay for a week. Any suggestions greatly appreciated
you ever worry about gators while doing this from land with no protection from a boat? and i’d love to get about 3 dozen please. love the content from up here in new jersey!❤
get u 2 baskets put the little ones in one basket, the big in the other, before u leave, put the little ones back, that way you dont keep catching the same small ones,.
Many, many years ago I helped my ex-brother in law run his commercial crab traps and gill net (back when you could legally have them in the Bay). We put quite a few boxes of live crab in his walk-in cooler and kept 10 dozen crabs for ourselves. My ex mother-in-law had an old roller set from an ancient wringer washing machine and we tore the top shell and main claws off the crabs, put them in large wash tubs with ice and water, then waited an hour or so for the crabs to get totally chilled. Then we broke each crab in half and put the legs into the wringer with the top of the crab facing up and ran the crabs through the wringer with less than 1/2" gap between the rollers. When it was all done, we had a total of 10 one-pound butter containers of pure crab meat plus all those big claws to split among the family. It was work, but it was definitely worth it.
I have a friend who lives at Chalmette, Im from where Justin Wilson used to say, way up north Shreveport. We were talking last week about coming down and mabe get to meet and fish with you and mabe the Pelican Bone . I need to no what the salt water will do to our freah water outboards I no yall like the stern drive air cooled moters andf thay do real good, they are just so loud, I no u havw had some esperence with that and i would appreciate ur oppenion or mabe u could reccomend who to talk to, Keep up the good work
One of those females looked like a buster. A little trick my Uncle taught me was put the bait inside a piece of pantyhose. They can't tear the bait up as fast and it makes it a little harder her them to let go. The claws kinda hang up in the hose.
Why does everybody purchase chicken to go crabbing? I can never understand this. Crab will eat almost anything. "Road kill is perfect bait and its free. I trap for a living up here in the Pacific Northwest and I use all of the critters I catch for bait when trapping crab. I hope to visit your area this year. I have got to try some of those ditches.
You should keep your Catch Bag (blue basket with crabs caught) in the water somehow, so it does not tip over and keeps the crabs fresh. Or a cooler with ice or fresh water too.
From the UK. You Americans From down south are great at what you do ❤

Growing up New Orleans ain't nothing better!!! Now I homesick..

Trading old chicken meat for new crab meat, I wish this worked everywhere! Not in Minnesota 😉🤣
The reason it's smokeless is because there is so many ventilation holes, the more ventilation, the more flame, but it will burn wood faster because of the air, the bigger the flame, the less smoke.
That Kinders seasoning is what’s up. Great video, keep up the good work!
Thank you my friend

Yes Yes I tried to tell people this too man I'm on your side that smelly s*** do not work they want that fresh dead chicken
A savory sauce would be awesome with that presentation.
I'm coming to Charlmette this Friday, Nov 10th, would like to do some fishing with you if possible, I'll be there till the 16th 🎣
You’re on Point. I’ve had that meal before. I call it a Slop and Mud 😊. Way better than surf and turf.
My kids would love to do that!! Great video bruh

That Bons fire pit is nice. Looks like you can spin that grate to help with temp management as well. Another great looking meal!
Nice mess of crabs

Good show jared as always 😎
Here in SAwe put the bait in women's stockings nylon or silk is good. The crabs get themselves caught in the stalkings and can't get away.
Great idea catch them all
That’s how I always did it, out in Irish bayou and salt bayou, tight line is the only way but sometimes you gotta watch for the gators.
How many crabs are you allowed to have. I watch your videos all the time here in Pennsylvania. Be safe, God bless to you and your family Ken from Pennsylvania.
We can bag 12 dozen a day per crabber in Louisiana
I think your number of traps is also limited. At some point, you are making commerce and need to up your license
@@eustatic3832 10 trap limit
Awesome have you watched your buddy vinnie missing them squirrels don't hack on him to bad it's the shells
Lol
Growing up in Trinidad in the Caribbean we did the same thing in small rivers - great fun !!
That was a Super nice Pit and Grill!
Did line fishing for crab on my Grampys lobster boat back in the 70's in Portsmouth, NH ..he had 3 boats he built by hand...had only 7 fingers too....
Man that’s awesome memories
One of my favorites with asparagus is take three and wrap them with a thin slice of bacon. When the bacon is cooked so is the asparagus. And on natural wood!
Where is this at in Louisiana, I've been wanting to do this so bad
I use to catch crawfish using that method, ol stick line and chicken. This takes me back
Grew up doing this around Cameron/ Holly Beach / Rutherford. Now live in South Dakota. No seafood here, lol.😢
You was on them Crabs today Boy!!!
Great video my friend. Makes me won’t to go crabbing. So, I will Nov.8th ,6:30 am I will be on my way. Thanks.

Great crab 🦀 video
Great video. Never thought about using crabs as a topping. Looks good
Question- you threw the same bait, same lines attached, but the last one made a very different thumping sound/noise when hitting water. Interesting.
Is it clean and safe to eat stuff close to car roads?. Pollution?
So far so good
The dogs are excited and restless waiting for the cook

Nothing beats meat cooked over coals like that great fire pit great crab
Now I’m hungry again 😂
It's hard to watch the end of the video because it makes me hungry. Subbed after watching the Nutria video.
Thank you so much
My Mom caught a flounder in her crab net one time. It was for supper.
This is strangely mesmerizing.
lol thank you
Used to live on golden isle drive. I crabed with my dad in the fifties at port everglades.
get u 2 baskets put the little ones in one basket, the big in the other, before u leave, put the little ones back, that way you dont keep catching the same small ones,.
Hey man definitely try turkey necks with zip ties definitely catches more than chicken idk if it bc it’s bloodier or something it’s like crab magic
I know right where that’s at. You did pretty good on them crabs with them hand lines
Thanks bro
I just watched this whole video and didn't even realize who i was watching! What's up brah!
Sup man thank you for watching
You need to scoop behind the net to catch them better
How do you test if the water is not contaminated so the crab isn't contaminated with heavy metals or other chemicals?
There are advisories for certain bodies of water, and regular testing
can you seine net them?
Up in Grand lake Oklahoma we don't have crabs or gators-just bass, crappie, and catfish.

Saw you taking care of Yawt Yawt and Red. Rat spaghetti!! What do you do with the rest of those Rats. Looking forward to following your channel.
Thank you so much for taking his recommendation
Yeee, I love grilled food!🔥
So this is salt water, correct?
Brackish
I’d like to know where this ditch at. I never catch over half a dozen when I crab in Nola.
Thank you for the video😊

I would just flush the outboard after every trip. You should be fine. Have fun!
Awesome video!
Nice video, thanks for sharing! Have you ever tried pigs feet for bait? Very tough and oily.
That looks like fun.
Awesome video ❤
Always used chicken necks and backs for crabbing. Pieces with lots of skin seemed to work the best. I'd eat those drumsticks myself...
I really like that fire pit. Needs a lid and I'd buy it
Can you tell us the location of the Ditch?
Curious about the same. Location of this area?
Heh heh
Love that pit!!!!
What’s the dogs names
Retired Chef here, ya dun gud sun, ya dun gud

Mus be jus the fact you had to buy bait. Keep up the entertainment mon ami!
Dats my favorite way to catch dem blues
When water is clear put net in water beforehand and pull crab on to net so they don't see the movement
Big crabs. Good eating
Send some my way 😅
Have you ever soaked your Asparagus in a Italian salad dressin over night b4 bbqing ? It is soooo good
Droplining for crabs.
Better be some big crabs.
Rockerfellas is a great place to crab in Louisiana
Why does everybody purchase chicken to go crabbing? I can never understand this. Crab will eat almost anything. "Road kill is perfect bait and its free.
I trap for a living up here in the Pacific Northwest and I use all of the critters I catch for bait when trapping crab.
I hope to visit your area this year. I have got to try some of those ditches.
Crab > Lobster.🤤
Hollandaise sauce would be great
Awesome bro
I am from Az..aren't you worried about gators in those ditches?
You’ve got to be kidding me. No
After catching the crabs, you should send the small ones on the opposite end of the ditch so you don’t catch them again
New subscriber from YAWT YAWT
Thanks for the sub
You should keep your Catch Bag (blue basket with crabs caught) in the water somehow, so it does not tip over and keeps the crabs fresh. Or a cooler with ice or fresh water too.
on my ring nets i made a wire mesh cage to stuff my chicken in and zip tie it to the net so they cant steal the bait
excellente facon d'attraper les crabes !!!!
Where’s the crab cook?!?

Scoop behind the chicken excuse me they swim backwards so it's a better chance to net them
