Great. Can we get the Star Ocean 2 remake now please.
I'm so excited for this game! I love the Mana series, and it's amazing that we're getting a new entry.
I think its good that more SE games get to Xbox and i really should buy it on xbox to show that these games can get sales but SE games are one of the reasons i bought a PS5 so i stick to PS for this.
I’m pretty hype for the game as well, it looks amazing and the gameplay seems pretty cool.
One concerning bit I see it there doesn’t seem to be more than one playable characters or even party members.
I can live with that but coming out of Trials of Mana which even let’s you decide who will be the protagonist, it’s hard to not feel like a downgrade in some way.
Why are square enix so inconsistent, some games go to xbox and others don't? I understand FFXVI because sony has an exclusivity deal, but something like the Pixel FF collection I don't understand at all.
Probably because games don't sell that much on Xbox outside the US.
Because Japanese games don't sell well on trashbox
The SE games released on Xbox in recent years, have mostly been IPs not owned by SE (Nier, DQ, Star Ocean, Diofield). SE doesn't decide the platforms for those games.
Anyway, a former SE executive recently argued in an interview that SE have made a mistake by not supporting Xbox better. As a consequence almost the entire SE fanbase is now on Playstation. That means Sony can basically force SE to accept deals/conditions that benefit Sony much more than they benefit SE.
"When you're the publisher relying on first party for success, you're always at a disadvantage, because your individual title matters less to the platform holder than it does to you."
-Jacob Navok, former head of Square's Shinra Technologies.
In other words, SE have put themselves in a position where they need to keep Sony happy in order for their games to sell at all. And Sony obviously doesn't want SE games on Xbox.
@@MikhailBakunin-qk6bb good comment. Hopefully more sqaure enix get out of the exclusive deals.
Oh that's true, SE doesn't like to make videos of their studios and developers. I'd like to know why. Before that, the last time they gave us a little peek behind the scenes was for Balan Wonderworld. Too bad it didn't shed any light on why it turned out so bad.
Seems like a great game enjoy it.
Been excited for this since the TGS reveal. I will be picking this up on PS5.
Square Enix publishes CoD in Japan, now they probably need be to be nice to Microsoft lol
Why xbot?
Damn, why is every comment section on this channel pure cringe
One of us 🧟♂️
Ikr, why on DF Clips of all things?
Xbots
System wars bs
@@dorian6021 Yup, you’d think the DF hosts not being spastic and over the top and the non cringe thumbnails would repel kids yet here we are.
Not sure why this is titled “Square Enix Returns to Xbox”. Square released Infinity Strash : Dragon Quest The Story of Dai on Xbox back in September. They released games on Xbox in 2022. They stopped because their games don’t sell on Xbox and Square will be reminded of that when this game doesn’t sell on Xbox
Xbox had the father of final fantasy and didn’t even get him to make any games for their console…
Every once in a while Square has to be reminded that games don't sell on Xbox. Won't take long.
Source?
@@ContrastCopy Source? Square stopping putting games on Xbox because they didn't sell the first time. How did you need help with that one?
@@dorian6021 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Maybe you should look up agitation before attempting to use it. Facts aren't agitating me in the least bit. Seems a lot more like you're agitated by me pointing them out.
@@dorian6021 Not really. More interested in watching play out. My crystal ball might be broken. Still my official prediction though.
@@dorian6021 You seem agitated.
Square games on Xbox??? What has the world come to 😭
they’re often on Windows so it’s not that strange
I'm sure the 10 xbox fans are ecstatic
For a system you don't even own your daily copium tears of attention are hysterical 😂
@@social6077I stand corrected
@@mikeuk666Says the xbot who goes through entire comment sections replying to anyone who even slightly criticises his precious box 😂
@@MichaelM28your two accounts literally stalk these channels for attention then cry when called out 😂
@@mikeuk666That's literally what you do xbot 😂🤦🏼♂️
So we play as a female protagonist?
@@dorian6021 yeah it be nice if I had a choice , but it seems there isn’t
Watch it sell 20x the account of copies on PS5 🤣🤣🤣
How is that ps5 palworld going..... oh yeah 😂
@@mikeuk666It'll come to PS5 when it releases officially. Thanks for beta testing it for us 😂
Who would've guessed that a niche Japanese game would sell better in Japan (which prefers domestic products over foreign products)😱
@@deathtrooper2048You do know that PlayStation is sold worldwide right, not just in Japan?
@@MichaelM28you do know they were on about game sales in Japan but keep moving those goal posts 😂
Gaybox series x: 2.5 million units sold in 4 years 😂😂😂😂😂😂. MEGA L FOR THE GAYBOX SERIES X FANQUEERS
Grow up
@@lucanos34Cope xbot
Switch = 132.46 million units
PS5 = 50 Million units
Series X/S = 24.33 million units
Sep 2020 to Sep 2023
PC & Laptop = 775 Million
@@mikeuk666Lol you're not doing trashbox any favours with those numbers
What a waste of time and money, we don't want nor care about these random weeaboo games on Xbox, the only bad part about the direct was seeing these trash on screen, hopefully nobody buys it
This is an actual quality RPG, not something like Arknights or Genshin Impact which are low quality "gatcha" (lootboxes basically) games.
This is why Japanese Devs don't release their games on trashbox
@@MichaelM28 that's fine by me, we don't care about the trash JRPG games they make
@Packin-Heatwhy is that a good thing? That just means less people get to play games. I’d prefer it to sell well, then everyone is happy.
@Packin-HeatI did, but I interpreted your meaning incorrectly.
