Nice build. I’ve been looking for a 8” guitar speaker I really like for a while. I’ve been wanting to build a small cab to run with a little 5 watt tube head but just haven’t found the right 8” speaker yet.
What is the cut-out hole size for an 8 inch Guitar speaker - thinking of buying a Jensen 25 Watt green and using 15x 20 x1/2 white poly cutting boards for the from and back of a Speaker cab with the Footnote Amp from Parts Express.
You can buy Bee Boxes for 25$ that already finger jointed - via Tractor supply for Harvest Lane Honey Beehive Deep Brood Box Painted and Assembled, 16-1/4 in. x 19-7/8 in. x 9-1/2 in. 3/4 inch pine
Very nice. 1 question. Blind nuts to secure the speaker to the baffle. But the grill cloth is also directly stapled to the baffle. Are your speaker screws sized just right so they secure the speaker but don't protrude into the grill material? I'm building a 2 x 10 and love this design. Other than the baffle itself, I'm using reclaimed wood also.
Good job buddy. Lucky you didn't drop any sharp items on your toes. You weren't even wearing japanese safety boots! How does it sound with a sealed back? Did you take off the back and listen to the difference? Apparently some speakers perform well with a sealed back, and others don't.
Hey i'm trying to make my own 1x8 but I don't know what size to make it. Is there a certain rule as to how big to make it? I'm not really knowledge about guitar cabs. If you could guide me in the right direction or give me the dimensions of your 1x8 please.
Your exactly the kind of over achiever who can engineer or build anything that I snicker at when I walk my dog in the neighboorhood. Well done! Why didn't you demo it?
Got your Aussie work boots on mate...lol nice haven't seen that for a while.
Great content
I like that you left the X on the outside. Gives it some interesting texture.
Very helpful! Many thanks for your work.
LOL the sander and power tools are very much a part of the song. At one point the sander sounded like a horn section.
Beautiful more over engineered than I expected Well built sir !

Good job . The speaker only needs 4 bolts. Open back makes a more 3 d sound!
Awesome ! Gonna give it a go, and get a pedal board sized amp to go with it 😀
No handle? No sound sample?
very realistic safety shoes dude.
Four screws for the speaker is fine. But cool little project.

Could a 1/2 watt diy amp with a LM386 suffice to drive the 8" speaker?
Hello! What is the cable you used?

Is it possible to use the pedalboard if we enter the guitar directly here?
How much to build me one?
Hi noob here i just want to build a mini cab with a 4" speaker which can run on powerbank or maybe 9v. So is it possible ???

Now do it with hand tools.....
With all that money you saved, now you can buy some shoes?
