      Hi, good luck with your build. One thing I didn’t point out in the video, you need to account for the depth of both the baffle and the frame for the fabric, I didn’t leave enough depth there when I did this one.

    I like the beautiful warm sound. I also dig the scenery and the palm trees and trees in the background. You have it nice in Australia :)

      Thank you very much! I mic’d the new Neo speaker for the recording.

    I was thinking of how to describe this but he finally said it. Seat of the pants carpentry. Good for rock and roll. Classic.

    I am still using the new Celestion Neo V at the bottom, with the Greenback on top. I recorded the intro music with a mic on the Neo V. Sounds good, quite like the Greenback. Plus they have identical sensitivity, so volume is identical. It also breaks up more than a Creamback, like the Greenback.

      If you have some pine bookshelves they are good to use. Good luck 🫡

      Wow, thank you! It is a pleasure working with the solid pine. And this box ended up sounding good.

    This is great. Saves a ton of money and it's all about the speakers anyways. Looks great too thanks for sharing brother

      Thank you! I agree the sound is mostly about the speaker and then the baffle. That’s why making a speaker box is a good DIY project. Plus you can use solid timbers which is nice.

    Great stuff. I have a couple OF bedside 3 drawer units that I've been planning on using for cabinets (possibly combos) for several years now...I just haven't provided my wife with the replacements yet (".)

      They are great candidates to become speaker cabinets. They were probably made into bedside cabinets by mistake in the first place 😃

      Thanks, I enjoy using the pine shelving, the solid pine sounds good. And I am a big fan of Greenbacks.

    If you please, what size are the speaker studs? They seem a simpler, and easier to find item than Fender style speaker studs.

      Hi Mike, do you mean the nut, bolt and washers I used to attach the speaker to the baffle?

    • @nashmanzl
      @nashmanzl 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@turrafirmaguitarchannel Yes, that is what I meant. BUT, it was enough that you mention the simplicity of carriage bolts. So my little speaker I'm DIY-ing a cab around will need a very slight modification to get the 1/4" bolts through, with appropriate star-washer attached nuts. $1.82 right around the corner from me.

      @@nashmanzl sounds good! Or you might choose a bolt thin enough to get through the holes in the speaker rim?

      @turrafirmaguitarchannel If they're too long I can cut them down. Roasted red oak 1x10!
