Sony already released a fix for PS4 & PS5s cmos battery issue the console can now run without it. PlayStation 5 consoles reportedly no longer lose game playing functionality when their internal CMOS battery dies. That's according to a new analysis by Hikikomori Media, which appears to confirm that a PS5 with a missing or expired CMOS battery can now run physical and digital PS4 and PS5 games.
Cmos battery issue has been fixed for quite a while now. You do not need to replace it if you don't want to. The only issue you will come by is the date and time of your trophies will be a wrong date. And that's it. Ps3, ps4 and ps5 all have the cmos battery issue fixed. So please do not pass wrong info about. This was an issue but it's been remedied.
I don't get why people would want a ps5 pro. I mean it runs smoothly at 4k and even supports 8k and barely anyone has a 8k TV or monitor, I would also say that there is a huge portion that doesn't even play on 4k.
For best overall experience and quality it is always better to buy the slim version every generation. Ps4 Pro wasn't even half of what it was advertising to be
U right about that. Once I get a system I never go and spend another 500 or more for another one and another one its not that serious. Because at the end of the day u have the PS5
Just get whatever model you can find, performance wise there's not going to be any difference, that's why this is not marketed by Sony, this isn't supposed to concern the client in any way.
The thing that has pissed me off lately is Sony raising PS5 prices after they developed a cheaper way to produce the system. So instead of making the PS5 cheaper and passing the savings to the customer or at the very least keep the price the same and still being able to make more just based on the system being cheaper to make Sony says no we need more money and screw over the customer. Don’t be surprised if the price hike comes to the United States.
I had no idea there were issues with the hdmi port…I got mine a few months after launch so not sure if I got a launch model or not. But now I’m super concerned because I’m constantly moving my PS5. The first time I took off the plates of the ps5 I scratch the inside of the console, its almost imposible not to do it, I felt bad for a few days, but now looking at this video I have realized that even this guys that are super professionals an knows how to treat the console they even made a few scratches on the console as well ( minute 5:40 ). So now I have learned a technique in order to take off the plates without scratching the console or at least way less than the first time. I think Sony need to fix that problem Asap on the designe of the new upcoming version of ps5 & ps5 pro.
I bought a new 1200 disc version this week, my first PS5, I have been looking for ages but never was able to find one in store, lucky I was able to find this one on Amazon. Unfortunately I think I have an overheating problem, the controller will stop responding after playing for a while, it varies but maybe after one or two fifa games or a couple of GT7 races. I then have to wait for it to go to sleep or hold the power button and restart it. Last night I removed the sides and directed my Dyson fan onto it and it has not missed a beat since. I guess a little bit more testing is needed for me to say for sure but it would be interesting to hear if anyone else is experiencing the same issues.
Everyone is still having a hard time to be able to put their hands on a PS5, no matter the model and there come these guys recommending you look for 1200 model... Also we need more technical people to assess if the new model is truly worth it more than 1000 or 1100. Other than that this is just a "novelty hype train" video...
The PS4 Pro for GT7 actually looks better on the coloring and the sharpness difference between the PS5 is pretty neglegible. I'd rather have my 4 Pro with GT Sport than 5 with 7.
How can the cost-cutting version be better? Well, the only thing I notice on the original ps5 is capacitor noise when running graphics intense games. But other than that it's very quiet.
There has been a rumor for awhile that they would be moving production to the TSMC 6 or 5nm. This would explain the lower power draw and the need for significantly less coppper. The same is probably happening to the Xbox since their both manufactured at the same plant.

I could really do with the new model. I don't think they will release a PS5 pro because the base PS5 is leaps and bounds more powerful than the PS4 was when it first launched and that's why they needed the PS4 Pro bc the system was outdated the day it launched pretty much
I dont think they release a PS5 Slim so fast. They just released some face plates a few months ago. They will be all worthless if a smaller one will come.
@@aganbraganca4156 Only better in the sense that it has the largest cooling system. It was arguably overkill but Sony had to ensure they wouldn't release jet engine consoles again. Once the dust settled they realized they could get away with a lot less cooling while still maintaining the quiet operation, hence the dramatic reduction you see in the 1100 model. Outside of that, power consumption will ofc be best (most efficient) on the new model.
Just to put it in perspective, the PS4 (10 yrs. old) current chip revision is 9 , the PS5 (2yrs old) is at 8, this acceleration is do to the chip shortage, PS needs more machines sold, I saw on SONY quarterly report that they want to sale 18 million units in this last JP reporting half of 22, estimated by Bloomberg total since the release is around 18 mil, and they want that number in a 6 month reporting, if they produce them, they will sale them. My only critique is the lack of new original IP games.
I have no clue what mine is, bought it off a homie for an insanely good price and it's worked great. the speed, the ease, the controller has never gotten stick drift somehow no buttons not working. everything is insane compared to what I thought and I had pretty high expectations anyway.
my brain jumps to conclusions quick and overthinks but then I have to realize most everyone's opinion or info is dogshit irrelevant and I stick with what ik is good.
From day 1, the very first teardown of the PS5 that I saw figured it was a mess of a cooling system. The Series X (and the S for that matter) may look "simpler" but they are designed to do what they do while cooling as efficiently as possible.
Yeah the PS5 cooling system is not great. It doesn't circulate air flow correctly for several reasons. The Series X on the other hand is a lot better, and even more so now as it's had a few internal revisions too, it just doesn't get talked about as much. Having owned both I can tell you, the Series X runs quieter (not by much but it is noticeable) and draws less power overall especially when just streaming video on it.
@@MisterReen You're stating opinion as fact there, a common gamer problem. Its more accurate to say that there's nothing on Xbox that *you* find exciting cos you don't speak for everyone... personally I think there's plenty of great games on the platform.
Personally, I respect a nice rectangle. It’s easier to find space for and doesn’t complicate the engineering. PS5 is a nice design aesthetically but it wastes space from a practical perspective.
With that new design, they could have made is smaller by length by a few inches further cutting plastic and some metal. I would have been fine if they also made it wider if they shortened the length.

By the time this gen gaming consoles is considered “old” or ready for an update gaming will be cloud streaming based. Easier to manage cross play, easier to distribute and can be a lot cheaper so can reach more people around the world.
Slim chance because there's still a lot of people that don't have great internet for that. And it will be a while before the whole world has internet like that and it's not because they're poor it's because of where they live like me we are just now going to get internet out here in November and I'm not even sure how good it's going to be and if it's going to be super expensive because there's only going to be one provider so they can set the prices
And besides that there's people like me that prefer to have a hard copy to play on. If it goes that way with consoles then I'll just go to PC and start ripping my games for free
@@Anedime Yea cloud gaming is never going to take over gaming at home IMO. I don't think we'll ever get to a point where cloud gaming will simply be a better experience than having dedicated hardware to play on. I think we'll see it used as an addon to mobile gaming, it'll be used when your console just isn't available so you don't have a choice but to stream.

I agree it was fixed in a update
Cmos battery issue has been fixed for quite a while now. You do not need to replace it if you don't want to. The only issue you will come by is the date and time of your trophies will be a wrong date. And that's it. Ps3, ps4 and ps5 all have the cmos battery issue fixed.

Not to worried about it just bought another one which is the forbidden one. Still got the 1000.
