    Great starting tools. Don't listen to people telling you that you need the most expensive brands. If it works for you and it's paid for and you make money with it then that's what matters. Keep growing your knowledge and experience and tool collection!

      Absolutely, its the man that makes the well made clothes, not the expensive clothes that just make im look like a fop. Besides Milwaukee and Icon are very good tools.

    My nephew graduates in December and I’m trying to surprise him with a nice set of tools. He’s already gotten a job offer.

      Thanks ! When you’re just starting out buying tools go for the cheaper tools with lifetime warranty. They get the job done just as good and if it ever breaks go get a new one for free.

      I have been very happy with icon. I haven’t had anything break or cause me any problems with daily use.

      I have the icon sockets, ratcheting wrenches and screwdrivers and they have all held up very well so far for me.

      @@nickmcgee3258 that’s awesome. I just graduated high school and wanna get into wrenching. I’ve owned several diesels and just hate not knowing how to fix things. I’m having a hard time having a shop take me in tho

      Talk to everyone you know in your area weather they are a mechanic or not they might know someone that is and help you get your foot in the door somewhere. Or you can start as a lube tech at a quick lane or similar place and work your way up. Here in southeast michigan they are hiring everywhere. With or without any experience. Talk to people. Make connections and you’ll find a place.

      @@nickmcgee3258 sounds good will do. Did you go into a shop with no experience or do a little school

    • @nickmcgee3258
      @nickmcgee3258  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only experience I had prior was auto tech in high school and working on my own vehicles for 10+ years. No school. But I knew someone already working at the shop.
