Much easier and safer to use the press tool they have on the truck.
Great collection. Which wrench organizer are you using?
@@M4ttj0nes wrench pro organizer from ERNST. They are great! I’ll make a video on them soon
Is your truck leveled?
@@PERRAS239 yes and no. The torsion key bolts are turned up a couple turns but not level with factory rear. Enough to need aftermarket uppers
@@nickmcgee3258 dang I just ordered these and saw that they’re not meant for leveled trucks, unfortunate for me haha
@@PERRAS239 maybe 3/4 of an inch lower in the front vs the rear on my truck and they work great. Ball joint is mounted on the bottom side of the control arm. The is turned up. Just now 100% level ya know ?
@@nickmcgee3258 yeah my stock uca sit pretty much just how yours were before, almost sitting on the bump stop
I’m into orange but this high viz very nice! 🤌🏻
Why didn't you get the Yellow 34 inch service cart
@@jasinpedone3020 yellow and hi viz are completely different and don’t look good together in my opinion. And the black really lets the hi viz stand out. I think the grey cart would look really good with hi viz also
@@nickmcgee3258 I love the high viz tools myself I bought a orange 34 inch and doing the orange organizer with the hiz viz screwdriver and they really pop
matching matching, a man copying my own ocd. Now I want you to find some hi-viz vinyl to put on those drawer handles to make the cart pop.
Yep I went cheap box and good tools too
Use boiling water. I've doing for few times now, switched out the bad handles to a newer one. You don't have to used hammer or need a vise. I did it just a boiling pot of water, 2 towels or rags so u can wrapped around them when remove, and put them back together.
Broooo that high viz is nice 😁
There you go, let’s just mar the shit out of everything, GLAD I LEARNED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HERE!!
That damn quality control at Snap-On missing the handle alignment, hmmmmm. Time to switch to SK tools!!
What’s the part number for the magnetic mats??
Love the contrast. I have a black box and slowly switching to hi viz. 💯
Rusting tools can potentially be a humidity issue. Try some silica packets in your drawers and top of the box. Oil your industrial or "impact" finish tools every couple weeks or so. Looks great.
The black and hi vis look great and i just got that milwaukee screw driver and i love it prob my favorite tool its perfect for cork gasketa
As a suggestion, you could drill a hole the size of the ratchet shaft, split it, then use the two pieces in the vice to hold the ratchet firmly and tighter.
MUCH BETTER IDEA than a rag like this which there is no way anyone is going to tell me that beautiful new ratchet body didn’t get marred by the vise teeth digging into it as he smashed the shit out of it with a hammer. Sorry, common sense just says NOT A GOOD METHOD PERIOD!!
What’s the tire size?
33x12.50R22
How much is a replacement handle from the snap on website?
Between $30-$40 depending which drive size ratchet
When I do this it burns my fuse when I use the turn signal, did you run into this issue?
I have not had this issue. I would start by inspecting the wiring through the harness and making sure nothing is sorting or grounding out.
That’s a real nice color combination.
Love the Hi-Viz. the box and color and tool layout is nice my dude
Thank you!
HI Viz is a much better color than the awful green.
How are they holding up? Looking to purchase these for my truck?
They are holding up very well haven’t had a single issue. And it’s held the alignment and ridden very well on these potholes filled Michigan roads. Zero complaints
@@nickmcgee3258 thanks for the reply. Roads aren’t the best here in wisco either, so makes me feel better they are holding up
Nice setup I’ve got the same box but in blue. I thought I was the only one who loves the snap on hi vis thanks for sharing
Injectors are 50k miles past needing work. If u need to save money do like i did, just buy brand new oem bosch nozzles. Next, take out injectors, replace nozzles. I just saved u thousands thank me after u see results. Companies will pay u 4 to 800 for your core injectors for a reason. Do not get rid of yours
If the temp is 70° not a cold start. Cold start not determined by engine being cold.
Fix your injectors
Are you going to use any of it?
Nice set up!
Love the high viz yellow and black! That's my color of choice next to gun metal grey.
Hi-vis looks soooo nice!! I am all red kind of guy haha!
Well now finally someone who was Smart Instead of paying 5k for a Empty snap-on toolbox Instead get a box that will do the job and then spend the money on the tools. It's about time someone did it right👍👍 Hopefully some younger mechanics see this and learn from it
Yep..my first box was a craftsman..top and bottom. When the opportunity came along I traded it in on snap on used roll cab. Best way to do it so you still have money after pay day.
finally someone with a nother Hi viz obsession
His ratchet setup is exactly what i am slowly building. I am about 1/3 of the way there. Hi Viz hard handle is the only way.
Nice tools $$$😢 The hi-vis looks awesome.
Love that chrome crystal clear look man...
Yea dip it in boiling water for a little. It’ll come off faster and boil the new one so when it cools down it’s for sure stuck on there and prevent any room for cracking when under pressure but it’s a small ratchet so I’m sure it’ll be fine. Came out awesome!
Just boil it and pull it right off. Same with installation, longer boiling the easier, 10 min no prob
Hey Nick, great video. I was wondering what you did with the little marker lights. The small bulb on the far edges of your bottom lense.
I actually don’t have the 194 bulbs in there at all. They look good when the running lights are on but when the turn signals are on they flash opposite of the running/signal bulbs and they are only white not switchback
If u are putting the new fass filters on your truck water separator goes on the 2 hose side with the straw
Unless you wanted a color change, wouldn’t it have been easier to just twist the original handle in the vice to line it up?
The model I did this to - there were "wings" that cut into the handle material on the shaft of the ratchet. If you rotate the handle to avoid the already-cut notches the first installation made, you can re-use the original handle and line it up as it should be.
Update?
Sounds great fixing to do exact same set up!
My nephew graduates in December and I’m trying to surprise him with a nice set of tools. He’s already gotten a job offer.
first time buying snap on i didn’t know there’s other colors since this video everything had been bought or swapped to pearl blue. very helpful
Awesome!!! Pearl blue is such a good color!
How is the high viz soft grip stuff aging? I know the plier handles clean up easy but some handles kinda stain like the green and orange does somtimes
Man that sounds good. I think i like that better than 4 or 5" aftermarket exhaust kits
Drill out the right length, boil it, and it'll slide right on, won't budge after it cools down
I am curious to hear it driving. I am looking to do the same with factory piping but not finding many people with it. Mostly just upgrading to 4-5" pipes.
Will the hard handle grips fit right onto the soft comfort grip ones? I’d like to change my soft handle for the hard handle
Yes you can make it fit. The inside of the hard handle necks down toward the bottom of the handle. You will have to drill it out. The soft grip does not have the same back down.
@@nickmcgee3258 cool thanks man I appreciate it
This guy seems so unexcited by his own tools
