    These are wonderful exercises and explained in a clear, easy to understand fashion. My one concern is that for those with serious fibromyalgia the suggested reps given here are way too high and can cause severe fatigue and set back. Not tryin to discourage folks from trying, just wish that this was brought up and factored in. He did say "listen to your body" numerous times but as a person that has lived with fibromyalgia for yrs that is often hard to do. Hearing it put this way, ex. U may be a little sore ... isn't quite realistic. If I were to do these recommended reps I would then be in bed for the day. I hope to see more videos of this type that show ways to moderate the exercise(s) in ways and amts that work for those who are more seriously affected by fibromyalgia and other health issues.

    You’re the best, Matt Hsu. Your exercises suggested here are so simple yet sooooo effective. Who would have thought! And you explained them very clearly. I do the scapular retractions and shrugs anytime of the day I have a moment. I thank you so very much. My shoulders are feeling relief as they never have. Honestly, I was already researching for a physiotherapist to help. I’m glad I didn’t go ahead because yours helped tremendously after 2 times and once of your other video “The One Shoulder Exercise Everyone Should Do”. Thank you again. 🙏

    Hi! I have had Fibromyalgia for about 4 years now and i have suffered pain mainly in my legs, arms, wrists and hands. But over the last few months pain has been progressing all over my body even places I don`t want it. I get very tired throughout the day and walking down town is a constant struggle so i am limited but I am trying to do it more often now.
    I have been getting really bad pain on the shoulder blades and neck lately and I didn`t think it was the Fibromyalgia to start off with but it is really painful and pain killers don`t work. I will use a hot water bottle on the location to help it, but it doesn`t go away. I came across your you tube on shoulder and neck exercises, I have only had chance to try it once so far, but it really has helped and i managed to do your set amount. I have still got a little pain but I will be doing them frequently and thank you for making the time to help us all. I couldn`t do the weight exercises though as I have 2 heart conditions and i know you shouldn`t use weights with Heart conditions but I will check with my GP.

      I have had a heart condition all my life I was told I wouldn't see my teens I'm 67 and I am lifting weights and body weight exercises take it slow and easy and listen to what your body is telling you and no ego lifting that will get you into trouble. Lots of instructions for beginners to pro on TH-cam

    Thank you so much for this video. I've spent the last 7 months struggling with what started as tight neck muscles, headaches and dizzyness and escalated into sharp shoulder pains that spread into both arms, wrists and fingers and eventually spread into my legs, knees, and ankles as well. The worst of the pain and stiffness is in my shoulders and neck, but physical therapy hasn't been helping so far. I started the shoulder exercises you demonstrated and plan to continue them. Thank you so much again.

    From one who has had fibromyalgia from way before it was labeled as such, bless you, Sir. I'm watching this video in 2022 and comparing you in videos I see now, to this one, it is obvious that your physical health has improved dramatically. I'm already doing a number of the exercises I've seen you do, and this just increases the likelihood I will continue. Do you also practice Ba Duan Jin?

    I am constantly looking for pain relief videos for my chronic pain, and never have found one that works. And the videos are all usually the same, so I was very skeptical coming into this video, but because it was so short I didn't mind watching it. And even after watching it I was still doubtful, but after doing one exercise I already felt a difference. Please exercises look very simple but if you have chronic pain then you know doing it is a different story. I highly recommend trying this video! I was only able to do two sets of everything on 10 or less reps. So I know there's a lot of more improvement to do, and I will hopefully remember to do this more often! (Yay brain fog)

  • @selene7726
    @selene7726 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you for suggestions. I was excited to see beginner description bc in morning it takes moving by inches to even get out of bed. Neck moving 5-10 degrees sideways and intense pain. I could do the first 2. Third one- not a chance -I am not able to move arms 15 degrees away from sides and certainly cannot lift them. Then 4+5 have weights + lifting!!! I appreciate seeing the exercises but very hopeless to feel intense pain and lack of movement and the solution is not even close to realm of possibility. Fibromyalgia in my experience is debilitating and people need help for basic movement and coping with constant pain.

    Can someone who has fibromyalgia and does your strength rehab program eventually work up to doing something like Mark Rippetoe's 5by5 starting strength program? I used to not be able to use my hands at all without extreme pain, then after 4 months of intense massage done in India at Deepak Sharan's Recoup institute in Bangalore I got better. That was about 4 years ago. And I have been struggling with strength training because I tend to over do it and then I require massage which can be expensive in the US. Also thank you for the video and great content!
