Omg, I lost it when that donkey came out and Corinne was so smitten by it 😂. I was watching in bed, and was laughing so hard my husband had to see what was amusing me so much so we both finished watching together. Thank you for so many things, laughter, appreciation and motivation. ❤
Another wonderful Shopcast! Corinne and Maggie, your enthusiasm for your wool is catching. I really loved the donkey. It's too darn cute. And as always, Rachel is a special person in my heart. I'm glad her naughty boy found his way home. He looked very happy to see his mom. I've never done color work but I do admire it very much. My best wishes for all of you.
I absolutely love your free-wheeling Sock KAL. Knitting a pair of socks was my first goal when I started learning more than the basics of knitting. Love to see your progress and imagine all the happy feet 😄
Another great shopcast! I love Caitlin’s design talent - wow! Also looking forward to both the May taster box AND the Vest KAL. shout out to Kelsey for helping me to select the right yarn for the pattern I have in mind. You are the best - all of you! Oh…and happy belated birthday to Maggie 🍾💐🥳
The interview with Irina was very special. Corrine it showed you in the best light and why you are so successful at getting your message across. Congrats. Always love the podcast.
Loved the shopcast - another great show and Happy Birthday Maggie! So cute with the donkey and wonderful interview Corinne with Irina. Nothing better than a bit of crunchy wool! ❤️ Best line of the show - Maggie it’s my new tag line - “don’t should on your knitting” - spot on!
Happy Belated Birthday 🥳 Maggie. So love all these lovely animals. Keep it going. Thanks as always for a great Shopcast. Always enjoy the segments. Catlin soooo love that shawl ❤ such talent ❤ always enjoy your projects. Always a joy to see Rachel too. Thank you.
Hello ladies from Kitchener Waterloo Ontario. I thoroughly enjoy your podcast that I am enjoying with a cup of tea while knitting socks. I am inspired by your ideas and creativity. You’re both amazing and fun to watch.
I love spending some weekend time with the Woolly Thistle crew!! Happy birthday, Maggie, and congratulations to Corinne on your wonderful conversation with Irina! Lovely episode ❤
As usual, I really enjoyed this episode, particularly the very charming donkey! Thanks so much for sharing your WIPS, and all the yummy goodies in the shop!
Happy belated birthday Maggie. Corrine thank you for brief summary on your construction of your heel flap and gusset. I would not have imagined a difference of an odd or even beginning of the heel flap. Enjoy the weekend.
Thanks for another full Shopcast. Caitlin, your shawl you designed is gorgeous. Best of luck to you Rachel on The Fair Isle Project. I’ll be following your project with interest.
Your pronunciation of Doull first spoken is exactly how it is said here in Shetland 👏👏 A lovely pattern, I’m just starting the crown in the natural colours from Uradale kit. Belated birthday wishes Maggie 🎉
I have just started knitting in 100% pure wool, non superwash - and I am loving it!! I am British and have free access to so much beautiful wool over here. Your podcast, though, is the one that has been responsible for me to moving to proper woolly wool - so thank you very much. I am married to a Texan who (after 18 years over here) appreciates the warmth of the wool!! Jinny - UK
Enjoyed your enthusiasm for all things yarn while I cast on a fun simple sweater this Saturday morning. I hope my kids give me a gift card to your shop for Mother’s Day/ birthday which I heavily hinted for!
Best birthday wishes Maggie! I just finished making Horacio the Donkey and he’s so loveable. Aside from him, I’ve made Mouche who is happy to have a friend to hang out with! Thanks for the great episode, I look forward to each one!
Yet another fabulous episode. I look forward to each one and cannot wait to see the finished donkey. Maggie, I appreciate your comment ,”there are no should sin knitting “. Words to remember.
Loving the sock KAL. So far,I’ve kept up with a monthly pair of socks. Love Rachel’s idea of the Fair Isle Project. And as always, love seeing all of the beautiful yarn.
Lovely shopcast, as always. I knit along on a "bonus" sock while I watched and might have had to pause so I could order Laine and Summer Lee's sock book. The colors of the Scottish Yarn Festival yarns make me so happy, I am still waiting to see what my 4-ply stash wants to become. (maybe a vest??)
You have inspired me to knit socks this year. It’s been a great journey because I started off with the feeling that socks were my least favorite category to knit, but thought I would at least give them another try, and now I’m starting to enjoy it. I also am LOVING the Rambler yarn for socks. The feel of Rambler is fantastic. 👏👏
Oh my goodness - the WYS colors! Love Caitlin’s work and her color choices. Have been watching Rachel’s Fairisle project and look forward to learning a lot from it. Great episode, many thanks.
Thanks for all the sock inspiration! I pulled out a half-completed sock to knit while I watched the shop cast and now I have big plans for future sock knitting. Bring on the summer sock KAL!
Happy birthday Maggie!!! And another great shopcast!!! Just a few of the high points: Corrine's socks (I love them), Maggie's donkey (definitely to die for), Caitlin's shawl (WOW!!) and Rachel's sweater(I would love more details). I was knitting my April/May socks, had just turned the heel and was back to the mindless (but so soothing) part and so could really pay attention to all that loveliness. Thanks so much for the shopcast.
Sitting here in Port Townsend, Washington, I couldn't believe my ears when Caitlin said she'd be knitting the Port Townsend Sweater by Wool & Pine. Hooray for Port Townsend! I run around Port Townsend in my WOOLLY THISTLE Lettlopi Felix sweater. I look forward to every shop cast!
Happy Birthday, Maggie! I love that everyone has joined me in this sock kal. It really took off! Too bad we couldn't stack all the socks at the year for a photo!! I wish I'd made the hashtag with twt in it, but I didn't feel it was my place. I should have written and asked first. I've been cranking out plain vanillas, but I'm doing something different this month with a pair using helical knitting. I missed having a pair of plain vanilla though, so I cast on one of those as well. lol Thanks for the reminder, Maggie. I made a blending board a couple of months ago and have yet to play with it.
A very happy belated birthday to you, Maggie! I do love your green WYS socks. Oh yes, Corinne, please do a video. I'd love to knit your socks as well! Thank you for another inspiring shopcast, cheers!
Such a fun shopcast today! It’s always an inspiration to see all the projects you are working on and enjoying. I am on the notification list for when the Mouche & friends is available, hoping you are able to get some in soon!
Happy birthday Maggie! Beautiful socks and the donkey is going to be so cute. Hard to choose a favorite kit for the SWW hat. Love seeing the mama and lambs in Rachel’s update. Her project sounds interesting.
Happy happy! 🎉 I really enjoy the variety of content in your podcast. I also enjoy all of the great options you have in your shop. I just received my WYS sock yarn and can’t wait to cast on! AND, finally, 😊 I would just like to compliment your customer service staff. They always respond quickly and are so helpful. ❤
Please be sure to share the donkey when he's finished! I've made the raccoon and agree that the knitting is great fun! Starting with the nose and watching the animal come to life is amazing. Thank you for introducing me to all the new woolly wools and books I love.
Happy Birthday month to Maggie from a fellow Taurus! Love your shawl Caitlin, great colors and texture. The taster box is tempting yet again...!!! And good luck with your Fair Isle project Rachel. So frustrating about the Bird Observatory construction stalling yet again... may it resume soon. The birds need our support just like the sheep do! 💓🦤🧶🐏💓
Happy Birthday, Maggie!!! You are the bee's knees⁹ ❤. Love your new hat, Corinne. How you juggle it and design as well is way beyond me. Today, I was floored by all the beautiful finish objects, by the whole TWT community. Thank you all for the joy you
Glad you won Yarn Chicken, Corrine! Your socks are lovely! Happy birthday, Maggie! Your hand-spuns are amazing! And that donkey is just too danged cute!!!
Thin areas in socks or even downright holes: Highly recommend Katrinkles Darning and Mending Looms. I use the "Smaller Darning Loom" with the Heddle Expansion Pack. Easy peasy to use. Worth every penny. Fast. And can be used for commercial socks or handmade socks. Beats all other methods I've tried over the years. Love it when you show the socks or socks-in-progress that you're both knitting, Corinne and Maggie!
Enjoying this podcasts in smaller chunks, so still looking forward to the last half hour; wanted to say Happy Birthday Maggie, have loved all the projects so far -the Donkey of course, the socks, and Caitlin’s shawl! (and sweater and hat, and the planned sweater…)
One of those episodes where I just really miss sitting around and giggling with all you ladies IRL!! What a fun time. So psyched about all the SOCK madness!!
Lovely episode, Maggie's Horacio Donkey, is sure giving me the impulse to buy Mouche and friends book. Caitlin’s Mosaic Shawl is just stunning, i'd buy the pattern as soon as it is out. I admire Corinne’s Ballachulish Beanie, it is so wonderful !!! So gald to hear about Rachel's archive project, I wish her luck with this great work. I was very glad to see the Easter bunny wnet to visit Rachel on her croft.

I was so excided to hear that you are getting more bags in. I'm on the list for the navy one! And I thought the duck and lamb was cute but that donkey is going to be my favorite I think. Love you two!
Such a lovely episode this time. I’m super excited for the Vest KAL, and already have a pattern picked out! I also really enjoyed Corinne’s interview with Irina. It was fascinating to learn how The Woolly Thistle evolved over time. Congrats Corinne on all your success!
