- A children's hospital has been seriously damaged in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv by Russian strikes, as 24 people were killed across the country in an early morning barrage.
At least 10 people were killed in Kyiv by the rare daytime attack, including two who died at the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital, which sustained major damage during the blast.
Vitaliy Klitschko, Kyiv's mayor, said the bombardment was "one of the the worst attacks" on the capital since the start of the war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is visiting Poland where he is expected to sign a security pact, said Russia must face consequences for its attacks on civilians.

Did you say the same thing when Ukrainian ATACMS killed people on a beach in Crimea? It's obvious Ukraine did not aim at the beach and Russia did not aim at a children's hospital. Neither makes any military sense. The problem is when you start exchanging missiles things miss or are intercepted by air defence and exploded in unintended areas. War is brutal and innocent people die. Rather, than easy moral outrage (which is just repeated every time this happens ) the world needs to think about how to construct a peace which means compromise. When you get people discussing making Russian occupation of the Crimea unviable through missile strikes how do you they think Russia, who have far more missiles, are going to respond?

Looking at the children's hospital area it looks like a Ukrainian anti missile missile has fallen back to earth and hit the hospital.
A Hypersonic missile would make more damage. The whole block would be gone if it was a Russian missile hypersonic missile.
Why didnt the western media mention the equivalent situation on Trinity Sunday a couple of weeks ago when Ukraine sent Attacams missiles towards central civilian Sevastopol. Russian missiles shot down four out of the five missiles, unfortunately one was intercepted over a beach of sunbathing and playing families. Also this intercepted missile was of the fragmentation antipersonel type. The cluster fell on the beach killing and wounding some 120 plus Russian civilians.
No western newspapers or TV said this was a bad thing. No mention of it at all.
War is a disaster for all sides. We have to remember it was us; NATO America and worst of all our genius Boris Johnson who Biden sent to Kiev in March 2022 to convince Zelensky to cancel the outline Ankora peace agreement. Even Zelensky's right hand man David Arakhamia ,plus ex Israeli Prime minister Bennett who took part in the negotiations said it was a brilliant potential peace treaty generous to Ukraine.
But NATO and America wanted war to Crush Russia militarily and economically.
But our politicians know nothing but their own ego and Ukraine is being used to the last man and being totally destroyed for our fantasies. Too much has been committed and our politicians don't want us to find out what they have done so they double down on supplying more weapons in hope of a miracle. But Russia won when they defeated the Winter Spring finally Summer NATO Ukraine offensive.
Now Russia is edging westwards and is unstoppable. Russia will dictate terms now. Only a NATO tactical Nuke might stop them. But then we will have at the very least the end of Europe. America is not bothered if that knocks out Russia. It can then turn to make war with China using Taiwan and the Philippines is fodder this time.
