@@SkidMarksTheSpotMetalDetecting , I hear ya , I found a ring last friday that was silver with a little bit of 9k gold around the edge of the band, but its still gold. what a weird karat, but i looked it up, 37.5% purity lol

I actually heard Europe went with 9K during WWII due to the scarcity of precious metals. Most likely your ring would be from that era I’d say. Very cool!

It didn’t sound good on the detector at all. I walked past it. Noticed it by eye and started filming. The pinpointer barely recognized it as well. A bit scary, makes me wonder how many Ive missed
