Is anyone else amazed by Nick Moon as much as I am? His incredible knowledge, abilities and kindness wrapped up in a loving husband and father. What a Human! 💕
I'm very amazed by Nick and his knowledge in so many areas. I was very impressed when he he was helping to rebuild the old organ with Michael at Billy's convent. I don't know if all these brits knew each other in England, but they sure work well together. It doesn't seem like there's anything they can't tackle together.
Ryan, thank you for making everyone feel welcome in your video community. Not all of your viewers can give financial support but knowing that watching, liking and subscribing ( plus watching the ads) helps your channel means a lot.
Let's all do Ryan a huge favor and 'like', 'subscribe' and ring that bell as well as watching all the ads without skipping. This gives him revenue to finance the build. Great seeing the progress Ryan!
So the staircase was holding up the floors ,hence the slope and bodge works when last renovated, you need to use treated timber and spray what you want to keep.
Ryan, it’s so nice to see you twice this week! I’m so pleased you’re able to help Nick with his charity. Great to see the cleanup and now on to new construction, it’s really getting exciting. Can’t wait to see how you put it all back together, with new materials. Hoping everything goes smoothly for you.
Oh, wow, guys. Repairs are starting. Woohoo. Supplies have started being bought. New tools, too. Im so excited for you and Nick, and thankful that you're taking us along on the journey with you. ❤❤
Great progress!! Nick is an excellent mentor & the 2 of you act like family, which warms my heart. Love you, Ryan! Love ALL the Moons, of all species! From an old lady in Southern California.
Your staircase is going to be the only original feature in your house! Can you imagine what would have happened in a couple of year if you hadn't opened the floor? 🥶🥶🥶🥶 its a setback in time and money but it was really necessary.
Nick is Ryan’s savior on this project! I’m glad that the rather elegant staircase with its balusters and newel posts is safe and sound and doesn’t need to be destroyed.
Great to see work continue! I'm really eager to see that major beam get replaced, and start getting that floor back in, level and straight. Love the exposed staircase, and so happy to know it's still sturdy and straight. It looks so goid exposed, so graceful and elegant. Hope the work goes smoothly, Ryan!
@@GeorgeWalker-hg5yt well he doesn't have to take the as you stated "worm filled beams", maybe just maybe he would pick the best ones or Billy Petherick being a good friend would only save the good beams. Wouldn't hurt to ask Negative Nellie 😉
@@GeorgeWalker-hg5yt I'm fairly sure the suggestion was about the new timbers used to hold the plasterboard ceiling up, not the original oak joists above.
I was amazed at how much those joists have bowed and been eaten away. So glad you are replacing all of them, the house will make it for another couple of hundred years. You and Nick are wonderful together. Great friends are priceless and you have guide a few there with you in France. ❤️ from Texas.
Nick is such a good find for this project! His heart is so kind, and his expertise is so very valuable! It's a little hard to see Nick spending some precious time/energy doing some of the common grunt work in order to properly tidy and prep the space to be able to perform his magic. Of course i recognize Nick's important aid to Ryan's courage and companionship. Ryan, your behind-the-camera is great, and your demolition efforts are fun! You're doing a great job. Your struggle to pronounce the plural of the word "joist is funny!"
Ryan, the staircase shore-up was very interesting. Not anything i have any knowledge or experience with. I'm so glad Nick is there helping you. Cheers to you both.
Ryan you're so excited you can barely talk! And you're a smooth talker. Nick leveled that floor and I thought that's what we need in this world...more level headed people showing us the way.
So glad Ryan has Nick to help mentor him through this renovation. Ryan is a great guy but he's not skilled enough to do it all himself. I'm so thrilled he's getting the monetary support needed to get his first home done. Crack on, Ryan & Nick! 💚
As you were removing the bags of tonage, I could feel the building heave a huge sigh of relief to have all that weight removed. Thanks for sharing the journey with us. I look forward to each video!
I am blown away by Nick’s expertise. What a great friend he is but you deserve to have good friends Ryan because you are so generous with your own time as well.
I’m always amazed at people like Nick who seem to do know so much of everything! His a wealth of knowledge and just explains the situation so well. He’s just amazing. I need to catch up on his vlogs. I just finish catching up with Ryan’s. But Nicks family is, OMG! Such a beautiful family! Salt of earth kind of people! His kids are amazing! Real like kids, unspoiled and so willing to help and love their parents! ❤
I’m proud of you Ryan, you are stuck in and getting it done…and making friends with the neighbour…all is progress, well done boys. Seeing you two going forward soothes my broken heart a little. My beloved Husband died 16 days ago, after 48 years together. Our memories will have to be enough in time, but it all hit me too hard today. Thank you for bringing me hope in the future of your home, to help me until I find new hope of my own.🖤🇨🇦
I’m sorry for the loss of your husband and wish for these days get easier for you. I lost my mom who was 97 but still able to care for herself and in her own home. My brother was with her at the end and she died peacefully with him . Losing a loved one is never easy. I pray your memories have been happy and bring you comfort. Ryan and Nick are great to follow and bring joy too. The humor is infectious and have made me laugh often. Laughter is good for the soul.
@@ehpeachylove No day passed on which we didn’t tell each other we loved each other…in 48 years of Marriage. We had no regrets, and left nothing unsaid between us. I will get there, and happy channels like Ryan’s do help, so does gardening. One step at a time is my mantra. Thank you for your kind words.🖤🇨🇦
Wow! Quelle abondance having your post you and Nick. Held my breath as you guys jacked up the stair case! So relieved the stairs held. Very cinematic, the vid of the stairwell rising and the tiny rain of plaster. Ryan, kudos for the direction and music. Kudos Nick for your magnetic presence and calm, and know how! You two make a great team. This house needed you two to reacue it. Those stairs have so much character. Love the turned balasters!

Mr. Bean, cool. I live in the USA and it's hard to find it here. I played pool in a tavern where the pool table legs were on the floor on one end and cinder blocks on the other. Nice saw. New joisty thingies. Neat.
Ryan, you are blessed and I'm so proud of you to take on this huge project and learning so much. Much thanks to Nick for his expertise and positive attitude! We believe in you💕
Ryan, whenever you start questioning what you've gotten yourself into, just watch Laura Kampf. She definitely knows your pain discovering botched repairs!
I so enjoy these videos Ryan - and Nick. Wish they were hours long. You have such a great friendship and partnership. Hope all continues to go well or at least be manageable. Best wishes, Kate.
