These men were the voices of my life...my first concert in 1973 and will be the last sound that I want to hear on this earth as I cross the bridge to sing in heavens choir!!!
The Statler brothers are all American Treasures . We could sure use another group like these guy's to bring us all together in these un American like days.
They actually did a concert once wearing suits of red white and blue with the stars and stripes next to the lapels. The stage was also decked out in the stars and stripes. You're right. They are a national treasure. I'm way too young to remember when their first albums were released. I wasn't even born yet. Do I remember the things they sing about in Do You Remember These? Nope, but I still love the Statler Brothers! My mom went to see them in concert in 1981. The next morning she was still all red faced and giddy. I asked her what put her in such a good mood first thing in the morning. She said she was leaning up again the stage and right in the middle of a song Harold Reid walked up right in front of her, got down on his knees while he was singing, then leaned over and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She said "Good Lord he looked so handsome and sexy and smelled so good!".😂😂😂😂 I'm glad my mom had that experience. My dad wasn't a very good husband to her for 20 years and at that time she deserved to have someone be nice to her. ❤👍✌️
@@iluvdaguitar I remember all those things. That's awesome that your mom got to see them, let alone to have Harold give her a kiss. Harold was so cool that i would have let him give me a kiss on the cheek too. I'm sorry your mom was treated badly . and would tell her i'm sorry on behalf of all the good men that treat their better halves with love and understanding. There are a few real men left in this world. Peace IN
This album brings back so many good memories. This would play on repeat during the drive to hunting camp with my grandpa after my Friday night football game. Heading across the pass late at night, listening to the harmonies, takes me back…
I remember after my mom and dad divorced in 1980. She started seeing a guy about a year later and he took her to a Statler Brothers concert. She was still all giddy and red faced the next morning. I said "Wow, mom, you're in a good mood this morning!" She told me she was standing up against the stage and Harold walked right up to her, got down on his knees and gave her a kiss on the cheek right in the middle of a song. Man, she was in 7th heaven. She said "OMG he looks so sexy and smelled so good!" 😂 I'm glad my mom had that experience. She deserved it after 20 years of living with my father who didn't care about her one bit.
Have enjoyed them for many many years. Hate this was their last concert however will listen to them for many more years hopefully. Thank you for posting this video.
I saw them on stage as part of A Johnny Cash concert in The Baltimore Convention Center ; in 7th row. in the late 1960s'. (Before the Statler's came on Johnny Cash finished Orange Blossom Special, used a harmonica in each hand ; said I can change harmonicas faster then you can kiss a duck and through them into the audience One caught by someone in front of me). The Statler's, a tremendous talent and a tribute to America. It's times like this we are blessed with recordings so we can enjoy Real TALENT.
Awww they cut out the how old is Phil joke by Harold. I still remember hearing it when I was 6years old at the Capital Music Hall in Wheeling WV in 2002.
I grew up listening to these guys sing. The guitar player is with the new group Brothers of the Heart now. He also sings with the Bill Gaither Homecoming singers

The best quartet ever! Their music will live on because it is real and human. It still is as germane today as it was during their entire career.
That brought some tears as they sang Amazing Grace, I loved them.
*Country Legends* The Statler Brothers
Their Music Will Live On ForEver And Ever Amen..
*Their Harmony* ❤🥺
Loved all of the statler brothers music
