I grew up with this group playing pretty much all throughout my childhood, and I had forgotten all about that 2nd tenor's voice. Took me by total surprise.
Perhaps the greatest quartet ever! I love EVERY song that these wonderful men have recorded. There will never be another group like the Statlers. I cried when I heard that Harold had passed away.
I agree wholeheartedly. I've loved them for over 50 years now. Their music has been a part of my life and helped me get through so much. I miss them. I pray they will be rediscovered in this generation. I'll never forget them.
I was so lucky to see The Statler Brothers in San Antonio, Texas. At the time they were still the opening act for Mr. Johnny Cash. They became my very favorites that night. They were absolutely the very Best. 😊❤
The Statler's were and still are the best, I got to see them them in concert in Bakersfield, California. .I think it was in the 70s. My best friend and I used to go to Country Concerts. I have lost track of my best friend, she moved and later I was divorced and also moved away. I now live in Texas and wish I could find my best friend from those days.
Always has been and will forever be my favorite group!! First concert I saw was The Statler Brothers in Asheville, NC!! I’m so thankful I have that memory!! ❤
*chuckle I'm a Long time Statler Fan I met them and Johnny Cash way back when I was 6 yrs old. (1972) I am a Home Fry and one of the reasons is Home Free is the Vocal group that reminds me of the Statler Brothers. the Humor the Great Harmonies The way they Love each other and are so proud of each other HF and the Stats are some of the Best Human Beings that have ever Human Be-inged.
well shoot I forgot to mention HF has Story Time with Tim (Foust) he's their Bass and admits to being a Harold Reid Fan growing up. It must be a Bass thing to also be witty . Tim is every bit as good as Harold was with the funny.
No Auto Tune or Perfect Pitch. This is Real Music and Singing
