    Billiards of New Orleans,
    I purchased my first used pool table this afternoon and stumbled across your videos figuring out how I’m going to move it. Wonderful videos. Thank you so much! Ignore the haters.

    I don't know how but this week I was determined to give my pool table away to a neighbor across the street. The pool table in the video is almost exactly like mine except it's 40 and red felt. I told my neighbor to watch the disassemble video, he never knocked on my door to get it. Although I have the tools & time to chuck it, I am paying the local pool table business to give it a new home , everybody's happy. No body gets hurt.

    Hey good day my friend. I found your channel while searching for video guides on how to disassemble a pool table. My friend and I were looking for one to go in our boys weekend hangout spot. We found a really nice one on FB marketplace for free. 5 of us went there to take it apart and get it out of the basement. It took us 3 hours and lots of work. All I want to tell you is I’ve gained so much respect for you and your profession. It is no joke. Before this experience I had no idea what was involved in doing something like this. We got it done though but man we all were unanimous in the sentiment that this was tough. Thanks for all the insider information and helpful tips. Now I understand why so many people are giving them away for free, because they don’t want to pay or move them themselves!

    I'm guessing this is why my installer insisted on knowing how well I planned on maintaining the temperature within the pool room. Up here in Maine the heat is not an issue so much as the humidity, and of course the bitter cold. Great video! By the way--I started with the full length, but I had to cheat and ended up here. LOL

      It's ok that you cheated. That's exactly why I put up both videos.

    Would love to see a video on Brunswick Gold Crown 1 installation. Also addressing rubber replacement for GC1. Have heard that the rails or sub rails have to be modified. Some say yes and some say no. You do a fantastic job on the videos, please keep up the good work. Thank you

    I have a Valley Panther table, at this time, no model number. The table is new to me and an upgrade from my previous table. While the table was in play, someone noticed a 1/4" plus gap at one corner. Where the rails meet the lower frame. The other three corners do not have the gap. Is this an adjustment issue or a mechanical problem?
    Thanks for the videos.

    Thanks for sharing. Wish there were better shots of the mounting brackets for the pool table legs. We are getting a used Brunswick delivered tomorrow, didn't have the original legs and Brunswick doesn't have unfinished replacement legs. Had to stain some random oak legs myself, just not sure how I'm going to mount them yet.

    I don't understand why people just don't let professionals do this lol. If you buy a good table that's gonna last decades as long as it's maintained, why would you not want it set up properly?? 🤦🏾‍♂️ My dad always told me, "Buy once cry once."

    I am going to install new flooring in a game room and homeowners have a heavy pool table. How do you feel about pool table dolly's to move a 3 slate table in the same room only 6 feet from original location?

    • @CreativeRestorations
      @CreativeRestorations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good way of breaking off legs too. Unless your pool table is a coin-op.
      We had a customer in Mississippi that tried this very thing when part of her house caught on fire. They took that as an opportunity to remodel their house. And, in the process, replace the flooring as well. They bought a caster system that was supposed to be able to work with all types of pool tables. So, several of the contractors got together and lifted the table and put the caster dollies under it. Well, when they went to roll the table, something went wrong and they snapped off two of the legs.
      Even if they had managed to successfully put the table in another location and return it to its original location using the dollies, the table would not have been level. Not to mention, as I've said in other videos, home tables are not designed to be moved whole. Under the best of conditions, moving a pool table the correct way is hard and dangerous work. By cutting corners, you're just begging for something to go wrong. That's when people end up seriously hurt!

    So what's a average cost to move a table? My question is the average for sale tables are 600 to 1000, and like to know what it cost to move for a rough total cost estimate, thanks.

    • @CreativeRestorations
      @CreativeRestorations  ปีที่แล้ว

      The average is region specific. That average will vary depending on cost of living and other regional factors. I don't believe there are any data on the national average price of pool table moves. The only way to find out what the average is for your area is to call around and ask.
      Also, there are other job specific factors that would effect the price.

    Is there a way to email you. I was curious how old my Brunswick table was. I’m pretty sure it is 100 years old. Thought I could email you a pic of brass plate and table. If not that is ok. It has leather pockets with cardboard tubes that return the balls. Thanks

    Great video - how long do you wait for the Bondo to dry before attaching the felt? Thanks in advance.

    • @CreativeRestorations
      @CreativeRestorations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Depends on how much hardener you use in the Bondo. But, typically, it takes between 10 and 20 minutes.
      Oh, and cold weather extends that time.
      Usually, I'll mix up a bit more than I need. When the excess Bondo on the cardboard hardens, it's time to stretch cloth.
