I would argue that everfast was incredibly impactful. I mean as far as runeblade goes most decks use four or more cards from that set. I don't really know a class that isn't using a card from that set from the Commons to majestics. Even stuff is humble as Thunder Quake or Macho Grande to rain. Razors to the blue auras for illusionist even ninja with 100 wins ever everfest was incredibly impactful. It was just massively overprinted
I agree but those cards could have been filtered in via expansion slots. Anyway specifics aside. To say the expansion slot does the work of supplemental sets with much less chaff is valdi
@@SteelfurSpeaks those are highlights. Shrill of skill form is a common used in every deck basically. Runeblood incantation is a rare.... Same with macho Grande. They wouldn't print full cycles of Commons and rares in the expansion slot.
I love the 8 pack, 30 card deck setup It means you can actually build a deck with options, not just jam all your playables in a pile. Really think that’s a big win! Marvels in the last couple of sets have also really knocked it out the park!!
Great analysis! I agree with your assessments and conclusions. And I am glad you went into such depth on the subject. It was definitely warranted, not to mention a great listen!
Fab 3.0 came about when LSS expanded their team and development capabilities. By expanding their team they were really able to expalnd their productivity.
I think any one of those ideas would have been fun as the “strange hero” in a normal set eg enigma in MST but all three together made it feel too much to bite off for a lot of people.
I do wonder if Rosetta will parallel Bright Lights. All Arcane instead of all Mech. I notice it's approximately every 3rd set, where they initially planned a supplemental set but learnt players don't like those. I also wonder if they got enough dev time on Rosetta after seeing the Bright Lights' reception, or are the sets too close to each other to really pivot?
Fab proved me wrong. I thought it was going to die out after the second year. No desire to play a CCG and the game is a bit too min-maxy for me, but good for them. They've found their niche and capitalized on it.

FAB has aged like a fine wine. It gets better and better

Yeah 100% the new sealed format is 100% a win

Glad you enjoyed it!
Im too busy crying on twitter about Zen to listen but its probably a good video
Don’t touch my boy.

Exactly and you can really feel it.
Nice breakdown
Thanks!
@@SteelfurSpeaks Oh Yeah
I´m not a mech player, but I don´t get the Bright Lights hate. It was an ok set

I think they will be fine. :)
I think we heard about this all arcane set for more than a year now, I think we will be good.

@@razzendahcuben just keeps getting better tbh as the designers mature. Give it a try.
@@SteelfurSpeaks I've played it.
Skeleta was crucible of War, not arcane Rising
I agree, feels like a new direction
Also want to point out the ammount of product coming out, which is great
Well I don’t want too much either. 😅
