Nah I’ve played tonnes of Kano. Not really basing my idea of him being pushed on what we’ve seen but rather the fact that there are still loads of majestics and legendaries to come. Though what we have seen so far is decent. Sure some people can handle Kano. I just think that he presents an unfun experience that shuts down certain lines of game play and isn’t enjoyable. The devs clearly agree. There is a reason that you are seeing both wizards still use attacks rather than being entirely NAA focused.

How is kano inconsistent at high level?? If your opponent isn't zen level aggro then you can go pitchstack mode and kill many decks. If your opponent doesnt pack ab they die to many combos really fast. I agree if you play off the top only then it can be inconsistent but good kano players calculate what is the best play and can pilot the deck to get many wins. The 'inconsistency' is first 2 rounds of a bigger event where you can get an unlucky mu but that can happen to every deck

Kano is just one of those decks that "If they have it" then you ain't really doing much to fight back unfortunately, regardless on what you're on or brining.

I 100% agree that fab is hard to balance. You have to break the four card limit to enable decks to push but if you do it in a way that is too consistent or problematic then yhe decks stomp. It’s a real challenge. Both earth heroes are my jam.

Errata wise his ability putting the tiger in banish could be a slight ban but one that prevents him from getting "free" Art of Wars. Though don't believe that's the right way to handle any situation. I personally dislike erratas outside of digital games since already printed versions don't reflect the new text.

@@lxmueller2I’m 100% with you on the dislike of errata’s. But I think they could make a sweeping change that just puts all tigers in banish and then change tooth and nail to check banish zone. Or something. It would be a big change text wise but it would be easy player wise because a tiger would never be in hand.

The Tiger in Hand, while strong, is not what is making him relevant. It's the facte Traverse says "When you defend with this, at the beginning of your next action phase, create a Couching Tiger in your hand search your deck for a card with Combo, banish it. You may play that card that turn". Zen becomes a nearly different hero when you can't tutor out Chi. Having to draw into your power turns or set up your nuke turn becomes way harder if the deck is not starting with an extra 2 to 3 cards accessable at any time.

I agree with the best solution is Errating his Ability. It's bonkers... Especially with his chestpiece and Traverse giving him insane value to go with a Tutor. That way other Ninjas are not nerfed and other Mystics are not nerfed in order to fix the problem. If he is Tiger themed then perhaps the solution is his Chi creates a Tiger then gives Tigers buffs for the turn. If you want to keep the tutor then force him to work for it and allow a skilled opponent the opportunity to interfere/stop the tutor. Much like Nuu where here ability is super powerful BUT the opponent can play around it to try in minimize it's potential power (and some decks just laugh at Nuu's ability)

Welcome! Victor has changed a lot in the last few months so I would recommend checking out some more recent decks. There is also a new card called “visit the Goldmane estate” that is very good in him. Not sure about any guardian specific TH-cams though I’m afraid.

Yeah exactly. That’s kinda the problem fab faces. If you can’t put out those values at some point you can’t win.

Id recommend picking up one of the new armory decks. Or finding your local game night and seeing what format they play the most

@@Lootaful exactly. I pay a gym membership and that’s it. I get TCGs are an expensive hobby but it’s becoming kinda impractical for me. And I’m on a decent knowledge worker salary. Like part of my logic for selling classes is that I never play them but a big part is just not wanting to buy those cards. I’ve quite enjoyed the power in MST but I definitely agree when the game goes against you it can be tricky.

@@SteelfurSpeaks Yeah like after insurance, gas, food, rent. I pay for Netflix, Spotify, a gym, and then if FAB. I know some people may say to cancel Netflix and Spotify but in the grand scheme $20 a month isn't whats doing me in and am I not supposed to enjoy my life? Just be a good little worker bot for the Capatlist Overlords? It's sad that with two degrees I make more bartending than using them and a lot of companies I've worked at where I need a degree to be hired have very little to no upward movement career wise. Add to that most of these jobs were contract based and pay very little. And before somebody says I shouldn't have gotten a degree in underwater basket weaving or whatever I have a chemistry degree. Part of it may be being in a HCOL area, but while barely surviving living at home how am I supposed to leave to a new area to start over when jobs are quite scarce. And the new area won't have the family support system in place.

@@theipc3383 yeah I do agree. I think at one point I speculate that you should ban something anyway because he gate keeps a lot of decks and if you do that Nuu drops as well

@@SteelfurSpeaks Just ban his common boots to make the Art of War turns just a bit less consistent is what I’d be shouting for. If you increase the odds of him having turns that are a bit more awkward or at least less explosive then that opens things up a bit. Letting Enigma back in the environment in any meaningful way would put the brakes on Nuu too. Of course it’s possible that the meta will continue to adapt to him and a few more decks that can slow him down will emerge. I’m very much enjoying the current environment but I just hope it becomes less “deal with Zen” and whether that comes through LSS bans or player adjustments I don’t mind 😀

@@theipc3383 Yeah for sure the boots would be a very small change with big impact. Though we do also have Rosetta on the horizon and only Amsterdam between there and here. So maybe they don't mind if they think that set will address Zen

I think any one of those ideas would have been fun as the “strange hero” in a normal set eg enigma in MST but all three together made it feel too much to bite off for a lot of people.

@@ngonimutezo6670 it’s 100% worth it. Grab some blitz decks and test it with a mate. If you like the core loop the high level game play has loads more depth and is very rewarding.

Also cause there is no rotation on a set schedule a lot of your cards end up being playable in some form for a long gime

Ngl a lot of my value placed on limited is looking at both the bottom and the top tables. Also I just can’t stand behind a format where the 100% correct strategy is to hate draft nullrune and induction chamber breaks the format. 😂

I agree but those cards could have been filtered in via expansion slots. Anyway specifics aside. To say the expansion slot does the work of supplemental sets with much less chaff is valdi

@@SteelfurSpeaks those are highlights. Shrill of skill form is a common used in every deck basically. Runeblood incantation is a rare.... Same with macho Grande. They wouldn't print full cycles of Commons and rares in the expansion slot.
