This is the coolest looking EV i've seen so far! Every angle is mean, but it doesn't look too outlandish.
I think its because this car has a front that doesn’t look like a rc car shell and screams eletric , it looks like a real car, has a “front grill” and stuff
I like it but the rear light bar is to much thiccness for me.
In terms of aesthetics I'm a little Porsche fanboy, that's why I like the Taycan slightly more, but the e-tron gt rs still is a great looking car and I can understand everybody who prefers it over the Porsche.
Especially for an EV it's really nice, because it seems like many other carmakers are just trying to get a lot of battery and power into their car and give it some poor futuristic look. They treat it like it's not a car, more like a smartphone, with a shitty look and interior, but the e-tron seems different.
That's the beauty of Audi design. Stylish and clean

The car is beautiful, but I will NEVER buy one. 230 mile range? Seriously? I wouldn't buy a gas car with a 230 mile range and gas is everywhere and minutes to fill. Also, the range lie. I have a plug in hybrid with an advertised range of 30 miles and I have never achieved 30. 25.7 was my closest. No AC, No heater (which kills range worse) helped achieve that milestone. Anyway, get me closer to 400 miles and I will kick the tires. Until then, a useless beautiful car to me...

Best looking...sure but how about the best reliable charging stations? Tesla lets you know if a nearby station is functioning or even occupied. With EV`s during this decade, the software is more valuable than looks.

I hate that it's fake. Sure, it sounds cool, but at the end of the day it's artificial, just a track being played from some speakers. I understand that EVs are silent and cars have to make noise when in motion for pedestrians, but I don't like the way that noise is generated at all. I'd prefer noise that is actually generated by a mechanical process that is necessary for the functioning of the car outside of regulation, though that's probably not going to happen with EVs.

I like it a lot. It always kind of annoyed me that everyone developing an electric car thinks that you have to reinvent the wheel. This is just a "normal" RS car except that it is electric and I think it works out absolutely great.

@@mamadouaziza2536 ever seen a Tesla from the inside? Basically every electric car interior has identity issues because it really wants to be a smartphone and smartphones have no buttons or dials, so of course the car can't have buttons or dials.
Have you seen the iD3 from the inside? I sat in one and was scratching my head thinking why didn't they just give it the interior similar to a Golf or Passat? All these new gen cars wanna look unique but in reality they are as bland as it gets and the screen is basically saying "I can do absolutely everything... but poorly"

All new modern cars whether electric or gas, now have multiple screens in them.. There is nothing bland about the Taycan, i3, eTron, iPace, Polestar 2, new Nissan Leaf, Model S and Model Y, iX, i4, 2021 Fiat 500e, Honda e, Lucid Air Dream, Rivian, Hummer e, Mach e.

Nice to see Audi isn’t overloading their steering wheels with buttons like mercedes has been. Also nice that the lower touch screen is back to physical buttons. Smudged screens just isn’t pretty to look at

And yeah, I agree with you there. The control dial was an elegant system that worked well without being overly complicated. This is just "innovating" for the sake of it.
Like Chuck Norris, Doug can drive any car with his left foot. However, in addition he can do that while calculating his Doug Score counting on his finger tips.
The sunroof is a free option that you can choose if you do not want to have the carbon fiber roof. So saying it has no sunroof during the features list is a bit misleading.
If you watched it he stated that he believes it is going to be an option but that this specific car he reviewed was optioned with a carbon roof instead.
And if you're referring to the doug score portion, he has always stated that the doug scores are based specifically on the individual car he reviewed, not the model in general.

The sunroof delete thing is considered a feature in itself. It’s for the racetrack for better performance and headroom for your helmet.

I love, love, love the exterior design. Very tasteful from Audi. That said, the interior kinda let me down. I think maybe I’ve just become conditioned to minimalist interiors, notably Model 3. But very good. But at $140k, you’re probably not buying this beauty to save the planet....

BMW has lost the plot, but I think the upcoming Mercedes EQS is really good looking too.
BMW has gone off the grid except for the 5 Series, lesser 3 Series (330i and M340i), and 8 Series. Mercedes models still look good, but I think the W222 S Class looks better than the W223. Audi, however, look better the newer they are.
this car isn't the holy grail either. The front& back are weird. The back-side has also this out of nowhere linrle/edge which ends in the middle of nowhere again.
Look at the rs7 and the side-line is much better

Calling this car's styling understated is a bit of an overstatement.
compared to a Taycan. F40 is understated when you compare it to a Zonda.

I'd say the Taycan has more minimalistic design elements but it looks more like a sports car compared to the Audi. I guess the Porsche would draw more attention in public but I wouldn't call the Audi understated either.
This car's base chassis is basically the taycan, from the seats to the rear seats, frunk, and the rear trunk. Even the bench of the rear seats and the charge ports and the ventilation, foot wells, etc.
Hands down, this is the best LOOKING EV out there. I know that it's my opinion, but it's TRUE!!! And, I love the buttons for various things instead pretentious iPads/ tablets sitting randomly like a tv over a fireplace.
