At 16 years old i can say that Dennis Banks is one of my biggest inspirations. He came to my school today and shared his experiences in stories and sang a very beautiful song. Moments like my interaction with this great man makes me feel proud to be Native American

YEEEEEEEEES! This is why I love Abby Martin soo much, ever since she was on RT with Breaking the Set, and she did a special two part special report on the plight of Naïve Americans, my respect for her went through the roof. thank you Abby for covering the Jim Crow, the colonization, and the apartheid on steroids Native Americans continue to face. It is greatly appreciated.

I am so grateful for the native people leading the way for saving this planet... who better to do it. It warms my heart to see you all unite this way, and to see that you still hold onto your culture and your traditions these days. I have always loved the native people of this country.

We've been brought up learning how to pray for Life, the second thing is taking care of our Mother, Mother Earth because she does and gives us everything that we need in order to sustain our lives. Those are the two topics that we are raised up as Native People throughout this entire Western Hemisphere North and Southern continents! As Europe was destroying themselves mainly because of the English of Great Britain's greed or insanity or both, this entire hemisphere was living within the Laws of Nature even if we had our respected battles due to territories for hunting, fishing and gathering of foods that when the europeon people came here they didn't remove the fear they brought with them like the other diseases that came with them that continues to infect society today. We lived within the laws of the land, a Earth and Sky.

I don't know where im going to find someone to help me. the money of mine that im owed I need a little help with because it weighs more then I could move in a day and night by myself. seriously its so heavy it could break my back if I tried to drag it in one sack. I can think faster then I could ever speak, youd be surprised at the things that I still haven't said. I do it legit. I don't ever want tgo steal. I couldn't live with the guilt if I did, id confess right away to get it off my chest.

they say to me "prove it" and I say I already did if they missed it when I proved it then that's their problem. I say well then make me prove it again because you should of paid attention last time I did. and they know that I don't have to prove to them when they remember like I do exactly what they did. right now im in a position and attacked by so many people that were supposed to be my allies that im stuck wondering why the people that were my allies forgot that they were? and it looks to be that they saw my money and they couldn't help but betray their own best interest. when they steal from me they steal even more from themselves. I solve problems. ive proven that. the biggest problem I have today is that im surrounded by so many others that cant figure out how to solve them theirselves and its hard to keep laying it out to far ahead when people that act like their smart still don't act smart when its time to move, they get stuck on stupid and don't see that their on stupid they try acting real smart they may think, but when general smith says its time to roll those who refuse to get up and go might just have my guys marching in back put a bullet in their heads so they don't let the enemy know which way I went. if they just sit nrefusing to roll then they wont move and get caught and tortured til they talk. so a bullet to the head might be the kindest gift that allah ever sent. it depends on if its time to move or not. and right now I garentee it is or im taking another species with me in the future and carving it into stone now so when they read it they'll know its their time to roll . either way im going as far as I can. it be better if you refuse to move then to let me take my money to the next nation of people. when I take it though then it all is going even if I have to come back with the whole world to get it.

Ideally mankind is supposed to improve over time and make advances in society, but what happens here is we repeat the travesty done to the Native American people. They had at one time all of North America and existed as one with nature, so now we want to invade them again and destroy what little they were given to subsist upon.
I recall reading somewhere a Native American’s response to a woman that said it was shameful what happened to the Indians, but what were the Indians really doing with the land anyway?
He explained how ironic it was for her to ask that question in a town that had a river so polluted by industry that it could actually ignite if subject to ashes from cigarette smoking.
If these nations claiming to be “beacons of civil liberties and democracy” could just simply emulate cultures like the Native American that only killed what they needed, did not hoard, prayed over the transitioning spirit of which they as a community successfully hunted down to satisfy community needs, had the women of the tribe participate in selecting the chief, made peace with their neighboring tribes, and lived in harmony with nature, those nations would have much more “light” to offer the world that could inspire actions to help make the planet a better not crueler place.

actually they should take a page from Canada. Fix the broken treaties..shit Canada kept some of the treaties with the Natives and even educate people on Native people and Culture..we still hunt and live off the Land like our Ancestors did too, it's part of our Treaty..Just because Americans tried to kill and wipe out Natives in America doesn't mean they did the same in Canada..so sick of people talking about Natives and overlook Canada..believe it or not there are way more full Natives in Canada compare to America..people with Mix blood are known as Metis some of them look white but they have their own Language and Culture mixture of European and Native Culture. as soon as you say I am part Native in Canada The Natives will assume you are Metis. been Native in Canada means you are Born into it not take a test and say I am part Native like they do in America.

    • @justathought973
      @justathought973 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I am Metis, one has too do their gemology before they're recognized as a Metis by the Metis Society. Mine was easy as Peter Fidler was my 5th great grandfather and my last name is Fidler. The last name Fidler/Fiddler is recognized as a Metis by the Metis Society, when I first called the Metis society here in Vancouver to get recognized, I told the guy on the phone my last name and he said "Oh, that's a real Metis name right there" lol My great grandfather was born in 1880 and died in 1981 when I was 17 so we learned a lot about our family history through him and other elder Fidlers/Fiddlers. Both of my parents were recognized as Metis by the Metis Society but I still had too bring in my gemology to be recognized as Metis.

Rebecca Ross No Rebecca, it's not propaganda, but Truth. In May 2009, I walked into my local reservation smoke shop to buy my carton of Native cigarettes and discovered that ALL the native American girls who prior had managed the cash registers in the store were gone and replaced by WHITE MEN. I'd been going to that shop for 5 years, so I knew it was out of the ordinary. Come to Albuquerque, New Mexico and I will show you.

Instead of whining about this pipeline, which is needed because most all of America's current pipelines are old, having been built in the late 40's and 50's, leak. these old lines leak and are the cause of a number of ruptures, especially when try to push that heavier more toxic tar sand crude oil through that old pipeline system at higher pressures. The new line is needed, but does it need to go through Indian land? probably not. But just consider the new line safe, and instead, concentrate efforts to regain 1868 treaty land that was illegally taken.

DEPLORABLE! This dude Banks in so many decades of Activism STILL has not learned to speak publicly.
Never said anything Coherently. Never finished a sentence or thought. He would start a sentence and change to another in the middle, or drift all over the place w seemingly random words, Never saying anything concisely..........
No wonder they never get anything done. This AIM Org. Should have some members take classes in Public Speaking, Speech writing, Argumentation & Debate or/and at least join "Toast Masters"
    Eloquence level=1 in 10 scale

You didn't know this man personally. You speak about something you know nothing about. When you stand outside the circle, you don't know the fine truth inside it. Do not speak about a soul, a warrior you know nothing about. You do harm to yourself.
