    Great suggestions. I have made the Rhea top three times. I love it. Congratulations on your weight loss. I love your bright fabrics. Your style rocks.

      I've only made the Rhea once and I think I just didn't use a good quality fabric because I didn't love the top - but it is TOTALLY my style, so I know I would love it if I used the right fabric. Now you've got me thinking about it again - so I need to make it up soon 🤣. Thanks so much for watching!! 💕

    This was a very timely video for me, so glad I found you. I’ve bought quite a few Style Arc patterns and haven’t gotten around to making them yet, but I’m about to start on my first one. I really appreciate you showing not only the line drawings on the pattern but also the actual garment being worn and your review of the patterns was really helpful, so thanks for that. I agree that their instructions are very basic but fortunately I have been sewing for decades so I don’t expect too many problems. I live in South Australia so I can order the multi sized printed pattern which I prefer because I am then able to marry a couple of sizes to get a better fit. By the way there is a Style Arc TH-cam which shows how to put the bodice together on the Montana dress with all seams enclosed inside the lining. Worth watching! Thanks again, have subscribed xx

    Wonderful video. Style Arc is one of my favorite pattern companies. I've made several of the ones you've mentioned here. The Emmy dress I've made 3, all in linen, the Ethel top is one of my all time favorite tops. I'm definitely interested in the Yvette dress, looks like a great style. I'm currently wearing the Sussex daily until January. I love wovens and classic pieces and SA fits the bill on both.
    Feel free to do more videos on the rest of your SA patterns. 🤩❤️ They have so many great designs and there's really something for everyone among their collection. I love your fabrics. I could build a capsule wardrobe with only SA patterns and be very happy! Great video and I appreciate the news about the sale. Happy sewing!

      Oh I bet your Eme dresses in linen are beautiful! I'm excited to make the Ethel I think I will have lots of fun with that one! I recall. you saying you were wearing the Sussex daily - I still think that's amazing! I could probably build a wardrobe with just SA patterns as well 😊

    Thank you Michelle. Have made a couple of StyleArc things. Wide leg trousers from a thrifted pink pure linen duvet cover. Never wore them because of the colour 😂😂 (Clare Pant). Then a shirt dress, brown with white polka dots - kidding myself that it would fit. Still hanging in the wardrobe. Love it and will wear it with white tee and white jeans I expect . (It’s the Monty Shirt &Dress). Also I did a toile of the Lacey Dress in yucky grey tee shirt fabric. If I remember correctly it was quite nice

    Love Style arc, they of all companies have fit me out of the gate, which is unusual so I’ve bought a bunch over the years. That Ethel top? Finish the bottom edges of the armholes, they leave those raw and not enclosed in any facing, I was caught after, it’s one of the very last things. But I liKed it, and yes, lengthening would be a good idea. Just an fyi. Loved the style lines, was ripe for color blocking.

    Hi Michelle! The Laura Leggings may have been the first Style Arc pattern I used, and I'm still wearing those first ones 😁I've got the Blair pattern, and the top I started I didn't finish - bad fabric. I put you on pause so I could go grab the pattern and put it with some linen-ish that I'm trying to decide on. I was on Amazon and they have the Monty shirtdress which is the one I'm most interested in atm. Thanks for your review!

    Great vlog. I love Style Arc they fit with very little alterations. My most recent make is the Millicent x2. Love love this dress. I’m buying from Australia as I live in NZ. Postage is expensive but not as expensive as printing pdf s. I’ve got the Joan in my cart also the Francesca blouse. I’m not a fan of raglan sleeves on my body, they are not very flattering on me and tend to make me look dumpy as well as being very uncomfortable. You reminded me about the Emerson might have to add this😊

      You might be better off with patch pockets. If I remember correctly, the pockets in the pattern are in seam, right? If so, that's why they are so far back - that seam is not in the right spot for pockets. Of course, maybe I made the wrong size LOL?!?!? Good luck! It's a cute jacket despite the pocket placement 😊

    Just watched this today. Love the shirt you have on, looks fabulous on you and makes me smile. This was a great review of Style Arc and the patterns that you sewed. Honest review of likes and dislikes. I purchased a few of their patterns at the end of last summer and hope to make them for this spring & summer. Mostly dresses which I hope to wear more of this year. Funny how the measurements work on most and then one does not, don’t get it. There are no garment fabric stores in my area and a very limited Joann’s. Wish some of the quilting stores would carry more garment type fabrics. I do purchase quite a bit from Fabric Mart and had very good luck with the quality. Nothing of interest right now which is disappointing. I also would like to look into your ice dying. A many shades of blue would work for me. Thanks for a great discussion! ❤ 23:08

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much Kathleen - I had so much fun making that shirt! I don't have any garment fabric stores in my area either...it's so disappointing. And Joann just rarely has what I'm looking for. I haven't had a ton of luck with Fabric Mart - a little, but it's inconsistent for me so I tend to stay away from them for the most part. But I know a lot of people love them! They do have great customer service :). A shades of blue ice dye fabric would be beautiful! I'm doing a top in shades of green at the moment!!

    So far I have 9 SA patterns. They are kind of expensive though (maybe because I’ve only bought them from Amazon) 🤷🏻‍♀️so far I’ve only started making one The Evie knit top 🤣(I just started learning how to sew with knit) so basically all my SA patterns are easy.
    I have two SA’s in my cart. So I’ll have to get those. One is the Lacey kids dress for PDAG.

    Style Arc really do have some fabulous patterns. I will be making the Parker Ponte pants this year and I want to try out one of their tops to see how they fit me. Thank you for sharing your list - you have a few really cute ones on there! 💞

      Look at the finished garment measurements - SA adds a lot of ease (usually, not always) to their garments and I know you prefer a more fitted top. Other than that - I'm usually very happy with their patterns!

    Great video, thanks! I have quite a few Style Arc patterns and some that overlap with yours but so far have only made 2... the Adeline and the Maude. I LOVE the Adeline and made it three times, although one of my makes got too large so I donated it. I still wear the other two... both tie dyed. The Maude? So awful I sent it on, unfinished, to my daughter who wanted to try it... She also had an absolute "UGH!" reaction so we don't even have the partially put together garment any more. With this sale I bought the Rona Wrap Skirt and the Betty. I got the Ines included free but don't see myself making it. The Betty is upstairs on my cutting table being taped together... and I just finished taping together the Elani Tunic which I bought a while back. I'm trying to work my way through my (way too many) shirt patterns and recently made 5 using 4 (not Style Arc) patterns... I'm planning on making the Elani and the Betty next. I've bought from amazon and enjoy getting the patterns already done, but they don't have the Rona. The monthly freebie if you buy on their site is a plus if it's something you want. Your makes are all adorable... and so "you"... bright and cheery.

    I took my chance to look at your Trello. Thank you! Can you please Film a vlog about the App. As a collector of patterns I did quite well over the last years. But now my fabric stash has grown recently and I’ve heard about the option of parting fabric and patterns in the app. I love your shirt, these colours!

    • @MichelleSewsAgain

      I've been using Trello for a couple of years. I've done a video on how I use it for both my patterns and my fabric stash. I have not tried to pair fabric and patterns in the app. There is a newer app out that allows you to do that - it's called Stash Hub. It sounds like a great app but I've already got everything loaded in Trello so I haven't switched over. Trello is a free app and Stash Hub has a small monthly fee. Those that are. using Stash Hub really love it though! You should check out both and see which one would suit your needs better 😊

    I bought one pattern from Styl Arc, it's Parker Ponte Pants. I made them out of red ponte and love them. They are a little on the small size so I don't wear them out. The only think I don't like about Style Arc is you don't get a large range of sizes when you buy a pattern. My measurements put me in several different sizes.

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lots of people have bought the Parket Ponte Pants - I need to go check them out on IG and see some different versions. SA has different ways you can buy the patterns. Most of the time they are in a smaller or larger pack, either 0 - 18 or 16 - 30. I'm finding I'm kind of in the middle of the two packs these days - so that's a little frustrating. But if you choose to buy the single size, they only give you that size plus the one on either side (one size up and one size down). When I was leaning more toward the size 22, 24 I felt like the sizes I got in my pack were really good. I guess it just depends on which option you go for??

    I have been wanting to try a style arc pattern. Thanks for sharing this code! I did the math. I want the Hope and Montana and BOTH expansion patterns too and printed in multiple sizes. $45.87 US from Style Arc with a shipping fee included. Amazon gave free shipping, $47.39 US and delivery is Aug 1. Style Arc is coming across half the planet so I chose Amazon. $1.52 difference. Great deal for 4 patterns with so many options. I hope the instructions are not as bad as everyone says. I also hear the pockets for the Hope dress is the best method. What do you think about their instructions and their pocket method? And Amazon sells these from Style Arc so they are still getting a purchase 😁

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for doing the math! Definitely seems like it's worth it to go with Amazon if you are US based. It's been quite a while since i made the Hope dress but I don't recall their instructions being difficult for that one. I think you'll like it! Can't wait to hear about your experience!

    Thanks for the rundown on your style arc makes. I have a question about your ice dyeing. I have done lots on tshirts and other white garments. I taught school so I would do it with the children. What fabric do you use for your garment ice dyes? Woven and knit? I think I will give it a try as I do enjoy the effects.TIA

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have ice dyed both woven and knit fabrics. You just have to make sure that they are at least 80% natural fibers or the procion dye won't "take". I prefer to get as close to 100% natural as possible, which is easier on wovens than knits. Sometimes I dye the whole piece of fabric then cut out the pattern pieces, sometimes I cut the pattern pieces then dye them, and sometimes I make the whole garment then dye it. Just depends on my mood or the look I'm going for 😊. Good luck!
