Wasn't meowscular chef the Admiral's palico when he was still hunting? The admiral can go toe to toe with a rajang barehanded. Imagine how strong meowscular is.

I was never fooled, in order to be able to just put a leaf or a chef hat into a chicken leg and look smug about it while your disciples are staring in awe means that the guy knows exactly what he's doing and probably has decades of experience
I mean in a lot of restaurants the head chef isn't actively cooking most the time, at least not for most meals, as it's their job to make sure the restaurant or at least kitchen is running at peak efficiency, while they manage the ingredients and menus. that said, you don't become head chef of of a successful restaurant if you don't know your shit

Hands down the coolest shit I’d ever seen when I played this. Even the fact that the game does the delicious meal justice by your character absolutely devouring it and thanking the cat at the end, oh man:
Man Capcom should just open a Monster Hunter themed restaurant, and have a replica of these kinds of areas. Sure they wouldn’t be as profitable as pachinko machines, but would sure as hell be more popular, and appreciated.
I always wondered, why the meals were so goddamn big in this game, but then I realized that the player character burns probably ungodly amounts of calories just doing their job.
Besides amazing ecosystems and incredible graphics, not to mention massive monsters that most likely are more than big enough to straight up eat you, seeing these Felynes cook practically 5 star dishes is not what I expected! I love it!
Considering these monster hunters regularly perform feats of superhuman abilities, I would imagine their appetite (to sustain their muscle mass) would also exceed that of normal humans. So eating a veritable buffet at a single sitting would actually be expected from a certain point of view.
Notice how Meowscular chef stands back and watches the other cats cook during the first two platters and then adds a finishing touch. It's like he is a teacher who is watching and examining his apprentices' food. It's only when the third platter is ordered does he cook it himself and show them how it is done. Now that is a good example of show don't tell.

I'll be honest, after having the full kitchen for a while I kinda prefer the second cooking scene. The head chef finally stepping in for the whole process is great, but there's just something about a squadron of synchronized pepper-grinding cats ending with the chef doing a comically small finishing touch.
I really like World’s cooking scenes, because it went from ‘uhm, his underlings are doing all the work....’ to ‘son, you just didnt deserve MY cooking’. Lol
I feel like I would need to take a nap after the amount of food your Hunter eats. Then I realized just how many calories they must burn killing and capturing monsters... And now I am hungry!
Imagine there is a different animation and/or look to the different platters, like the all fish is literally just a bunch of seafood and the veggie platter is actually a salad with cooked veggies on the side with fruits (cause some of the in game veggie ingredients are fruits) and top it all off with some wine as a beverage.
