    FILM DESCRIPTION:
    Ex-FBI agent Will Graham (Edward Norton) is an expert investigator who quit the Bureau after almost losing his life in the process of capturing the elusive Dr. Lecter (Anthony Hopkins). After a series of particularly grisly murders, Graham soon realizes that the best way to catch this killer, known as the Tooth Fairy, is to find a way to get inside the killer's mind. For Graham, that means confronting his past and facing his former nemesis, the now-incarcerated Lecter.

      @viewtiful1doubleokamihand253 4 ปีที่แล้ว +65

      Sky I read the book. Francis’ not weak at all. The guy is a walking muscle mass. That is kind of a point, because the Dragon on his back is made to look alive due to the movement of his back muscles.
      Dollarhyde is even introduced in the book by a girl apologizing to him for her boyfriend who made fun of his lip (I think it was his deformed lip, at least. Maybe his manner of speaking, which is affected by that lip surgery), which kinda means that he’s not at all a weak-looking guy. Nobody apologizes to weaklings.
      Additionally - his mental issue doesn’t at all jeopardize his serial killer antics. If you try to investigate his personality and modus operandi you can see that he gets caught not because of his mental issues and the error he makes because of it, but the cunning of the investigators and, funnily enough - his compassionate side that let’s him befriend a blind woman who he feels kinship towards.

    the contrast/difference in the physical strength/prowess is aptly shown between the characters of Graham & Dollarhyde in Michael Mann's Manhunter (1986)...of course based on the same book (Red Dragon)...

    Watched this in a packed theatre in high school with a friend. When PSH flys down the hill in the wheelchair on fire we were absolutely HOWLING with laughter. Everyone around us was shocked and appalled, getting shushed left and right. 😂.

    As much as I browse through the comparisons between Manhunter and this one with each having it's own signature style of the respective directors...can't help but wonder on the music & background score...surely Red Dragon scores brownie points here...
