Heartbreaking, woke up one day and it's 20+ years later... I still see and hear the people that were close to me in the 90's... Like Jeff says, we search for old memories.
When I was in third grade (1998) my brother, father and I went to a Savage Garden concert. It was my first concert and Billie Myers was the opening act. As she was singing this song it started raining! She walked out into the aisles to the nosebleeds (where we were) and we got to see her up close! It was so cool and the best concert I’ve ever been to. We were so excited. 3 years after that, my brother passed away from cancer at age 21. This was played at his funeral. 22 years later and this song still chokes me up. It’s tied to one of the happiest times of my life and one of the saddest. Love you Soren, rest easy big brother.

this song hits me in so many ways. I was very young when I first heard this on the radio, had no idea what it meant, just liked the tune as a kid. listening to the lyrics now as an adult, and just getting out of a relationship where I clearly cared more than the other person, with that nostalgia added to it, it just crushes me. really glad to have found this again right now. just hits that exact right nerve.

+Darren Davenport Lol...what I meant was that today's standards require sound to be more crisp, more modern sounding than it was in the nineties...On a technical level I mean...And this song remains "in", it needs maybe just an HD remastering but definitely holds its place melody-wise. But yes, in general, nowadays songs this good are rare.
A classic tune from the good ole '90s! This particular tune is so heartwarming and feel all nostalgic to hear it on a rainy cold night 👌💥 The melody and the mtv seems like just being produced yesterday despite several decades has been leaving us - the era was filled with timeless song, fantastic vocals, incredible lyrics and on top of it is the versatility of genres to listen about on radio, every single week! I remember paying attentions to charts, waiting for the release day, fanzine, cut out clips from newspapers, posters in magazines....can't wait till 'Rick Dees chart' comes on air! Nowadays, things looks so much easier, but the quality has been degrade drastically. Oh, the irony! Thanks for nice teenage years back then - and here is me contemplating... cherishing the era that would never going to be ever happening again. Everything was simpler

That BRIDGE tho! That guitar solo sends chills down my spine! I was 16 living in Venezuela and this song was topping the charts for literally months! What a great time to be alive! This song is definitely a master piece and forever part of the soundtrack of my life! Absolutely brilliant!
This song makes me sad and reminisce of the years past and the failed relationships. Whilst I believe everything happens for a reason I still find myself thinking of the good times before
I wish I was in my 20s/30s throughout the 90s so I could've of appreciated the music more. Alas I was a kid. Songs like this bring back such happy memorys
What a song to listen too when we are stuck in lockdown, I guess when it’s lifted we will be kissing the rain, great song and even though it’s 23 years old, still fresh to listen too

There's a laughter on the line
Are you sure you're there alone?
Cause I'm

Why don't you

Go outside
Kiss the rain
Whenever you need me
Kiss the rain
Whenever I'm gone, too long.
If your lips
Feel lonely and thirsty
Kiss the rain
And wait for the dawn.
Keep in mind
We're under the same sky
And the nights
As empty for me, as for you
If ya feel
You can't wait till morinin'
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain
Hello
Do you miss me?
I hear you say you do
But not the way I'm missin' you
What's new?
How's the weather?
Is it stormy where you are?
Cause you sound so close but it feels like you're so far
Oh would it mean anything
If you knew
What I'm left imagining
In my mind
In my mind
Would you go
Would you go
Kiss the rain
And you'd fall over me
Think of me
Think of me
Think of me
Only me
Kiss the rain
Whenever you need me
Kiss the rain
Whenever I'm gone too long
If your lips
Feel hungry and tempted
Kiss the rain
and wait for the dawn
Keep in mind
We're under the same skyes
And the nights
As empty for me, as for you
If you feel
You can't wait till morning
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain

Listening to this in 2015! What a beautiful song, even by today's standards!
ESPECIALLY by today's standards.
+Steve Celestino still listening september 9 2015
+Steve Celestino There are still standards for music today?
todays standards??? lol you mean lack of standards!
+Darren Davenport
Lol...what I meant was that today's standards require sound to be more crisp, more modern sounding than it was in the nineties...On a technical level I mean...And this song remains "in", it needs maybe just an HD remastering but definitely holds its place melody-wise.
Pretty much sums it up. I concur!
Ay up😂🎉
Rick Dees and the weekly top 40 what ever happened to Rick anyway
"Keep in mind we're under the same sky"🌙
Man, that part hits me every time...
Me too 😢🙏

Hello
Can you hear me
Am I getting through to you
Hello
Is it late there
Is there laughter on the line
Are you sure you're there alone
'Cause I'm
Trying to explain
Something's wrong
You just don't sound the same
Why don't you
Go outside
Kiss the rain
Whenever you need me
Kiss the rain
Whenever I'm gone too long
If your lips feel lonely and thirsty
Kiss the rain
And wait for the dawn
Keep in mind
We're under the same sky
And the night's
As empty for me as for you
If you feel
You can't wait till morning
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain
Kiss the rain
Hello
Do you miss me
I hear you say you do
But not the way I'm missing you
What's new
How's the weather
Is it stormy where you are
You sound so close but it feels like you're so far
Oh would it mean anything
If you knew
What I'm left imagining
In my mind
Would you go
Kiss the rain
As you fall
Over me
Think of me
Think of me
Think of me
Only me
Kiss the rain
Whenever you need me
Kiss the rain
Whenever I'm gone too long
If your lips
Feel hungry and tempted
Kiss the rain
And wait for the dawn
Keep in mind
We're under the same sky
And the night's
As empty for me as for you
If you feel you can't wait till morning
Kiss the rain
Can you hear me
❤
That BRIDGE tho! That guitar solo sends chills down my spine! I was 16 living in Venezuela and this song was topping the charts for literally months! What a great time to be alive! This song is definitely a master piece and forever part of the soundtrack of my life! Absolutely brilliant!
Yes!!! Same here☺️
This song makes me sad and reminisce of the years past and the failed relationships. Whilst I believe everything happens for a reason I still find myself thinking of the good times before
Damn I'd completely forgotten this beauty of a song!
Everytime I listen to this song, I have to stop whatever I'm doing and just breathe into every words and soul of the song! Genius!

I wish I was in my 20s/30s throughout the 90s so I could've of appreciated the music more. Alas I was a kid. Songs like this bring back such happy memorys
Love it!
God bless you, Jesus loves you
What a song to listen too when we are stuck in lockdown, I guess when it’s lifted we will be kissing the rain, great song and even though it’s 23 years old, still fresh to listen too
Thanks for the music,i was looking for this song from 2010, finally I got it today 25-09-2024.
I have been looking for this song for 20 years or maybe more. As a child i heard it in radio. It feels like I've found my missing part :)
This song was everything. Still is. So deeply personal. Even after all these years it still holds up
Tell my daughter's if we are ever separated to go out and kiss the rain Im always near 😓

Обожаю эту песню еще с 90-х, а клип смотрю только в 2024 - как такое возможно? 😁
Loved that song sooo much when it came out... Now, 22 years later, it´s still brilliant...
80 n 90 is the most best ever in human history.

I agree the best years ever, I’d like to relive those days with the decent folk that was about

Me
Damn, this song hits hard even after all these years. I feel so fortunate to have lived in the 90s, when it all started. I was 14 and this song was one of my favorites. We are now in 2022, and the feels are still strong ♥️
I was a young adult when this song came out and it hit hard, but now that I’m older, it hits even harder. I love her and this song will never get old
i grew up in the 90s too...😁
Back in the 90’s when music was a feeling, this song still takes you there today. Although 39 and single, it’s even more relatable.
I've listened to this since i was in my early teens and still love it now I'm 38!! Absolutely love this song reminds me of one of my crushes!
First listen and I love it.
I've tried to listen to music past the Millennium, nothing interests me.
Take me back Where I Belong 70s 80s 90s
I must have listened to this song a billion times when I was a teen!
Another life changing song that's in my heart, mind, and soul forever. No words how important it is and was during my suicidal ideation times, and I know I'm not the only one.
September 2024.... 80s made and 90s raised here.... so much nostalgia from just one song!
