I loved your EDC video, it gave us a glimpse into the things you use on a daily basis. Being that I am a stroke survivor, I generally dont carry around everyday items like you do. But it is nice to see how the other half lives. :):):) Thank you for this video.

I like this setting. The slanted roof is like my kitchen. For a minute, I thought I saw the new light I want to put in, but, sadly, my kitchen ceiling is pretty low, and slanted. I'd take that light out! Also fun to see the green when I'm now surrounded by a sea of white.
EDC always meant pens to me, so you opened up my mind to the other things we carry every day. Of course, my Lamy 2000 is always with me, my wallet, my reMarkable tablet, my cellphone, my keys. My car is not EDC: I walk to work. But we share a love of our older vehicles. My 2000 model year Toyota Camry fits me like a glove. Replacing that car will be a sad day! And there is my bag, the glass I keep my lunch in, the insulated mug I carry my coffee in....

Hello My Friend! Thanks! I get kicked out into the porch when the house is too noisy and I need to get a video done! I am glad that you like it. Yes, we still have some green. There is snow expected next week, so our days are numbered. Lamy 2000 = EPIC choice!

I love edc stuff...for me I always carry a few fountain pens(my kaweco brass, and black stonewashed sport), a mini fountain pen emergency tin(the kaweco sport tin filled with extra nibs, converters, brass sheets, paper clips, a syringe, and small piece of leather) a loop, leather journal, mini foldable scissors, capped travel black velvet watercolor brush, my wallet, a couple mini notebooks for notes to give to people, a small set of D&D dice (because you never know), my phone, charging cable..uhh I think that's it..all in my bag of course. 😊

If you go down the quality mechanical Swiss watch ‘ rabbit hole ‘ you may find the cost of the hobby explodes compared to fountain pens . One of the reasons I started collecting pens was the cost of my solid gold Swiss watch collection obsession

I like how he makes and effort to be the learned and sophisticated man of class and taste.. and then whips that blade out like he about to cut a fool who’ needs a turn up in a midnight back alley bar knife fight. Sometimes you gotta let them know you’re from the streets.
I too have a premium boutique collection. I carry a lot of Gucci, though I do also have some LV. I use those items for me.. to feel special for myself. No one sees my belt but when I go to the bathroom I’m reminded, ahh yes, I’m a fancy boi.. lol.
My daily edc is easy. Usually a Gucci card case, and LV money clip, a Rolex bluesy, a pair of Persol shades, a sailor pro gear slim or a Kaweco sport, a Swiss Army knife WITH a magnifying glass in it. Age has also made that a necessity for me as well, so I started carrying a sak with it.

Very cool! Usually when you think “EDC” it is always some tactical pocket dump and usually includes a firearm. I carry one, too, but I’m usually turned off by the “mall-ninja” flavor of some folks’ EDC. Love the Benchmade!

Your EDC is definitely more upscale than mine. Love that pen, too!
I live in Japan and the cost of imported stuff (leather bags, watches, etc.) are pretty crazy. Finding domestic replacements for things (Casio, Platinum, Jins) makes replacing stuff much easier if it gets lost or broken. And Japan doesn't look kindly on carrying knives around so I definitely don't have one on me...I use a compact scissor set that looks like a pen (complete with clip!) to open letters and packages and such.
    Great video!!!

Have you heard of Higonokami knife? It's Japan made folding knife. I dont really know exactly the "Japan doesn't look kindly on carrying knives around" because I never lived in Japan but since the knives are made there and they are very small I supposed it's okay. I have one from the cheapest model which made from lower quality steel than their more expensive line ups but it's still soo sharp out of the box.

Like you I don't have an EDC as such because due to being semi retired I don't get out that much. So I have a pen and ink for the day of the week. For example my Wednesday ink is brown in a Conway Stewart Honey Noire and my Everyday Journal is one of 10 bespoke journals that I had made up.
My projects are undertaken using Paperblank Journals in 100gsm. Good journals may I suggest you look at them?
As a hobby I transcribe biographies of the great composers. It gives me something to write about and use my ridiculously large pen collection. I am lost in the rabbit hole. 🤣
    Enjoyed your video.

Interesting list of daily carry stuff . I carry a Cambridge Satchel which is just large enough for my iPad , my iPhone 12 , a leather wallet , keys , a Contract Bridge partners diary ( so I don’t forget who I am playing with and when in the next 28 days or so ) and a leather purse for small coins plus my Aldi trolley token , a MUJI small green notebook , and a medical certificate . My daily ride is a Honda motorcycle or Toyota Camry. I also carry small rSquares of scrap Paper and my Kaweco Sport . The squares Of paper I use to memo to friends or other Bridge players . I wear my Rolex Daydate or an early model Seiko Spring drive watch and a pair of reading glasses. Finally I carry two freshly laundered white folded cotton handkerchieves , my Apple ear pods and Bridge convention cards. I make a habit of emptying and repacking my satchel discarding any scraps of paper , surplus stuff and rubbish.

I am a watch lover as well, mainly vintage though I did buy in 2016 a new Grand Seiko SBGR061 which I love. Once you have a Cartier it is hard not to have one. I own a vintage 1969 yellow gold Tank manual wind, it is tiny compared to yours but back then was sold as a mans watch.

The Cartier is nice. I'm a big fan of IWC and Panerai. For traveling I carry one of the g-shocks that syncs tie to my phone, so when the plane lands, I turn on phone, and suddenly the watch changes to local time. The dress watches I really like (Lange, Vacheron Constantin), I cant afford. As a string player, I always carry nail clippers. A loupe is great thing to carry. For knives, I'm a big fan of Spyderco and some of (semi) custom Japanese pens. For travel, and when I bicycle commute to work, I use a TImbuk2 messenger bag.

Substitute the iPad for a laptop PC; the document bags for leather attache (aka brief) cases; and a few other minor differences. Thank you for sharing what you have handy each day. Yes, I would most certainly be interested in seeing your knife collection. Although I am new to fountain pens, I am not so regarding pocket knives. Wonder if you have heard of GEC? (reat Eastern Cutlery is company makes slipjoint knives that are akin to what people used in the past before the modern pocket knives became the norm. Case Knives also makes a lot of slipjoint knives but their quality control is more spotty, if you go for a Case, it is better that you buy from a brick and mortar shop that will let you examine the knife before you buy. Back to the subject at hand, of all the items you showed the ones that I want to add to my EDC is the loupe (sp?) and that handy little nail clipper.
