Really interesting but I remember reading that although Zertal felt his findings backed up the historical biblical ties to this Land, most archaelogists don't buy it and his findings remain controversial. Is this true?

It's true at most of them don't buy it, but most of there outlook in general is that the whole Tanach was written later on. We need to separate between the facts and the interpretation. The fact is that Adam found a structure that was built at least 3250 years ago, that everyone agrees. burnt bones of kosher animals everyone agrees, and the connection to Egypt everyone agrees. There are those who agree its an altar but not Yehoshuas altar because of it's location on the mountain. and there are those who say its not an altar at all and say it was just a tower from those days. In any case, even if we say that its an Israelite altar from those days and not Yehoshuas, thats still amazing. It's hard for the archeologists that dont belive in Tanach to change there mind after all of ese findings. So they go out of there way to explain differently. but the facts are the same facts. you can judge yourself. Adams outlook makes more sense to me.
