    I would say there is a lack of compresion adjustment for the suspensions, You can see in the rock garden the slow motion part how the wheels loose contact with the ground due to uncontrolled compresion. I adjusted mine with 10 clics closed the compresion and rebound in the fork and the rebound in the rear in the closer recomended setting. Huge improvement.

    220Kg for offroading fun, I can see this more for touring. It will sell well in the UK but 90% of buyers will never go offroad just like the BMW GS.

      Of course not,these are expensive bikes.

    • @TheRiderGuider
      @TheRiderGuider 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeh you're sort of helping me there in my buying decision ... I'm trying to weigh up between something a bit more off road focused (the T7 or KTM 790) and battling my Triumph loyalty ... I'm gonna be heading off road more and more and as much as the Tiger would be awesome, it's a bit too posh!!! They could do with making a lighter less fussy off roader.

    • @mcr0741
      @mcr0741 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TheRiderGuider get the KTM Adv 790R or the 1090R for hardcore (rally style) off-roading. I'd hate to beat a Triumph too. But for light off-roading, you can easily go with the normal versions (GT / XRx / 790 Adv) and slap on a set of Pirelli Scorpions or something and you're good to go.

    • @vivekstreme1994
      @vivekstreme1994 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a shame that you spend loads of money on buying a powerful triple cylinder motorcycle to find the bike lacks low end torque. Then what is the point of spokes if it doesn't have low end torque?
      When these manufacturers make. Single cylinder, torquey, 65 to 80 bhp engine on an adv frame then you have a bike which can be the true offroader.

    • @pateris
      @pateris 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@vivekstreme1994 Looks like the bike is new. It's a totally different story once the engine has a few thousand miles and is liberated ? Is that the right term in English ?) I tried a Street triple new and another one with 16 000 km on, it was a different bike !

    • @Freelancer919
      @Freelancer919 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mattuk7612 Exactly. It is a great bike. But for some people, like me, this kind of a thing might be a reason to search in competition instead. E.g. the Tiger 1200, according to what I heard, heats the ass and balls so well, that the heated seat button is basically useless :) I experienced the same issue on my friend's KTM. It was 30 °C outside and the heating was really annoying.

    Of course you can adjust the windshield on the go. There is a black metalic bar you just need to grab with one hand and push up or down.

  • @ICHRA11
    @ICHRA11 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Just returned from another 2000 km trip with my rally pro. The bike consumes 5litres per 100 km average (no off-road). By the way: You can open the smartphone compartment under the 2nd seat by pushing the lid....not pulling it like you did in the video...I think you broke it then ;-)
    And you can change the windscreen height when riding the bike. However it is hard to do at high speeds with all the wind pressure on the windscreen mechanism.

    Most people are saying that's heat from the engine is gone so Im really happy that you mentioned it's really not and even split radiators push hot air directly to your legs. Will need to try it in good weather to check it out as it's probably the most frustrating thing with Tigers (got Explorer 2gen and in the summer it's a nightmare). Other than that the bike fells super comfy and perfect for shirt and long rides (I also noticed lack of wind protection in the shoulders but good windscreen or additional plastic pieces should fix the problem).

    i like the Ralley Pro matt khaki color scheme, imposing height stand and manual adjustments for load/rebound. However, maybe 95% I will be on tarmac and just light gravel or dirt road (not exactly off-road). I understand that GT Pro is the option to go for this my kind of riding but the GT Pro just doesn't offer that spark for me. I am coming from a GSA1200 and the spoke rims + 19" front is perfect.
    Can you advice how the Ralley Pro handles when touring on highway on the 21" front tire with two up + topbox + 2 panniers?

    What boot are you using with the Klim Kodiak pants? I'm wondering if it's too tight fit with Sidi Adventure ones, thanks!

    The final piece of downhill from the ridge route towards Poiana Valea Stanei is almost always muddy and wet-ish and it is a little sketchy on a 12 kg mtb. I can't even try to comprehend how it would felt with 200 kgs undeneath you.

      Triumph is more comfortable than the KTM. KTM = more fun to ride.

    Hi.. great review!!
    I have to take a decision between tiger 900 and Africa twin 2020 MT.. haven’t tried Africa twin but 900 I have and I loved the Peppiness of the bike.. and how I could throw it around on corners or lean on highway rides.. my use is going to be 30% city traffic (and india is heavy traffic in cities).. 40-50% touring (that includes bad/broken roads) and 10-20% Offroad but not very hardcore..
    which one of the two do you think would suit the purpose better.. it’s a 6 month wait for getting Africa twin here.. I don’t mind if it’s worth the wait.. please enlighten.. thanks

    Great video, what is the tiger 900 top speed ? I have seen your video on the f850gs, so you would know who would win in a drag race between the f850 and the tiger 900 ?

    Truimph call it *"T-Plane"* since the crankshaft is spaced 90-degrees between the firing of the three, like a T

    How does tiger 900 compare to bmw gs850? Which is better on and off road? Which has lower seat height?

      I think that Tiger is better, but I have to do a head to head review.

    Thanks for the review. 👍 How do you like the Klim helmet? Plan do a review on that? How does it compare to Arai XD4? Thanks.

      I prefer the Arai. The Klim is light, and that's the best feature, but feels a bit cheap, is noisy and not too well isolated.
