Freaking amazing videos @TheOldDragoon! I really love how you go over all the basic info for each book you cover. I never got into Palladium Fantasy growing up, I was more into Robotech and GURPS. Now I know a lot more about Palladium Fantasy and Marvel Super Heroes and all the games I didn't get a chance to try growing up. RPGs from the 80s rock! It would be so freaking awesome if you made a video about Shadowrun 1st Edition, and some GURPS vids would be awesome too (3e, of course!) My new favorite channel, keep up the awesome work!
1E core rulebook read as a technical manual. 2E has been refreshingly more like a traditional game book. We had a demo game with the quickstart guide 4 weeks ago, and last weekend we had our first character creation session. Ending with a training dogfight between the players ship and another federation ship to introduce some ship to ship combat. Excited to play more 2E games!
@@TheOldDragoon I really appreciate it. I gave myself a headache after trying for like two hours of reading and re-reading. The NPC starship damage ratings just make no sense to me. For example, the Cardassian Galor, I think, is a seven. But when you reference the Starship Weapons table, that ship’s damage for that weapon should be a five- if I’m understanding everything right. Which leads me to believe that Department numbers are involved. But Department numbers aren’t involved with PCs? (As you see, confused.) Seriously, any help is appreciated.
Ferengi are finally a core player race?! Now i have to buy it.
Well, the 45th Rule of Acquisition says "Expand or Die." Modiphius has expanded the starting player race list.

@@RobotechRPGForever Wow, high praise! And those are all titles I plan to visit.

Did you find starship combat more intuitive in 2e than what was written in the 1e book?
Hello! Can you provide an example of how Starship Conflict damage works for PCs & a GM? The NPC starship examples have me confused.
I'll see what I can do. Starship Combat was always the part I had issues with in First Edition, as well.
